A few months ago I started a completely new fed from local and am trying to bring it up. I'm a few years in now and I've risen to a small company drawing pretty decent crowds (over 500) in the south west.

There have been a few times where I've wanted to start a WWE game but I know I wouldn't have time to focus on both and I'd end up abandoning the other game like I always do.

I think I'm going to give EWR a legitimate go again once I'm done with grad school in December. Right now I have very little free time so what time I do have I devote towards other games or the WWE Network (which can be purchased for just $9.99).

The good part about starting a game in December is that I can take it over right in time to book the road to WrestleMania.

I'll invariably re-institute the brand split like I always do, as well. Just makes it was easier for me to book.

I'm thinking I'll give it a go in January. November's going to be tied up with work and NaNoWriMo, and December is just always busy, so I may finally revisit that WWF/WCW/ECW idea after the new year.

I still do my local fed game on TEW2013. About 5 years in now and I'm just barely reaching regional level. It's tough because I'm running a fed that relies equally on star power and skill but I'm trying not to go all TNA and sign nothing but guys who have recognition from WWE. I've signed a few guys with star power but I haven't been giving them the titles or anything and I've been putting my top homegrown guys over them.

I was thinking of going back to my history and recapping the first 4 and a half years and then doing a journal but this topic seems to be relatively dead still.

Yeah, I have my doubts this topic will ever be fully revived. Many of the people who were regular contributors back when the topic got a lot of use have since left the boards. Even when Loopy and I get back into the fold it'd basically be the three of us talking to each other lol.

The best place to post journals, diaries, etc. about EWR or TEW games is EW Battleground. As best I can tell it's the only place left on the internet where there's an active wrestling sim community, and it's pretty much where all of the Adam Ryland diehards wound up.

On another note: There should have an option to film multiple episodes of a TV show in one night. I've found ways to get around having to pay guys for multiple events while still keeping angles going but it would be easier and more realistic if I could just film four episodes of my show in one night and then air them throughout the month.

WCW Monday Nitro 9/1/2003

The show opens with a video recapping the unbelievable events of last night's Road Wild pay-per-view. After taking #1 contender Hulk Hogan out earlier in the day, WCW World Champion Sting celebrated in the ring his lack of an opponent for the night by issuing an open challenge. The challenge was answered by none other than WCW Cruiserweight Champion "Sugar" Shane Helms. Sting toyed with Helms before the emergence of Hogan distracted Sting long enough to be rolled up. We have a new champion, and he is Shane Helms.

Mike Tenay and "Diamond" Dallas Page welcome us to the arena for Nitro as WCW Chairman Eric Bischoff's music hits. The Chairman enters the ring and calls new champion Helms out with him. He congratulates him on his victory in his typical heelish fashion. He mentions an arcane piece of WCW by-laws that do not allow champions to hold multiple titles simultaneously and announces that he's stripping Helms of the Cruiserweight Championship, effective immediately. He says that a 16-man tournament will begin Thursday night on Thunder and culminate at Fall Brawl and that tonight we'll have a 10-man cruiserweight tag exhibition featuring several of the participants.

As Bischoff leaves, his Chosen One, Jeff Jarrett emerges from the locker room. He says since Helms won the title on an open challenge, he figures he'll issue a challenge of his own. If Helms is man enough, Jarrett wants him one-on-one at Fall Brawl in three weeks.

Our opening contest is a smash-mouth encounter between a pair of WCW legends. Eventually, Big Van Vader loses his patience with being able to put Road Warrior Animal away, and blasts him with a steel chair. The pair brawl to the back afterwards. This is clearly not the last we'll see of these two.

Back from commercial, Nikita Koloff falls victim to a quick loss to "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Koloff looks frustrated after the match, but leaves without incident.

The WCW World Tag Team Titles are on the line next as The Mamalukes Johnny The Bull and Big Vito, representing the Natural Born Thrillers defend the gold against the upstart duo of Chris Harris and James Storm, America's Most Wanted. Early on, Vito distracts the official, allowing Sean O'Haire and Chuck Palumbo to jump Storm from ringside and Johnny The Bull picks up the cheap victory for the champs. A 4-on-2 beatdown ensues.

Backstage, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are watching the show on a monitor. Nash marvels at the progress his former proteges have made. Hall makes a crack about Nikita Koloff still being active. "I thought he was dead." "No, you're thinking of Nikolai Volkoff." "Nikolai Volkoff is still alive." "Really? Who am I thinking of, then?" It goes on like this. Hey, at least they're not wrestling, right?

Ten participants in the Cruiserweight Title Tournament are in the ring when we return from break. Jamie Noble captains the team of Crowbar, Harry Smith, Shannon Moore, and Ultimo Dragon against Ca$h, Mike Sanders, Jason Jett, Psychosis, and "Primetime" Elix Skipper. A ton of high-flying action as the ten men get in all of their key spots. The finish comes when Smith manages to hit the veteran Psychosis with his trademark corkscrew DDT for the minor upset. Smith looks strong heading into next week's first-round matches!

AJ Styles is backstage. He says that Eric Bischoff granted him a sneak peek at the brackets for next week and he can't wait to tear Billy Kidman apart!

Our main event pits the team of Booker T and Dustin Rhodes (collectively known as "Black Dust") against nWo representatives Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger ("Totally Buff"). The match of the night features quick tags by the babyfaces early until the heels get Booker isolated. He manages a hot tag to Rhodes, who is distracted by the arrival of Scott Norton and Scott Steiner. This allows Luger to get the jump on him and apply the Torture Rack. Rhodes submits, and the beatdown is on.

But suddenly from the back, Rey Mysterio Jr., who Tenay and Page confirm is the #1 seed in the Cruiserweight tournament, comes sprinting down the aisle. He gets beaten down for a bit until he's joined by... GOLDBERG! The monstrous Goldberg begins laying waste to the nWo until he, Mysterio, Booker, and Rhodes stand tall.

The nWo is halfway up the ramp when they're greeted by WCW Executive Committee member "Macho Man" Randy Savage. He announces that in 20 nights in Atlanta, Fall Brawl will once again host War Games! Bagwell, Norton, Steiner, Luger, and the former World Champion Sting against Goldberg, Rey Mysterio Jr., Dustin Rhodes, Booker T... and THE IMMORTAL HULK HOGAN! The crowd goes nuts, the nWo goes ballistic, and Nitro goes off the air.

WCW Thunder 9/4/2003

Thunder kicks off with the first match in the Cruiserweight Title Tournament pitting a pair of former champions against each other as Jamie By God Noble takes on Chavo Guerrero Jr. Exciting technical match with some high-flying action as well. In the end, Chavo blocks a suplex attempt and turns it into a brainbuster for the win.

Backstage, the nWo is showing some signs of dissension. Well, sort of. Really, it just looks like Rick Steiner is pissed. He's mad that his brother brought Scott Norton out with him to attack Team WCW last week and that Norton made the War Games team and he didn't. Sting finally tells him that if he can beat any of the members of Team WCW in a singles match, he can replace Norton on the team. Norton looks pissed now and gets in Rick's face. Scott and Buff Bagwell pull them apart while Lex Luger looks on, amused.

On Monday, Nikita Koloff was embarassed twice, first by losing to "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, then again by the Outsiders in a backstage segment. He looks to get back to his winning ways tonight against Ernest "The Cat" Miller. Unfortunately, Miller has other plans and finishes him off with a flurry of martial arts strikes. After the match, a frustrated Koloff lays Miller out and beats the crap out of him.

Once again, The Outsiders are shown watching the match on a monitor. Afterwards, they have some more choice words for Koloff. Hall in particular seems annoyed that they keep giving him TV time.

The Cruiserweight Title tournament continues as Ca$h takes on the 18-year-old rookie phenomenon Harry Smith, accompanied by the "Living Legend" Larry Zbysko. Ca$h tries to use his speed advantage to stick-and-move, but once Smith gets his hand on Ca$h and can overpower him, there's not much he can do. Smith picks up the clean win and celebrates with the fans after.

Back from break, "Prime Time" Elix Skipper is in the ring. He says he was informed earlier today that, because of his participation in the War Games main event, Rey Mysterio Jr. has withdrawn from the Cruiserweight Title tournament. Since Skipper was supposed to be his opponent tonight, he's been granted a bye into the quarterfinals. He talks about how it's now officially Prime Time and he issues a challenge to anyone from the cruiserweight division to fight him tonight in Rey's place.

That challenge is answered by the World Heavyweight Champion, "Sugar" Shane Helms! The crowd pops huge for the arrival of the champion while Skipper tries to get away. The official reminds him that he wanted this and forces him into the ring. It's a good match that's building some solid momentum when it's interrupted by #1 contender Jeff Jarrett, who lays out the champion with a guitar shot! The match ends in a DQ while Jarrett hits The Stroke.

Jarrett grabs a mic and talks some trash about Helms. The Chosen One says that Helms got lucky at Road Wild, but at Fall Brawl his luck runs out.

Our final Cruiserweight Title tournament match of the night pits Shannon Moore against Jason Jett. Two exciting young stars put together a good match that Moore wins with his version of the Twist of Fate.

Our main event of the evening pits the New World Order's "Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick Steiner against the unstoppable Goldberg! Did I mention that he's unstoppable? Because he totally is, putting Steiner away in short order with a Jackhammer. Steiner is 0-1 in his attempt to join Team nWo at Fall Brawl.

He's soon joined in the ring by Mysterio, Booker T, Dustin Rhodes, and the immortal Hulk Hogan. The members of Team WCW talk about the upcoming War Games match against whichever five members of the nWo they wind up sending into the double cage. Hogan does the bulk of the talking, the bulk of it about Sting. Pretty clear what WCW is focusing on for the match. Crowd is super into the segment, though, eating up the top five babyfaces in the company all on the same page as Thunder goes off the air.

WCW Monday Nitro 9/8/2003

Nitro kicks off with the remaining first-round matches in the Cruiserweight TItle tournament. "Above Average" Mike Sanders, with his manager Disco Inferno, takes on Crowbar. Decent match. You could probably call it... above average. I'll leave now. Oh, and Crowbar wins.

Inexplicably, EWR thinks that Chris Harris is a lighweight. I, inexplicably, let EWR's weight-class analysis determine who gets into my tournaments. C'est la vie. I don't know if I'm using that right. Anyway, the "Wildcat" beats Psychosis to reach the Elite Eight.

Last week, AJ Styles said that he would beat Billy Kidman tonight. And, you know what? He was right! Very exciting match that AJ wins clean with the Styles Clash. Remarkably, in a match involving a Styles Clash finish and Billy Kidman, no one died!

