Yeah these next couple of months are going to be rough if last week and this week's show is any indication. Also the reports of them already changing direction again in terms of going more edgy with content to combat AEW.

It has some good stuff like Bron Breakker showing a lot of potential as a big star but also leaning heavy in the stuff people dislike about WWE's main roster shows, especially on the RAW side.

Im genuinely not sure about this relaunch. The wedding was Sports Entertainment at its finest, but they certainly arent going to be able to produce anything close to that every week.

This really has a "WWF New Generation" feeling. They are just throwing as many wrestlers with a bunch new gimmicks out as possible hoping to come out of it with 2 or 3 that actually stick.

Really feels like WWE should have held off the revamp or rebranding of NXT until after the Draft since this push towards new guys and gals would feel more effective and not as abrupt or out of place.

Like why debut a new gimmick for Joe Gacy only for him to lose in a quick match to Cameron Grimes. Same for Amari Miller getting squashed after the brief hype they gave for her.

Same for NXT now suddenly being more swear friendly since all it comes off as just WWE being reactionary towards AEW's swearfest last week and not more organic in a sense.

Whoever is in charge of promos in NXT now probably shouldn't be doing them anymore since that promo by Toxic Attraction was god awful.

Feels like Gacy's new gimmick is the type that either won't last or backfires badly at some point.

This is the same company that implied Retribution was an Antifa-like group in response to real world issues going on at the time but completely bungled their handling of it.

Breakker is easily the best thing about new NXT so far.

Feel Vince will still somehow screw him up when it comes to his main roster call-up time.

NXT's show this week wasn't that bad but it wasn't that good either. RAW somehow managed to be the better of the two shows this week and can't remember the last time that happened in terms of regular shows. Want to say maybe around 2 years ago when NXT had a taped show for Christmas week that was mostly dull.

Crowd 'into' Bron Breaker and Oddysey Jones and both have potential...but show feels like 'mini-RAW' in a lot of ways...I don't know that is a show I'll continue to watch to be honest.

Logic would say if Vince is booking him now in NXT he will know how to book him then on the main roster, but of course logic isnt always in Vince's corner

I completely forgot about it. Plus having ad block on makes it a lot easier to forget the film was even a thing.

I usually watch RAW & NXT via a live stream and majority of the time they just play some music videos or random stuff whenever the show goes to a commercial break. Or the feed itself isn't from the US so the ads that do get shown are a lot more different.

Making a mistake building the show around this guy ‘Bron Brekker’, sounds like a shit chocolate bar. Build it round Dunne instead and his fake tan, just have him come out every match and break someone’s fingers. Then give him by the best by default as every other NXT 2.0 ‘superstar’ can’t compete due to broken fingers.

Also get the rest of British Strong Style over so I can hear their beautiful Black Country accents every week in Amerika.

I watched the wedding. Cornette compared it to something straight out of Tuesday Night Titans but I don’t think people will be able to laugh at it ironically in years. The characters aren’t as good. It was more “TNA at its worst”. Bad comedy without legendary coked-out performers to make it tolerable.

Vince probably loves it now but that doesn't seem like the type of gimmick that will have a long shelf life or success in WWE.

Out of all the new gimmicks and/or characters debuted these past couple weeks, him and Andre Chase feel more towards bust territory right now.

They already "screwed him up" with this "Bron Breakker" business. According to Fightful Select, Vince & co's streak of messing around with NXT scripts is now at 2 weeks in a row.

Besides the abrupt change in direction to be more edgier in content, several plans and segments originally scheduled for the show got changed or dropped. One of the dropped plans involved a women's backstage segment meant to showcase more of NXT's newer female talent.

Mostly because of new NXT now focusing a lot more heavily towards creating main roster type gimmicks that Vince wants since he's in charge of it now.

One of the main purposes of Vince taking over NXT was because he was getting tired of NXT not giving him workable gimmicks that he liked or thought could be successful on the main roster. Its very ironic considering NXT has given him plenty over the years only to see them all get screwed up either because of ineptness or just not liking the gimmicks because it wasn't his creation.