Our eighth and final spot in the quarterfinals is up for grabs in our next match pitting Ultimo Dragon against Juventud Guerrera in a battle of two of the cruiserweight division's founding fathers. Very exciting match. In the end, though, Juventud takes advantage of a Dragon slip-up (Sorry, Funky) to hit the 450 to get the win.

Backstage, the nWo is warming up. Three members will be in action tonight. Rick Steiner is still pissed about the whole my-brother-picked-somebody-other-than-me-to-attack-Booker-T-and-Dustin-Rhodes-last-week thing.

Road Warrior Animal, finally recovered from his brawl with Big Van Vader last week, takes on the struggling Nikita Koloff in our next match. It's a brief match that's interrupted by (SURPRISE!) Vader, who attacks Animal, resulting in a DQ loss for Koloff.

Backstage, Scott Hall is about to crack more Nikita Koloff jokes when he's blindsided by Koloff himself. Apparently, there is a limit to how many times you can have Scott Hall make fun of you. And that limit is two.

New World Order members Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton (collectively, Vicious & Delicious) are in the ring when we return from break. They will take on two of their (or, at least Buff's, we still don't know what's going on with whether Norton is in the match 'cause of Rick Steiner being a baby) War Games opponents, Goldberg and Dustin Rhodes (collectively, Goldberg & Dustin Rhodes). It's a Goldberg match, so he gets the hot tag and levels Buff with the Jackhammer for the win. After the match, Vicious & Delicious argue about whose fault that was. I'm gonna go with Goldberg.

Rick Steiner is out next for his next attempt at making the War Games match as he goes one-on-one with Booker T. The seven-time, seven-time, seven-time, seven-time, seven-time, seven-time, seven-time WCW Champion picks up the clean victory, and Rick is now 0-2.

The members of Team WCW then cut an in-ring promo because they keep giving me really high ratings. Oh, and they have a match in a couple weeks. There's that, too.

Our main event - I'm just gonna lay this out for you - is weird. Unlikely WCW Champion Shane Helms teams with Ernest "The Cat" Miller to face Konnan and #1 contender Jeff Jarrett. No real reason, I'm just curious what shit I can throw out there and still have higher ratings than Raw. No, really, this is building to stuff sort of, but still. Weird. Helms pins Konnan for the win. After the match, all four men brawl WE'RE OUT OF TIME WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT?!?!?

WCW Thunder 9/11/2003

On the two-year anniversary of the worst terror attack in US history, the arena for Thunder is draped in red white and blue. And, since this is WCW, the first wrestler we see is Mexico's Juventud Guerrera. He's teaming with AJ Styles to take on Crowbar and "Wildcat" Chris Harris. These four men will meet in Monday night's final two quarterfinal matches. Lots of high-flying action with Harris working as the "big guy," since, as we've established, EWR thinks he's smaller than he is. Eventually, though, AJ Styles hits Crowbar with the Styles Clash to pick up the victory for his team.

Scott Hall is backstage. He's done joking around, man. He was making fun of a guy who's pushing 50, still hanging in there. But Koloff had to make it personal. So at Fall Brawl, play time is over.

The quarterfinals of the Cruiserweight Title tournament kicks off with "Primetime" Elix Skipper, the man who advanced to this match by virtue of Rey Mysterio Jr. joining Team WCW and forfeiting his spot. He takes on the young upstart Harry Smith, who defeated Ca$h last week. It's a good match that serves its purpose, which is putting Smith over as the dark horse in the tournament. Smith hits a running powerslam to make it to the final four.

Backstage, two of Monday's main events (no, seriously) Konnan and Ernest "The Cat" Miller are being held apart by officials. Something about last week rubbed these guys the wrong way, and now it looks like they're on a collision course.

Our second semifinal berth is on the line next as Shannon Moore, who defeated Jason Jett last week, takes on Chavo Guerrero Jr. who eliminated Jamie Noble in the tournament's very first match. This is the match of the night as both men give it their all to grab some eyes. Chavo picks up the victory with a brainbuster to set up a semifinal showdown with Harry Smith next week on Thunder.

Sting is backstage without the nWo. He recaps the story thus far, they took out Hogan at Road Wild, only to have Shane Helms take Hogan's place in the main event and pull off the upset when Hogan returned to interfere. In ten days, Hogan brings his crew and Sting brings his. There may be some dissension in the nWo, but when we get to Atlanta, we'll stand united. Hogan, for everything you've done, in ten days... this means War.

Speaking of the dissension in the nWo, the "Dog-Faced Gremlin" Rick Steiner continues his attempt at making the War Games match. If he can defeat any member of Team WCW, he will take Scott Norton's spot in the main event. So far, he's been squashed by Goldberg and defeated by Booker T. Tonight, he faces Rey Mysterio Jr. Early on, Steiner goes for a Steinerline, but Rey swings around his arm, turns it into a headscissor rollup and picks up the win. Steiner freaks out, as he realizes he's now down to two more opportunities.

-EDIT - Totally forgot that Hulk Hogan cut a promo between these matches. Sorry, brother.

One man we've not heard from yet this month is the WCW United States Champion Mike Awesome. Tonight, he defends his title against Big Van Vader, who has been having recent problems with Road Warrior Animal. Surprisingly, Animal gets involved! Whaaaaaat?!? After a ref bump, Animal gets in his shots on Vader allowing Awesome to hit an Awesome Splash and retain the title. Animal and Vader brawl after the match.

An unmistakable guitar screech brings the crowd to its feet as WCW Executive Committee member Bret Hart says that if Animal and Vader want to tear each other apart, they'll get to. In Atlanta, at Fall Brawl in ten days, it's Road Warrior Animal vs. Big Van Vader in a street fight!

Just as on Nitro, our main event tonight is a tag team match involving the participants in Fall Brawl's World Title match. World Champion Shane Helms teams with Team WCW's Booker T to take on #1 contender Jeff Jarrett and the New World Order's Lex Luger. In a true WCW shocker, the match degenerates into a brawl. The rest of the nWo and the other members of Team WCW make their way to the ring but are held apart. Amidst the distraction, Jarrett blasts Helms with a guitar and covers him for the win. After the match, the ring fills with bodies and the announcers freak out as we fade out.

Some really awesome matches on Anarchy Rulz, especially the main event. Very interested in seeing that you gave Tajiri the belt. I was always a big fan of his. Would love to see where things go for him.

WWF NXT
Week 3: April 17, 2002

After all of the usual pomp and circumstance with the pyro, the legendary nWo theme hits as Scott Hall makes his way down the ring to angry boos to start us off.

Segment 1: Scott Hall/Kevin Haas/Tazz segment

He gets into the ring and says “hey yo”. He does his traditional “survey says” promo before the nWo theme hits again and out comes Charlie Haas under the guise of “Big Sexy” Kevin Haas, wearing the same wig and ridiculous outfit that he wore last week. He climbs into the ring over the top rope and thrusts his arm to the sky…only to collapse to the mat in a heap, clutching his bicep.

Hall looks befuddled as trainers come out to tend to Haas and help him off to the back, still holding his bicep in apparent agony. Tazz informs Hall that his rookie doesn’t appear to be fit to compete tonight, so Hall himself will have to face Haas’ opponent…Umaga!

Overall Rating: 75%, and evidently Kevin Haas gained overness for injuring his bicep

Segment 2: Scott Hall vs. Umaga (1-0) w/ Crash Holly

Whatever happened to Haas might have been a blessing in disguise, as the last time we saw Umaga he was bulldozing through the imposing Ron Waterman. Hall does his best to try and get the match under control, but Umaga keeps busting out flurries of power moves. Eventually after a Samoan Drop, Scott Hall rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope to catch a breather. He circles the ring and clotheslines Umaga’s pro, Crash Holly on the outside. Hall climbs back up to the apron, but then thinks better of it and drops back down. Hall channels his inner Dante from Clerks, deciding he isn’t even supposed to be here today. He walks to the back to boos and takes the countout loss.

Crowd Reaction: 68%, Match Quality: 78%, Overall Rating: 73%, Umaga gained overness

Segment 3: Eric Angle video

Continuing the trend from the first two installments of NXT, we have our rookie profile videos and this time the subject is Eric Angle. Angle discusses amateur wrestling background at Waynesburg University. He knows that everybody is going to compare him to his younger brother Kurt, and he helped him out against the Undertaker a couple years back (a video clip of Angle’s assist at Survivor Series 2000 was shown). But he wants to use NXT as a platform to show the world that he’s his own man so he can raise the family legacy to even greater heights.

Overall Rating: 68%, Eric Angle gained overness

Segment 4: Chris Nowinski (0-1) w/ Al Snow vs. Shelton Benjamin (1-0) w/ Rob Van Dam

In a rarity so far on NXT, we saw minimal involvement from the pros in this one…funny what happens when both pros are face. Benjamin used plenty of flashy moves, whereas Nowinski stuck the basics. The Harvard graduate did feel the need to gloat anytime he executed even the most basic of maneuvers, but he did genuinely wow the crowd with a spinning double underhook slam that he calls the Honor Roll. Benjamin got his foot on the ropes at 2, prompting a temper tantrum from Nowinski. By the time Nowinski was finished bitching, Benjamin was back on his feet and turned Nowinski around for a T-Bone Suplex for the win.

Crowd Reaction: 54%, Match Quality: 78%, Overall Rating: 66%

Segment 5: John Cena video

John Cena’s introductory video is next. He talks about being an All-American center for Springfield College before entering the realm of professional bodybuilding. But don’t let the packaging fool you. He may look like the perfect prototype for what WWF is looking for, but he’s not some dumb jock. If he’s going to win this contest he’ll need to stick to his core values: hustle, loyalty, and respect. Hey, that sounds like a pretty marketable catchphrase. Maybe it’ll make him some money someday.

Overall Rating: 69%, John Cena gained overness

Segment 6: John Cena/Edge interview

Yep, we go from one Cena talking segment to another. Somebody in the WWF offices clearly likes this guy. Jonathan Coachman asks Cena his thoughts on Kurt Angle needing to resort to cheating to beat him last week. Before he can say much though, Kurt and Eric Angle are on the scene. Kurt tells Cena to stop being a sore loser and that the better man won. In fact, his brother could whip Cena AND his pro’s ass easily. Eric looks caught off guard by the comment, as Cena and Edge advise Angle to bring it on. Before things can escalate into a fistfight, Tazz steps in to advise them that next week Kurt and Eric will face Edge and Cena in a tag team match (playa?)

Overall Rating: 79%, John Cena, Eric Angle, and Tazz all gained overness

Segment 7: Ron Waterman (0-1) w/ Hardcore Holly vs. Randy Orton (1-0) w/ Mr. Perfect

The main event was a decent brawl between the two up and comers. The crowd was solidly behind Orton, but the match itself was fairly even. Waterman takes control midway through and works over Orton to build some heat, but then Orton went into fiery baby face mode. Orton topples an interfering Hardcore Holly off the apron and then plants Waterman with his unique backbreaker, now known as the Overdrive.

Before Orton can go for the pin, his pro jumps on the ring apron, screaming at his rookie to use the Perfect Plex to finish off Waterman. As the ref tries to get Perfect to come off the apron, “Above Average” Mike Sanders enters the ring and hits Orton with his own finishing move. Sanders exits as Waterman comes to. Waterman connects with the Water Bomb (sitout powerbomb) and steals away a victory.

Holly and Waterman celebrate the cheap victory…but the announcers can’t help but wonder what business Sanders had interfering in this main event. Sanders backs up the rampway with a shit-eating grin on his face as we fade to black.

Crowd Reaction: 57%, Match Quality: 83%, Overall Rating: 70%

3 shows all hovering around the same rating, quite good for a show featuring a lot of unknowns. I’m happy with it. In post-show e-mail notes, Scott Hall bitched about Umaga working too stiff, and he lost around 20 points of morale for having to job to him. It was a fucking count-out, Scott! Quit your bitching!

Chris Jericho asks to face Chris Benoit. Great idea, Chris! Now just go ahead and tell that to the guy actually booking your brand. Similarly, Big Show thinks it would be a good idea to work with Kevin Nash. Somebody better show him their match from Souled Out 1998.

WCW Monday Nitro 9/15/2003

The final Nitro before Fall Brawl opens with tag-team action involving two of the Cruiserweight Title tournament semifinalists and two men on a collision course. It's Harry Smith and Ernest "The Cat" Miller vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Konnan! Surprisingly solid match considering the hodgepodge nature of the teams. The two upcoming battles wind up becoming more than referee Charles Robinson can contain and he calls for the bell, disqualifying both teams!

WCW Executive Committee member Vince Russo comes out onto the ramp and announces what we all kind of assumed: Ernest Miller vs. Konnan will happen in six days at Fall Brawl!

Two spots have been filled in the semifinals, and #3 is on the line next as the phenomenal AJ Styles (who eliminated Billy Kidman in round one) takes on Crowbar (who dispatched "Above Average" Mike Sanders). Tonight's match of the night is a high-flying affair. The brash Styles hits his trademark Styles Clash on Crowbar, then heads to the top for a Spiral Tap. He takes too long playing to the crowd, which allows Crowbar time to climb up beside him, push him off the top, and hit a moonsault for the victory! After the match, AJ throws a fit. This title is his, dammit!

Backstage, a handful of wrestlers are watching the match on a monitor. As AJ limps past them, he overhears what he's pretty sure is laughing. He turns to confront the source... "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Styles blasts Duggan with a kick and walks off.

Crowbar has joined Harry Smith and Chavo Guerrero Jr. in the semifinals, and the final spot is up for grabs as America's Most Wanted's "Wildcat" Chris Harris (who took Psychosis out of the tournament) takes on Juventud Guerrera (who won the best match of the tournament thus far against Ultimo Dragon). Solid action, but Harris' Cinderella run comes to an end at the hands of Juvi's 450 splash. After the match, Chuck Palumbo assaults Harris, laying him out with a Jungle Kick.

"American Made" hits the speakers as Hulk Hogan leads Team WCW to the ring. Once in the ring, the quintet of Hogan, Bill Goldberg, Booker T, Dustin Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio Jr. strike an imposing figure. Hogan grabs the mic and cuts a pretty fantastic promo about War Games.

The nWo theme hits, and the six members make their way to the ring, led by Sting. Sting barks some orders at Rick Steiner, who enters the ring to face Hogan in our next contest. Steiner is 0-3 in his attempts to make the War Games team. He falls to 0-4 after a big boot/legdrop combo.

An ailing Steiner is helped to his feet by his brother as the nWo enters the ring. Team WCW leaves, because now it's the heels' turn to cut a promo. Sting says that Steiner has one final opportunity on Thursday. If he can defeat Dustin Rhodes, he's in. If not... he's out. Both Steiner brothers look terrified while Scott Norton almost kind of sort of smiles.

Sting is in action in a rare TV match (hey, if I'm making Hogan do it, Sting wants to play, too!) against "Cowboy" James Storm. It's almost like wrestling is staged, because after Sting hits the Scorpion Deathdrop and wins the match, Sean O'Haire hits the ring and lays Storm out with a Widowmaker!

Eventually, they're separated, Chris Harris comes out to join Storm, and Chuck Palumbo joins O'Haire. AMW challenges O'Haire and Palumbo to a match at Fall Brawl... and they accept!

Tonight's main event is a six-man Fall Brawl preview as the World Champion Shane Helms teams with Scott Hall and Road Warrior Animal against the #1 contender Jeff Jarrett, Nikita Koloff, and Big Van Vader. It's better than the combined ages of the participants would make you think, with the young champion hitting Jarrett with a Vertebreaker to get his win back from Thunder. The three singles matches get into individual staredowns as Nitro goes off the air!

WCW Thunder 9/18/2003

The go-home show before Fall Brawl kicks off with the first semifinal match in the Cruiserweight Title tournament. Harry Smith's unlikely road to the final four has included victories over Ca$h and "Primetime" Elix Skipper, while Chavo Guerrero Jr. has knocked off Jamie Noble and Shannon Moore. These two were on opposing teams on Nitro resulting in a double DQ. No draws tonight, though, as Chavo ends Smith's Cinderella story with a well-timed brainbuster to advance to the title match.

Chavo's Fall Brawl opponent is to be determined next as the deranged Crowbar, who has defeated "Above Average" Mike Sanders and AJ Styles to get to this point, takes on Juventud Guerrera, who holds victories over Ultimo Dragon and America's Most Wanted's Chris Harris. While not quite as good as our opener, these two put on another exciting cruiser match that ends with Juvi hitting the Juvi Driver for the win.

After the match, WCW Executive Committee member Bret "Hit Man" Hart comes to the ring to make it official, in three nights at Fall Brawl, it will be Chavo Guerrero Jr. against Juventud Guerrera for the vacant WCW Cruiserweight Title!

Rick Steiner has one last chance to redeem himself in the eyes of the New World Order as he takes on Team WCW's Dustin Rhodes. Steiner has lost four matches in a row, and must defeat Rhodes to earn Scott Norton's spot on Team nWo for War Games. Norton has other plans and attacks Rhodes, resulting in a DQ victory for the Son Of A Son Of A Plumber. After the match, Rick and Norton get in a shoving match.

The rest of the nWo enters the ring to pull them apart... and then turns on Steiner! Sting, Norton, Luger, Bagwell, and even Rick's own brother Scott put the boots to Steiner, leaving him laying.

Back from break, officials have removed Steiner from the ring and Road Warrior Animal is on his way down the ramp to challenge Sting for our next contest. Animal has a big match with Vader in three days, but he's no match for the former World Champion, and Sting puts him away with the Scorpion Deathdrop.

We have a big eight-man tag team match next, but the first man to the ring, AJ Styles, grabs a microphone. He cuts a promo on "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, who he got physical with earlier (phrasing). He challenges Duggan to a match at Fall Brawl. They hear it through the headset... YES. Duggan accepts the challenge.

Styles' partners for this match will be the aforementioned Big Van Vader, Natural Born Thriller Sean O'Haire, and the #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title, the chosen one Jeff Jarrett. Their opponents will be four of the five members of Team WCW, Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Booker T, and Rey Mysterio Jr. The announcers hype up War Games and say that the Executive Committee has announced that whoever gets the decisive fall in that match will be #1 contender for the World Title at Halloween Havoc in October! Team WCW shows that they are a well-oiled machine, ending with Goldberg spearing O'Haire almost in half before picking up the win with the Jackhammer.

Ric Flair is backstage. He says Ric Flair things, which means this is a 100% segment, baby! WOOOOOOO! He says you don't wanna miss Fall Brawl, because the Nature Boy is gonna be in Atlanta, and that means the party is gonna last allllll niiiiiight looooooong.

Our main event match is for the World Tag Team Championships. The Mamalukes, representing the Natural Born Thrillers, defend against the World Champion "Sugar" Shane Helms and the United States Champion Mike Awesome. The announcers speculate about what would happen if Helms and Awesome won, since Helms was forced to vacate the Cruiserweight Title because he had won the World Title. It's all for naught, though, as Jarrett returns to the ring and blasts Helms with a guitar, allowing Johnny The Bull to pick up the victory. After the match, Jarrett helps the Thrillers put the boots to the fallen babyfaces as we're outta time don't miss Fall Brawl exclusively on pay-pe--

It's building to something bigger, but I wanted to tell a story about an unexpected title change, since there hasn't been one in so long. Hopefully the way I see the story playing out doesn't get derailed by injuries before the big Starrcade payoff. I'm not particularly optimistic about Fall Brawl being very good, since most of my top guys are tied up in one match, but hopefully Starrcade redeems it. Going out of town tomorrow for a couple days, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post Raw or Extreme TV, but I wanted to get a start on this before I lost my motivation again.

On the aftermath of Fastlane, Which saw Daniel Bryan defeat Roman Reigns to become the new number one contender to face Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania after a surprise attack from the United States Champion Rusev. How will Roman Reigns deal with losing with his date with destiny, and will the Yes Movement be able to overcome the Beast Incarinate Brock Lesnar?

Also at Fastlane, Dolph Ziggler regained his Intercontinental Championship from Bad New Barrett, after losing it the night himself, Ryback and Erick Rowan were fired. Tonight the new Intercontinental Champion will team with Ryback and John Cena to face Seth Rollins, The Big Show and Kane!

Start Of Show!
Behold, The King Of Kings as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon make their way down to the ring. Triple H doesn’t seem to look to happy, as the crowd is ripping into the power couple. Triple H and Stephanie go over the fact that the B+ Player has once again managed to get himself into the Main Event at Wrestlemania. Triple H however says the blame isn’t on Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan or even the United States Champion Rusev who costed Reigns his shot at Brock Lesnar. But is on one man, One man who believes he can show up only when he wants too and try to change history. That man is Sting. Triple H and Stephanie go over the fact, that if it wasn’t for Sting, none of this would be happening. Triple H is about to say something else, when Sting music hits to a huge pop, but Thing doesn’t come out. The Authority laugh because Sting really doesn’t care about the WWE, yet he like sticking his nose in their business. Tonight Triple H and Stephanie say they will correct the mistakes of the past, because that is what is best for Business, and that the biggest mistake Triple H ever made was allowing Sting into the WWE, but tonight that changes, To steal a phrase from Stephanie Father….Sting…You’re, But before Triple H can finish the line, Sting has appeared behind him and hits a Scorpion Deathdrop to a Thunderous Pop, as Stephanie looks on in horror!

The Uso’s v. Gold & Star Dust
It was caught clear in this match, that there is still some friction between the two Dust Brothers, as Star Dust never was on the same page as his older brother. It seemed that not even a future chance at their lost Tag Team Titles could bring the group back together, as the USO’s for the most part dominanted this match up with Jey hitting the Superfly Splash for the win on Goldust. The Uso’s celebrate their victory, but it is cut short as The WWE newest Tag Team, The Ascension hits the ring, and destroy the Tag Team Champions with their own championships! * ľ

Backstage Interview (Rusev w/Lana)
We are backstage as Lana demands our attention for the man who has held the United States Championship for over 4 months now. Lana tells us that Rusev should be the World’s hero and not just Russia’s after righting a wrong that happened at the Royal Rumble when Roman Reigns stopped the Hero from the Russian Federation from becoming the first man in history to have the chance to hold both the United States and WWE World Heavyweight Championship! Lana lets us know that Roman Reigns is not here tonight, too ashamed to show his face after Rusev crashed him. Tonight Rusev will continue to crush all that is in his way!

Singles Match
Rusev v. Darren Young
Darren Young makes a RAW appearance on Raw tonight, which we have not seen much of him since him and Titus O’Neill broke up last year. The appearance was short lived as once again the United States Champion crushed whoever was in front of him. Picking up the victory with the Accolade! Rusev releases the hold, and is given his medal, before once again putting Young in the Accolade, as a clear message to anyone, that Rusev will destroy anything in his path. ** 3/4

Note – I guess the crowd was still very fired up over the events of Sting and Triple H, as well as the Uso’s and Dust brothers match, as this was considered a letdown. I need to learn better card placement when it comes to this, or not to underestimate that maybe the Uso’s are indeed over!

Backstage Segment
We cut backstage as The rest of the Authority is seen trying to come down Triple H and Stephanie who are livid after the fact that Sting laid his hands on Triple H. Seth Rollins tells Triple H that he will take care of this, but it’s Triple H who cuts off Rollins, letting him know, this is now personal, and he is going to fix this problem himself, and that Sting will finally have his first and only WWE Match at Wrestlemania against the King Of Kings himself.

We cut away as Bray Wyatt comes into view, letting you know, That he is here! Wyatt makes his way down to the ring. Since making his debut in the WWE, Wyatt tells us that he has created a path unlike any other before him. He tells us, that is will soon be time for the world to meet the newest member of his family in due time. Wyatt talks about how he will take us out of the darkness and into a new world. Bray continues to go on when suddenly.

DONG! The Lights in the arena go out to a huge pop, as for the first time since the Streak was ended at last year Wrestlemania, The Undertaker appears. He scrolls down to the ring, as him and Wyatt stand face to face. The Destroyer of Worlds looks delighted unlike all thoses before him. The two continue to stare down each other as the crowd is going wild. Neither man has even a remote look of fear in their faces.

Bad New Barrett comes down to the ring, letting people that last night might of looked like a Bad Thing, but it was a good thing, because Bad New Barrett will be moving on to bigger and better things. However it seems that there is Bad News for Barrett, as Roman Reigns music hits to a huge pop. Reigns doesn’t say a word and instead decks Barrett with a huge clothline, as Reigns is angry about losing his Title Shot last night to Daniel Bryan as we head to commercial!

We are back as This is now a Singles Match between Bad New Barrett and Roman Reigns!

Singles Match
Bad New Barrett v. Roman Reigns

Reigns is on fire at the start of this match, as he is running on pure Anger, as he is dominating the former Intercontinental Champion. Barrett eventually outsmarts Roman gaining the advantage and nearly scores the upset with the Wasteland. Barrett continues to stay in control, until he tries to hit a big Superplex, but is backdropped to the outside. Reigns follows and is nearly counted out as Barrett attempts to sneak back into the ring. Reigns however slides back into the ring. After several minutes of hard hitting back and forth Action, which saw Barrett reverse a attempt at the Superman Punch into the Winds Of Change for another near fall. Barrett pulls down the Elbow pad, but the taunting allows Reigns to hit the Superman Punch. Barrett struggles to his feet and is taken down by a huge Spear by Reigns for the Win! ** Ľ

Here Comes The Pain as the man who is the 1 in 21 and 1 makes his way down to the ring with Paul Heyman! The WWE World Heavyweight Champion stands proud as he goes over what he has done for the past year, Including conquering what couldn’t be done, in defeating the Undertaker Wrestlemania Streak, The complete destruction of John Cena at Summerslam, and scaring the man who holds Money In The Bank so badly, that he won’t even attempt to cash in on his client….BROCK LESNAR!

Heyman says that it doesn’t matter who they throw at him, there will never be a champion like his client because Brock Lesnar only knows how to Eat, Sleep, Destroy and Repeat, and Heyman asks the crowd, Will Lesnar continue to be World Champion after Wrestlemania…Heyman simply responds with YES!

Heyman asks us, Do they know the story of David versus Goliath? He talks about how David took down the Giant, but tells us, this is the real world, and that a Beast will always overcome the underdog. Heyman tells us that that Daniel Bryan should be proud of his moment last year, but also reminds us, that it was his client Brock Lesnar that everyone was talking about when he became the 1 in 21-1.

Daniel Bryan music hits as he makes his way to the ring, to a huge pop and a roar of Yes’s! Daniel tells us that last year was a big moment for him, finally overcoming everything that Triple H and Stephanie threw in his way to finally get the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Heyman cuts him off, talking about while he did overcome the odds, forcing a Actor to tap out is a lot different than facing the Beast Incarnate. Heyman tells us that Daniel Bryan is a amazing talent, and his tale of coming back after nearly losing his career should be inspiration to others, but reminds us that his neck could be an issue. Heyman questions whether or not Bryan really wants to go thru with this. To think about his wife Brie, and the children that they might one day have. Do you really want to face a man, who destroyed John Cena, and a man who can easily grab you and give you Fifteen German Suplexes on that repaired neck of yours. Bryan thinks about it, and simply replies with YES! Lesnar seems amused with Bryan fortitude, but mentions to Heyman that he could easily break Daniel Bryan in half by simply breathing on him.

Paul Heyman: Are You Sure that this is what you want Bryan. You already done so much in making this far, there is no shame in running away.

Bryan replies with Yes, as Heyman continues to try to advise Bryan that his answer should be No, and that once it set in stone, Brock will not see a challenger, but another body broken in his way. Daniel replies with another Yes, as the crowd is fully behind him as his music plays as we head to commercial!

WWF Monday Night RAW 9/1/2003

Immediately after the opening sequence, we see The Rock and Brock Lesnar face-to-face in the locker room. The dominant World Heavyweight Champion (for the last 371 days) reinforces the announcement made last week. The Rock's request for a rematch has been granted by the McMahon family. Brock's caveat to agreeing to the match was that he picked the circumstances of the match. The match will happen. At the Royal Rumble. In four months. After he faces literally everyone else on the roster. Rock talks some trash. Brock wishes him luck. His Road To Redemption starts now.

The Rock makes his way to the ring. He paces, awaiting his first opponent. Jim Ross and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin are on commentary, talking about how Rock doesn't need to win all, or even any of his R2R matches. He just has to have them. Lesnar is softening up Rock so that when January comes around, Lesnar can pick up the pieces. Rock's opponent is introduced, and it's... Christopher Nowinski. The Smartest Man In Wrestling enters the ring, the bell sounds, he attempts a clothesline, gets stuck with a Rock Bottom, and The Rock is one match down on his Road To Redemption!

The enigmatic Raven is backstage with his associates Stevie Richards and Tazz. Raven talks up the fact that there's a title match tonight and two #1 contender matches, but no room on the card for him. What about me? What about Raven? Stevie mentions that one of the contender matches is for the Women's Title. Tazz chokes Stevie out. Raven thanks him.

Chris Jericho is backstage being interviewed. Pretty typical Jericho stuff, which means it's awesome. Unfortunately, it amounts to little more than self-promotion. He talks a little about his stablemate Kurt Angle's opportunity to be #1 contender tonight, but he mostly talks about himself.

The Divas are out next in a triple-threat tag team match. The winning duo will face Molly Holly in a triple threat for the Women's Title this Thursday on SmackDown! All six women get in their signature spots leading to a series at the end where Ivory hits a facebuster on Gail Kim, only to eat a Mick Kick from Mickie James, who then takes the Widow's Peak from Victoria, who gets hit with Stratusfaction by Trish Stratus, who gets flattened by a moonsault from Lita. Lita and Ivory win the match and will face Molly in three days for the gold!

Back from commercial, "Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero is in the ring. He talks a bit about his ongoing issues with Triple H. He challenges The Game to a match at Unforgiven. HHH steps out onto the ramp and accepts the challenge!

Tonight's title match is for the Intercontinental Championship! The unlikely champion Bubba Ray Dudley comes to the ring, flanked by his half-brother D-Von and their Dudleyville Protection Agency partners Bradshaw and Faarooq. He knows he needs numbers on his side, because when his music stops, the arena sound is drowned out by the revving of twelve huge motorcycles, the introduction of The Dirty Dozen! Of course Undertaker leads the way for his gang, followed by his remaining partners. X-Pac dismounts and enters the ring. He'll face Bubba for the belt, but it looks like a lumberjack match with the fourteen combined stablemates at ringside.

Bubba uses his strength advantage throughout the match while X-Pac tries to stick and move as best he can. Finally, the brutal biker gang begins assaulting the DPA at ringside, distracting the referee long enough for Hardcore Holly to enter the ring and hit Bubba with an Alabama Slam. He turns around in time to see Pac cover Bubba for the win and the title change!

The beatdown complete, The Dirty Dozen enter the ring to celebrate with Pac. Undertaker talks about how this is just the beginning. Tonight, he'll win the fatal fourway to become #1 contender for the World Title. Soon, the Dozen will control all the WWF gold! Taker, Pac, Holly, Big Show, Kane, the New Age Outlaws, Val Venis, K-Kwik, Maven, Al Snow, and Chyna all pose as we go back to commercial.

Taker remains in the ring, but the rest of the Dozen has been banned from ringside for tonight's main event. He is joined by Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, and the upstart John Cena. The winner of tonight's Fatal Fourway will face Brock Lesnar at Unforgiven for the World Heavyweight Championship! The main event is also the match of the night as all four men give it their all in a battle for supremacy. Cena looks like he has the match won when he picks Undertaker up for the F-U, but he's blasted by Sweet Chin Music by Michaels! Taker takes a nasty tumble to the floor, Cena is out cold, and Michaels has his back turned too long, allowing Angle to sneak up behind him and hit the Angle Slam for the victory!

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon appears on the TitanTron to a massive pop! He makes the match official: At Unforgiven it will be Brock Lesnar defending the World Heavyweight Title against the Olympic Hero Kurt Angle!

Angle celebrates for a bit, but the cameras quickly cut backstage where John Cena and Shawn Michaels have to be pulled apart, each blaming the other for his loss. This does not look like the last time the Heartbreak Kid and the Doctor of Thuganomics will cross paths!

ECW Hardcore TV (9/2/2003)

Paul Heyman is in the ring as the cameras come up. He talks up Anarchy Rulz, coming up in just two weeks. There are no matches on the card currently, but he says that's all likely to change as the next two weeks are going to be full of the best ECW has to offer. He just found out that their audio is fucked up (yay for being on HBO and being able to say "fucked up" on a nationally-televised wrestling show) tonight, so there will be no commentary. But don't worry, kids, Steve Prazak and Joel Gertner will be back next week. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I totally forgot to assign announcers to the show. Shit.

After Harry Slash and the Slashtones fade out, it looks like it's time for tag team action as Chris Candido and CW Anderson take on the team of Dan "The Beast" Severn and The Amazing Red. Pretty shortly after the bell rings, the opening riff of "Natural Born Killaz" begins to play, and the crowd erupts. Sure enough, the Original Gangsta New Jack, comes to the ring with his shopping cart full of weapons. He blasts Candido with a guitar, smashes Anderson with a stop sign, breaks a laptop over Severn's head, and drives Red through a table. The music never stops playing as Jack poses over his victims.

In a pre-taped segment, Cyrus The Virus says that he'll be watching Anarchy Rulz very closely. ECW's contract with "The Network" may have ended, but that doesn't mean that Cyrus isn't still looking for a few good men.

The ECW World Television Title is on the line next in a clash between two Japanese stars. Gedo defends against Taiyo Kea! It's a brutal strong style mixed with ECW hardcore match that Kea looks to be on the verge of winning before "The King Of Old School" Steve Corino emerges from the crowd and hits Kea with the Old School Expulsion, allowing Gedo to retain.

After the match, Corino challenges Kea to a match at Anarchy Rulz. "I'm sure once you regain consciousness, you'll accept."

Back from break, Little Spike Dudley is already in the ring awaiting his opponent. From the curtain emerges the Samoan Bulldozer, Jamal Umaga. Spike tries to get in some offense, but Umaga is just too fast and just too strong, putting him away in short order with a top rope splash.

Backstage, Christopher Daniels says that his mission to rid ECW of its old guard will continue at Anarchy Rulz. The Fallen Angel will usher in a new era, redefining extreme, and it all starts with the eradication of the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal Sabu!

Two of the most technically-sound wrestlers on the roster are up next as Jerry Lynn and Low Ki go one-on-one. This one is too exciting to do any justice here. A ton of near-falls, and even some classic finisher no-sells. Toward the end, Ki goes for his top-rope stomp. Lynn kips to his feet, catches Ki with a kick, and prepares for a cradle piledriver, but the bell sounds. Lynn and Ki are both confused. The referee shrugs and explains that the television time limit had been reached.

Ki grabs the official, but Paul Heyman quickly emerges from the back and says that Ki and Lynn will face off again, this time with no time limits, at Anarchy Rulz. Ki lets the official go, starts to walk away, then blasts him with a kick. Lynn chases him off and checks on John Finnegan as we head to commercial.

It's time for our main event as Masato Tanaka takes on ECW World Champion "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock in a non-title bout! Shamrock throws everything he has at Tanaka, who - as usual - shows no signs of feeling pain like a normal human. In the end, it takes Shamrock blocking Tanaka's attempt at a tornado DDT onto a chair and instead turning it into a top-rope belly-to-belly onto the chair to pick up the victory. Shamrock celebrates the hard-fought victory as his music plays.

Suddenly, Shamrock is laid out from behind by his own title! The Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri lays into the champion with a series of brutal kicks before throwing himself over the top rope to lock in the deadly Tarantula. Shamrock screams in agony, eyes popping as if he would snap if he could only get free, as Hardcore TV goes off the air.

ECW Hardcore TV (9/9/2003)

With just five days to go until Anarchy Rulz, a loaded edition of Hardcore Television is kicked off by the extreme mastermind Paul Heyman welcoming us to the arena. He makes it official. What happened last week gave him a brilliant idea for this Sunday's main event. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock will defend the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against the only man on the planet who could conceivably take that dangerous mantle from him, the Japanese Buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri. The crowd erupts at the announcement. Steve Prazak and Joel Gertner check in on commentary and play up tonight's huge tag team main event that will pit those two against each other, along with their respective partners: Rob Van Dam and Masato Tanaka!

The ECW World Television Title is on the line in our opening contest as Gedo defends against Amazing Red! Solid high-paced action between the two that sees the youngster come within a half-count of claiming the gold. Eventually, though, the Japanese veteran puts Red away with his trademark flying senton to retain his belt.

Rene Dupree and Sylvan Grenier, the hated La Resistance, come to the ring to talk some trash. They've been told they're involved in a three-way dance for a future ECW Tag Team Title shot at Anarchy Rulz. The other two teams haven't been announced yet, but they're confident that not only will they finally prove that they are the best tag team in ECW, but they are the greatest French Canadian tag team in the history of wrestling! As they continue to gloat, they are blindsided by the returning Fabulous Rougeau Brothers! Jacques and Ray put the boots to Grenier and Dupree while the ECW faithful have a nostalgia mark-out moment.

Second-generation star Erik Watts is out next for a match against Ikuto Hidaka. The pair of 28-year-olds put on a solid match, but Watts is the star here, picking up the victory. After the match, Satoshi Kojima blindsides Watts and puts the boots to him.

Backstage, Steve Corino says that he attacked Taiyo Kea last week because he knows that Kea has been living a lie. Corino is old school. He's the King Of Old School. There's no one in this business today with a greater respect for the history of our sport than Steve Corino. From the WWF to WCW to ECW to the AWA, Memphis, Mid-South, Mexico, Japan... The tradition of this business needs to be respected. So when he sees a Hawaiian, an American, passing himself off as Japanese just because he spent his career in Japan is disrespectful. Kea needs to embrace his gaijin status, just as he (Corino) has. Embrace your past. Embrace the old school.

The team of Little Guido and Sonny "Cocky" Siaki are warming up. Alice in Chains' "Man In The Box" begins to play, and the crowd comes unglued! Tommy Dreamer, the Extreme Original, comes to the ring, accompanied by the eccentric Blue Meanie. It's a good old-fashioned extreme tag team war! Just as the bell sounds, Meanie is blindsided by someone from the crowd. Dreamer notices his partner has been felled, only to eat a spinning back kick. The Colossus Of Boggo Road, Nathan Jones, lays waste to Dreamer and Meanie, then gestures for the heels to pick up the pin. Guido and Siaki seem shocked, but they oblige and win the match without any effort.

We do get a hardcore tag team match next as the ECW World Tag Team Champions Danny Doring and Roadkill defend the gold against Excellence Inc., made up of Michael Modest and Donovan Morgan. Very exciting action with Doring bumping for the heels before making a hot tag to Roadkill. Eventually, Doring picks up the victory with his top rope Danaconda leg drop.

The cameras quickly cut backstage where Jerry Lynn and Low Ki have begun to brawl. They're on a collision course for Anarchy Rulz, but ECW officials have to pull them apart tonight.

Christopher Daniels, who is on a mission to remove the Extreme from Extreme Championship Wrestling faces off against Sandman in our next contest. The beer-swilling cane-swinging Sandman tries to interject his hardcore style into the match, but Daniels is too fast, too talented, too technically sound to be denied his victory. He hits his Angel's Wings finisher on Sandman for the clean victory. After the match, Daniels' Anarchy Rulz opponent Sabu lays him out with a chair, then hits a Triple Jump Moonsault. Daniels escapes to the floor and yells at Sabu, who points to the sky.

It's almost time for our main event! But first, Mr. ECW Rob Van Dam issues a challenge to one of his opponents tonight, Masato Tanaka, for a one-on-one match at Anarchy Rulz. Tanaka accepts, and it's time for our main event tag match.

It's Tanaka and the #1 contender Yoshihiro Tajiri against Van Dam and the ECW World Heavyweight Champion, Ken Shamrock! Not surprisingly, this is our match of the night as the four top stars on the ECW roster do battle. Most of the match is broken down into singles segments previewing Anarchy Rulz. In the end, the match degenerates into a brawl. RVD misses a Five-Star Frogsplash. Tanaka goes for the cover, but is pulled off into an ankle lock by Shamrock, only for Tajiri to blast him with the Buzzsaw Kick. For the second week in a row, Tajiri stands tall over Shamrock. Will he make it three in a row at Anarchy Rulz?

Boring brawling from Jim Duggan is the cure for insomnia. Jim Duggan connects on AJ Styles with a flurry in the corner...but no one seems to care. A powerslam so weak, my grandmother could have performed it, is actually pulled off by Duggan on Styles. Styles blocks a punch. Styles crushes Duggan with a huge legdrop. Ric Flair is at ringside! Duggan wastes valuable time by yelling at Flair! AJ Styles takes advantage of the distraction and nails Duggan from behind! Jim Duggan is in trouble. Lex Luger DOESN'T take a page out of Andre the Giant's book and hits an incredibly weak headbutt on Hogan. Punch by Luger, missing Hogan COMPLETELY. I'm just glad thatHogan didn't sell it. Scott Steiner hits a right hand on Hulk Hogan and follows it up with a couple more. Goldberg receives some punishment by Scott Steiner but with that horrid offense, we're the only ones truly being punished. Poppa Pump \ Sting whip Goldberg into the ropes and hit a double backdrop. Buff Bagwell hits Goldberg. Goldberg gets splashed in the corner. Buff Bagwell throws Goldberg into the cage. Sting scoops up Goldberg. Buff bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. Powerslam from Sting on Goldberg. Sting throws Goldberg into the cage. Running clothesline from Scott Norton was actually MIGHTY sloppy. Scott Norton hits an ugly looking bulldog off the ropes. Side suplex from Luger. Could have been done a hell of a lot better though. Lex Luger launches Goldberg into the cage wall. Goldberg is able to duck a clothesline attempt and connect with a counter clothesline. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Rey crushes Luger with a running senton. Rey Mysterio Jr. launches Luger into the cage wall. Rey \ Dustin whip Luger into the corner. Rey Mysterio Jr. whips Dustin Rhodes in for a hard clothesline to follow-up. Dustin Rhodes throws Poppa Pump into the cage. Death valley driver (not to be confused with the DVD 500) by Dustin Rhodes connects and Scott Steiner is down! Dustin Rhodes drives Poppa Pump into the cage side. Scott Steiner once again takes the advantage after blocking a few punches and connecting with some forearms. Weak bodyslam on Dustin by Poppa Pump sets up a legdrop. Big clothesline from Norton. Scott Norton gets taken down out of nowhere! Running knee lift from Booker T. Big piledriver on Norton. Death valley driver by Booker T! No one executes that move properly anymore. Booker \ Rey whip Norton into the ropes and hit a double backdrop. Tiger suplex on Norton. No Misawa references from me, I swear. Oh, Bloody Hell! Rey Mysterio Jr. spins Norton around. Rey Mysterio Jr. hits the West Coast Hop! Rey Mysterio Jr. pulls Norton up again, and hits another one! Scott Norton groggily stands up, having to use the ropes for leverage....and there's a third West Coast Hop! It looks like Scott Norton has been knocked out cold, and the referee is stopping the match as a result!

ECW Hardcore TV (9/16/2003)

The show opens with Paul Heyman in his office backstage. "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Paul Heyman. And two nights ago, Extreme Championship Wrestling proved that we are still the true innovators of pay-per-view with our Anarchy Rulz event. In six weeks, on October 26 we will return to pay-per-view with a show called Ultimate Jeopardy. On that show, the brand-new ECW World Heavyweight Champion, the Japanese buzzsaw Yoshihiro Tajiri will defend his title against the man who defeated Masato Tanaka two nights ago, Mister Pay-Per-View, Rob Van Dam! Thank you, and enjoy the show."

Steve Prazak and Joel Gertner welcome us to the show from inside the arena. They talk about tonight's huge Sabu/Tajiri main event as Erik Watts is making his entrance. Joe E. Legend is already in the ring waiting for him when suddenly, he's laid out by a steel chair by Ken Shamrock! Shamrock then blasts Watts with the chair as well! The former World Champion is on a rampage. He pummels both downed competitors, then clamps Legend in an ankle lock. Shamrock has, dare I say it, snapped and become a bad-ass submission machine!

"All-American Boys" hits as the referees clear the ring and Danny Davis the other ECW agents somehow get Shamrock over the barricade. The unlikely tandem of Little Guido and Nathan Jones are the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers' opponents tonight, but their lack of chemistry is overpowered by decades of partnership and the Quebec Press, and the Rougeaus pick up the victory.

Back from break ECW Television Champion Gedo is set to defend his championship against Jerry Lynn, who tore the house down against Low Ki at Anarchy Rulz. Lynn spends a good chunk of the match selling the beatdown from Ki, but he does eventually catch Gedo in a mistake and hits a cradle piledriver for the win! After the match, Lynn celebrates with the championship.

Christopher Daniels cuts a promo and is an unhappy bastard. He picked up a clean victory over Sabu two nights ago, but he's still looking around at a company that celebrates anarchy and wondering how it still functions. This place needs order, and the Fallen Angel is the one to bring it. Cue Metallica. "Enter Sandman" hits and the crowd goes ballistic. Daniels continues to deride the Extreme side of ECW while its poster child smashes a beer can against his forehead. It looks like we've got an impromptu match on our hands!

Sandman takes a swing at Daniels with his Singapore cane, but Daniels dodges to the floor to avoid it. Finally, Daniels disarms Sandman and begins working him over with actual wrestling maneuvers. Sandman does some brawling and manages one of his corner sentons, but eventually Daniels' superior speed and skill is too much, and he picks up the win with Angel's Wings.

Two nights ago, La Resistance won a threeway dance to become #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles. Tonight, they cash in that title opportunity against Danny Doring and Roadkill! We've already had one title change tonight (and two in the last 48 hours), will we see a third tonight? It's a good match that sees a bunch of near-falls both ways. Doring heads to the top rope for his Danaconda legdrop, but he's shoved off by Cyrus The Virus! Rene Dupree takes advantage and covers Doring for the win. After the match, Cyrus helps Dupree and Grenier issue a bit of a beating to the former champs.

Cyrus grabs a microphone. He introduces Dupree and Grenier as his clients. He then motions to the back, and they're joined by Sonny Siaki, Little Guido, and Nathan Jones. Cyrus says that the six of them are The Infection. The Tag Team Titles were just the first step. Soon, this team will have infected all of Extreme Championship Wrestling!

Siaki remains in the ring after a commercial break. 2 Cold Scorpio makes his entrance, only to be blindsided by Ken Shamrock! Shamrock hits a massive belly-to-belly suplex on the stage, then sprints to the ring. He tackles Siaki, then begins raining elbows down on his face. ECW officials once again somehow manage to run him off, but the damage is done.

Backstage, Bill Alfonso is hyping up Rob Van Dam and Sabu. They hype Van Dam's title match with Tajiri in six weeks, but they also talk about Sabu's main event tonight against Tajiri. The roles are reversed from years ago when it was Van Dam softening up Bam Bam Bigelow for Sabu's TV Title match, and the irony or whatever it is (they're not real clear on what irony actually is) is not lost on them.

Our main event is everything you'd expect from Sabu and Yoshihiro Tajiri. Lots of super-stiff kicks and strikes, plus some high spots that don't QUITE work out like Sabu had planned. Lots of chairs, some tables, and one big Kick Of Death that ends the match. Tajiri stands over Sabu with the title as we go off the air.

Dan Wilson and Tazz welcome us to SmackDown as The Rock makes his way down the aisle to a massive pop. They hype up that he's approximately 2.3% of the way to his showdown with Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Grand Master Sexay is waiting for him in the ring. The bell sounds. Sexay tries to get Rock to dance at the beginning of the match. He hands Rock his sunglasses. Rock raises an eyebrow. The crowd pops. Sexay tries to match the eyebrow. Not the same. When they finally tie up, Rock puts him away pretty easily. They shake hands after. Yay friends!

Backstage, John Cena cuts a promo. It rhymes, which I'm no good at, so let's just say it's pretty awesome, and he blames Shawn Michaels for keeping him from his destiny of being World Champion.

Monday night on Raw, Hardcore Holly cost Bubba Ray Dudley the Intercontinental Title. Tonight, he teams with the new champion, his Dirty Dozen brother X-Pac against the Dudley Boyz! Super stiff match between the four high-end midcarders. The fun is ruined when Kane appears on the ramp, resulting in a distraction, which lets Big Show sneak into the ring and lay out the Dudleyz. This allows Holly to pin D-Von. After the match, the beatdown is on until Bradshaw and Faarooq run them off. The Dudleyville Protection Agency... sort of lives up to its name.

After commercial, Perry Saturn is in the ring with his manager Paul Bearer, who speaks briefly about how he, too, once blindly followed the Undertaker. He offers a cautionary tale about obedience. Saturn nods and says "Yes, Paul" a lot. Very... obediently.

Turns out the reason Paul's talking about Undertaker is that one of his charges, K-Kwik is Saturn's opponent. What are the odds? Decent match that Saturn wins with the Moss-Covered 3-Handled Family Credenza.

Undertaker rides out at the conclusion of the match, staring down Bearer as he rides. He enters the ring, and it looks like he might lay out Kwik for losing, but he instead helps him to his feet and has the New Age Outlaws assist him to the back. Scotty 2 Hotty dances out. Oh, God. Scotty's gonna die. Bell rings, goozle, chokeslam, pin one two... Taker pulls Scotty's shoulder up. Tombstone one two... Taker gets up. He finally winds up hitting a Last Ride before finally allowing the referee to count to three. Taker stomps on Scotty a couple more times before riding off.

Suddenly, Scotty isn't alone in the ring anymore as Raven lays him out with a Raven Effect! Raven, who looked like he was losing it a bit last week, screams at Scotty "WHAT ABOUT ME?!? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?!?" He issues a challenge for Unforgiven. Scotty is unconscious, so he's not saying anything, but I think it's probably safe to say he'll agree to it when he wakes up.

The Women's Title is on the line next as Molly Holly defends against the co-#1 contenders Ivory and Lita. You'll remember Ivory and Lita won a triple threat tag match on Monday to earn this shot. It's a solidly-wrestled encounter between two women who know what they're doing, and one that can occasionally flip over without injuring herself or the people around her. Lita lays out Ivory with a Twist of Fate, only to be thrown from the ring by Molly, who pins Ivory to retain her title.

Shawn Michaels is backstage. "John Cena thinks I'm standing between him and his destiny. He thinks that he's the future of this company, the next Brock Lesnar, the next Rock, the next Austin. The next Shawn Michaels. Well, kid, I've got news for you. The next Shawn Michaels is the same guy as the last Shawn Michaels. There's only one Heartbreak Kid, and he's not going anywhere. Did I cost Cena a title shot? Maybe. But if Cena wants to say that it's my fault he's not on my level, I'll be more than happy to tune up the band for him one more time.

Our main event pits #1 contender Kurt Angle and his Team BRECK-J stablemate Chris Benoit against the running buddies of the World Champion, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, the WWF Tag Team Champions. It's God's Team against the World's Greatest Tag Team! The match certainly lives up to its potential, as arguably the four greatest athletes on the roster pull out all the stops. As the match degenerates into chaos, Brock Lesnar enters the ring and lays Angle out with an F-5, allowing Shelton Benjamin to pick up the victory. Lesnar continues the assault after the bell.

He has Haas fetch him his title belt, which he uses to lay out a bloodied Angle. SmackDown goes off the air with the champion posing over the challenger with the title. Will the result be the same at Unforgiven?

WWF Monday Night Raw 9/8/2003

The ring is littered with weapons as Raw comes up. Raven makes his way to the ring, sermonizing about how it's about time the WWF realizes the same thing everyone else realized years ago: Raven = Ratings. He poses in the corner while he waits for the arrival of his opponent, the Manbeast Rhyno! The two former ECW stars put on a brutal battle using all the tools around them. Raven puts a chair in the corner, then dodges a Gore. As Rhyno staggers out of the corner, he's planted with the Raven Effect. Raven is looking strong less than two weeks before Unforgiven!

Our next contest is an eight-man tag team match that has been brewing all week. The Dudley Boyz and the APA, the Dudleyville Protection Agency, team up to take on four members of The Dirty Dozen - Big Show, Hardcore Holly, Kane, and the man who unseated Bubba Ray Dudley to become the new Intercontinental Champion X-Pac. More stiff action (hee hee) before Kane plants Faarooq with a chokeslam to pick up the victory.

They're soon joined by the remaining members of the Dozen (The New Age Outlaws, K-Kwik, Maven, Val Venis, Al Snow, Chyna, and their leader the Undertaker). Taker takes the mic and calls out Paul Bearer. He says that what Bearer said on SmackDown is partially true. But what's happening here isn't just blind obedience. This is brotherhood. Paul, I once trusted you like a brother, and the fact that you're with that mop-loving idiot hurts. But bring him out here now, let him take his beating like a man, and maybe. Just maybe. Maybe I'll let you both walk out of here under your own power.

Bearer obliges, bringing Perry Saturn with him. Saturn steps into the ring, and the rest of the Dozen surround him. Taker waves them off. Saturn gets in a bit of offense, but he's overmatched. Undertaker makes Saturn take the Last Ride for the victory.

Backstage, the six members of Team BRECK-J are ready for action. Rhyno (R) is still smarting from his battle with Raven, but Chris Benoit (B) and Chris Jericho (J) are both preparing for singles matches. Meanwhile, Edge (E), Christian (C), and the #1 contender Kurt Angle (K) are in tonight's main event against the three members of the Wrecking Crew. Good promo work from all six guys, but MAN that's a weird combination.

The first of those singles matches is next as Chris Benoit takes on Eddie Guerrero. The two former friends have a very good technical match that is unfortunately marred by the interference of Eddie's Unforgiven opponent Triple H. H distracts Eddie allowing Benoit to capitalize with a Crippler Crossface, leaving Eddie no chance but to tap out.

Triple H remains in the ring as he's up next against Chris Jericho. More gpod work (though EWR says they don't quite "click"), but they are interrupted by (SURPRISE!) Eddie Guerrero, who allows Jericho to hit a Lionsault for the pinfall victory.

After break, the ring has been changed out to the set for Stevie Night Heat. Stevie Richards' guests are John Cena and Shawn Michaels, two men who appear to be on a collision course. Sure enough, the set is trashed, Stevie's knocked to the floor, and Cena and HBK tear each other apart.

Match #3 on the Road To Redemption is next! The Rock takes on the Embodiment Of Eeeeeeeeevil TAKA Michinoku. As with his previous matches, Rock makes short work of TAKA. The People's Champion is motivated. Is it possible for him to lose a match between now and the Rumble?

The Wrecking Crew makes its way to the ring, toting the World and Tag Team Titles. They hype up Brock Lesnar's title defense against Kurt Angle at Unforgiven and tonight's six-man main event. Passable mic work from the championship trio.

And now it's time for the main event. Six of the best wrestlers in the world go at it in a thrilling match. Lesnar and Angle brawl on the floor, Christian hits an Unprettier on Charlie Haas, but eats a Dragon Whip from Shelton Benjamin, only for Shelton to eat a spear from Edge. The ECK part of Team BRECK-J pick up the win, and Edge & Christian look like solid contenders for the Tag Team Titles! Benoit, Jericho, and Rhyno come out to celebrate with their partners as Raw goes off the air.

WWF SmackDown! 9/11/2003

After a moving tribute to the lives lost two years ago in New York, DC, and Pennsylvania, SmackDown opens with John Cena heading to the ring. He talks some more trash about Shawn Michaels. He mostly talks about the fact that people like Shawn Michaels are the reason that people like him aren't in the main event. Michaels cost him a World Title shot at Unforgiven, true, but he and his fellow veterans are the ones making it difficult for people like Cena, the real New Generation, to take over. That's all gonna change when--

"Yooooooooooou looooook soooooo good to me!" Rico Constantino comes out to face Cena in our opener. The Doctor of Thuganomics is less than pleased at the interruption and quickly puts him away with an FU.

Shawn Michaels appears on the ramp and talks some smack as Cena walks past him to the back. Michaels has a match next, but Cena's right. He's the reason that Cena isn't on top. Because as long as there's a Shawn Michaels around, there's only room for one Main Event, and you're lookin' at him.

Michaels' opponent is his former protege, Paul London. They put on a solid match, but London makes the mistake of attempting his London Calling shooting star press before making sure Michaels was truly out. HBK rolls out of the way and blasts him with Sweet Chin Music for the win. After the match, London goes to shake his mentor's hand, but Michaels walks away. Does HBK's disdain for the future of this business know no bounds?

Edge & Christian are backstage, doing typical E&C stuff. So, you know, hilarity. They issue a challenge to the World's Greatest Tag Team. When they take the Tag Team Titles at Unforgiven, the championships will once again reek of awesomeness!

Eddie Guerrero and Triple H are headed for a collision at Unforgiven, but they're going to have to put their troubles aside for one night as they take on Too Cool. The heels are working pretty well together. Triple H prepares to hit Scotty 2 Hotty with the Pedigree when Eddie blind-tags himself into the match HARD. He goes for the cover, only to be pulled off and Pedigreed himself. The Game walks away, leaving Latino Heat to be covered by Scotty for the win. After the match, Raven again appears from seemingly nowhere to take Scotty out.

Raven grabs a microphone and tells Scotty that he's going to go through everyone Scotty cares about going up to Unforgiven, where he'll finally put this dancing charade to rest. What's happening here, and he gestures to 2 Cool, is not wrestling. This is a sideshow that has to end, and he's just the man to do it.

The Rock is out next for the next stop on his Road To Redemption as he faces off against Dirty Dozen member Maven. The plucky babyface-turned-slightly-awkward-while-trying-to-pull-off-"bad-ass"-biker falls victim to The Most Entertaining Move In Sports Entertainment and The Rock picks up yet another victory. After the match, though, Maven's leader Undertaker hits the ring and takes Rock out with The Last Ride.

He grabs a microphone and tells him that while The Rock may be on a Road To Redemption, but that road runs right through his damn yard. And in case Rock hadn't noticed, this yard is protected. At Unforgiven, the Road To Redemption becomes the Highway To Hell!

Our main event tonight is a six-man tag match pitting three members of Team BRECK-J: Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, and Rhyno against three members of the Dirty Dozen: the New Age Outlaws, and the Intercontinental Champion X-Pac. As is to be expected of a WWF six-man tag match, it degenerates down the stretch as Jericho hits a Lionsault on Road Dogg, only to take a Fameasser from Billy Gunn, whose pinfall is broken up by a Benoit diving headbutt, only to take an X-Factor from X-Pac, who eats a Gore GORE GOOOOOOOOOOOORE from the Manbest, who covers the IC Champion for the victory.

Back from our last commercial, and the table is set for the contract signing for the Unforgiven main event. Kurt Angle is the first to the ring. He takes his seat and signs. The World Champion Brock Lesnar is out next. The contract ceremony goes off without a hitch. Heh, just kidding. They argue, then they brawl, then Lesnar puts Angle through the table with an F-5. The champ stands tall as SmackDown goes off the air.

GFW Global Uprising (May 3rd, 2015)

Dark Match:
Ken Doane enters the ring to face White Tiger and makes the referee wait to ring the bell while he prepares for the match by doing a set of pushups, jumping jacks and situps. Once he's ready to start, White Tiger mocks him by stopping the ref from ringing the bell so he can prepare with some comical karate poses before the match finally starts. Ken Doane defeated White Tiger in 5:15 by pinfall with a Sky High Leg Drop. (Rating: E+)

PPV:
The show starts with a video highlighting the year plus build to the birth of Global Force Wrestling. It features Jeff Jarrett and all of the new stars of Global Force.

We get live shots of the crowd at the Hammerstein Ballroom while Jim Ross and Matt Striker welcome us and the live crowd to Global Uprising and they are pumped and ready for action. They don't have to wait long as music starts and the beautiful Jayme Jameson is in the ring ready to announce the first match and out come Torrin and Bruce Hart Jr. followed by the Von Erich Legacy.

In a competetive but extremely poor match, The Von Erich Legacy defeated The Hartbreakers in 14:24 when Marshall Von Erich defeated Bruce Hart, Jr by pinfall with the Von Erich claw. After the match, both teams shake hands and pose for the crowd. (Rating: E)

We go backstage where Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Doc Gallows, Ken Anderson, Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale and Cody Hall cut a promo about their respective matches tonight. It ends with AJ saying that after tonight Bullet Club is going to quite literally run the world of wrestling.

Back in the arena, party music starts and out from the crowd and dancing the entire way to the ring comes the south beach party boy, Nick McNeil. He gets on the mic and pumps up the crowd for a bit before he's interrupted by flickering lights and gothic sounding music as we look down the aisle and see the unannounced Shannon Moore making his way to the ring for the next match!

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Nick McNeil defeated Shannon Moore in 6:37 by pinfall with a South Beach Splash. (Rating: E)

McNeil leaves through the crowd, getting some "Oh yeahs!" thrown back at him. Moore starts to stir in the ring when suddenly the lights go out. There's silence for a few seconds and then we hear a voice whisper "The carnival is coming to town." When the lights come back on, Shannon Moore is propped up sitting against the turnbuckle unconscious with a clown nose on his face.

An uneasy and confused Matt Striker and Jim Ross send us to a hype video for the upcoming IWGP World Heavyweight Title matchup. It's the rubber match between AJ Styles and Tetsuya Naito.

In a competitive bout that had a good crowd and good action, AJ Styles defeated Tetsuya Naito in 15:47 by pinfall with a Styles Clash to retain his IWGP World Heavyweight Title. The match lifted the crowd. (Rating: C-)

Bullet Club comes out to celebrate with AJ Styles and streamers flow over him while he poses with the title. After the celebration, Jim Ross and Matt Striker are preparing to send us to the next segment when Dakota Darsow walks us behind them in the crowd with a camera around his neck taking their pictures and calling obnoxiously for them to look at him. Jim Ross asks what he's doing and he replies "I'm a paparazzi!" They look at him confused before he continues. "It's a gimmick. That's what I was missing, right? That's what dad always told me! That's why I was left off of the first show. Well, look! The dancing monkey is performing! Book me!" He continues rambling until security backs him away from the camera and commentators and we move to the next match.

The commentators explain that the winner of the upcoming 4 corners high-flyer showcase will be the first man to receive a spot in the upcoming tournament to crown the first Global Force Champion.

"Right Leg" Andy Ridge enters first followed by Charles Mercury, German indy star Pierre Le Prestee and Archadia wearing a mask that makes him look like a comic book hero. Andy Ridge is the first man eliminated when he's pinned by Le Prestee. Prestee then turns around into a superkick by Mercury for the next elimination. Finally, Mercury gets caught with a hurricanrana mid-powerbomb to get pinned by Archadia in 17:55. (Rating: E-)

Los Luchas and The SAT are backstage talking when Jaden Jeter comes up to them. He firmly tells the four of them that when they represent GFW against Bullet Club tonight, it's the beginning of his journey to redemption and he will not let any of them screw it up for him.

The first lady of GFW Audrey Miller is backstage and talks about the beginning of her journey when she faces one of the greatest female wrestlers in the world in Hamada. This is followed by a video hyping Hamada.

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Audrey Miller defeated Ayako Hamada in 10:56 by pinfall after hurting her leg halfway through the match and then suddenly rolling up Hamada as she went to pick her up. After the match, Hamada gives a little laugh before walking over to Audrey, hugging her and walking out. (Rating: E+)

Alberto El Patron is backstage talking about Jeff Jarrett doing the right thing for and not disrespecting AAA and the business by trying to use Bullet Club to help him win. He then warned Bullet Club that if they do try to get involved, they better be ready for a fight, too.

A video airs hyping Bullet Club and the chaos they've caused in their time in New Japan.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga, Cody Hall, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson of Bullet Club defeated Jaden Jeter, Los Luchas and The SAT in 17:11 when Doc Gallows defeated Joel Maximo by pinfall after Jaden Jeter DDTed Maximo and then walked out on his team after they failed to tag him in late in the match. (Rating: E+)

Bullet Club celebrates another win for a bit before leaving the ring. Suddenly Jaden Jeter comes back in and attacks a tired Los Luchas and SAT with a chair, hitting them all repeatedly as he yells "I told you not to ruin this for me!"

Jeter leaves and officials come from the back to help Los Luchas and The SAT out of the ring. As that's happening, music starts to play and out comes JD Maverick who ignores both teams walking by him, seemingly fixated on himself instead. He gets on the mic and announces that he is searching for a valet and he's opening the eligibility to any woman in the crowd who thinks she can match his physical perfection. He looks around and picks out a beautiful woman from the crowd. He has her come in the ring, walks around her, looking her up and down and examining her, clearly liking what he sees. He has her take her pants down to examine more and suddenly he gets a horrified look on his face and points to a spot on her hip where a small, almost completely unnoticeable white spot is. "... Is that... a scar?" "I fell of my bicycle when I was 9." she says. He acts like he's going to vomit at the barely visible blemish before angrily yelling at her to get out of the ring, telling her he won't accept anything less than perfection. She runs out of the ring crying and out comes Xavier for the next match.

In an extremely poor match, JD Maverick defeated Xavier in 13:20 after the girl who was rejected by Michaels rushed the ring to trip Xavier as he came off the ropes which distracted the referee and allowed Maverick to hit a low blow and a rollup. The woman is dragged away by security as she screams for Maverick's attention. (Rating: E)

A video is shown hyping the upcoming AAA World Heavyweight Title match between Jeff Jarrett and Alberto El Patron.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Alberto El Patrón defeated Jeff Jarrett in 16:47 by submission with a Rolling Cross Armbreaker to retain the AAA World Heavyweight Championship. Bullet Club tried to interfere in the match but before they could do anything, the majority of the GFW roster including Nick McNeil, White Tiger, Archadia, Pierre Le Prestee, Andy Ridge, the Von Erichs, the Harts and Xavier came out to stand in their way. Jarrett pleaded with them from the ring to mind their own business but they stood blocking Bullet Club from getting to the ring as El Patron was able to get the victory. The show ends with El Patron celebrating and Jarrett looking at the roster of his company staring down his Bullet Club stable mates as he nurses his right arm. (Rating: D+)

Not the best show but I'm in the process of introducing new characters to build up while using the star power from the other companies to keep things afloat so that I'm not main eventing PPVs with unknowns. It's an awkward transition phase right now. Also haven't been able to get a TV deal which is gonna make things much tougher.

WWF Raw 9/15/2003

WWF World Champion Brock Lesnar and the Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin are in the ring to start the show. In 13 days, their titles will all be on the line. They focus mostly on Lesnar's defense against Kurt Angle, and none of them are really strong promos, so there's not much to report here.

At Unforgiven, Raven will face Scotty 2 Hotty. On SmackDown last week, he said he'd tear through all of Scotty's friends one by one. Tonight, he starts with the dancin' fatty Rikishi. And he wins. Yay plot development! After the match, Raven adds an extra Raven Effect DDT, just 'cause.

Eddie Guerrero is backstage. He tells some backstory stuff about how he and Triple H were Tag Team Champions earlier this year because they were both willing to lie, cheat, and steal their way to getting what they want. Shockingly, the partnership didn't work out, and now in less than two weeks, Eddie will get what he's wanted since King of the Ring, the chance to finally unplug The Game once and for all.

Two young stars on the rise are out next as Randy Orton takes on the high-flying Jeff Hardy. It's an exciting match that goes back and forth several times. Orton goes for his trademark backbreaker, but Hardy rolls through it and stacks Orton on top of himself for the surprise victory! Orton loses his mind and attacks Jeff after the bell, throwing him to the apron, then planting him with a DDT off the second rope. What an innovative maneuver that's not at all contrived!

Backstage, Edge & Christian have a rebuttal for the World's Greatest Tag Team. They reek. Not like E&C, who reek only of awesomeness. High five for wordplay!

E&C's Team BRECK-J stablemates Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho team up next to take on The Dirty Dozen's Big Show and Kane. The monsters dominate early, but eventually Benoit hits a diving headbutt on Show as he tries to cover Jericho, not realizing he's the illegal man. Benoit covers Show for the victory. But they're not done as all four men brawl after the match until they're separated by officials. CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME DECORUM?!?

John Cena, the Doctor of Thuganomics, cuts a dope freestyle promo on Shawn Michaels, HBShizzle, the Heartbreak Shid apparently. He finally says what we've all pretty much expected all month - they're fighting at Unforgiven.

X-Pac has narrowly escaped some matches lately with his Intercontinental Championship intact. Tonight, he defends against the manbeast Rhyno. Rhyno is kicking the everloving crap out of Pac until a ref bump allows Hardcore Holly to take Rhyno out, allowing X-Pac to get the cheap win. After the match, Rhyno GOOOOOOOOOORES the shit out of both of them to get his heat back.

The Dirty Dozen floods the ring and Rhyno wisely exits. Undertaker grabs the mic and talks some trash about his Unforgiven match against The Rock. More Road To Redemption runs through my yard stuff. Hey, it's 2003 Undertaker, what do you expect?

Oh, hey, speaking of The Rock, he's in action in our main event against Paul London. London had the match of his career against his mentor Shawn Michaels four days ago on SmackDown. It's not quite on that level, but they still have a very good match. Rock wins clean, then shakes the youngster's hand as a show of respect. Rock remains undefeated on the Road To Redemption!

He grabs the microphone and rebuts Undertaker's promo. He runs down the Dozen one by one in hilarious Rock fashion, including numerous digs at just how random that whole stable is. Seriously, what's the point? Aaaaaaaaand that's how the show ends. Good night, everybody!

WWF SmackDown! 9/18/2003

Ten days from Unforgiven, we've got a wrestling-heavy night of action. We kick off with Raven's continuing quest to destroy everything Scotty 2 Hotty cares about as he takes on the near-seven-foot Canadian "Horse-Faced Gremlin" T-Money. Money controls most of the early going with power moves, but Raven is just too smart for him and plants him with the Raven Effect for the win. After the match, Scotty comes out and they brawl a bit.

Monday night on Raw, Hardcore Holly cost the Manbeast Rhyno his opportunity at the Intercontinental Title. Rhyno looks for revenge tonight and gets it, Goring Holly for a click, clean win. Holly looks pissed that he had to put over the monster and gets in a little offense after the bell to (try to) reclaim some heat.

Kurt Angle is backstage. He talks about The Rock and the Road To Redemption. He talks about John Cena and Shawn Michaels. He talks about everything that everyone is talking about. And he talks about one thing nobody is: himself. He's the one with the title shot at Unforgiven. He's the one with the intensity to break Brock Lesnar's freakin' ankles. He's the one with the intelligence to beat the World's Greatest Tag Team tonight. And he's the one with the integrity to carry Olympic gold. Wooo! Oh, it's true. It's damn true.

Back in the ring, Rhyno's Team BRECK-J stablemate Chris Benoit is in action against Dirty Dozen member Kane. Benoit puts up a valiant effort, including German suplexing the everloving crap out of the Big Red Machine. Eventually, Kane chokeslams Benoit and puts a foot on the ropes for leverage and the cheap win.

The Rock's Road To Redemption continues next as he takes on one-half of the most exciting tag team in the WWF. Jeff Hardy comes to the ring pumped up after his upset victory over Randy Orton on Raw. His win streak ends at one, though, after he takes a Rock Bottom. After the match, Rock shakes hands with Hardy, showing him respect after a great performance.

Not showing respect to Hardy, though, is Randy Orton. After Rock leaves the ring, Orton enters it with a chair and destroys Hardy. He pummels him with it before finally trapping Hardy's ankle in the chair and coming down on it with a stomp, shades of the "Pillmanizing" angle from seven years earlier. Hardy howls in pain and Orton grins demonically. EMTs, Jeff's brother Matt, Lita, and several others come out from the back to check on Jeff as he's carted off.

Our third BRECK-J/Dirty Dozen match of the evening pits Chris Jericho against the Big Show. Not a strong match at all as Show just can't keep up with Jericho. Y2J wins with a Lionsault.

Two guys who can keep pace with each other are up next as John Cena takes on Eddie Guerrero. These two, widely considered to be the future of the WWF, put on a clinic. Both men have big matches coming up at Unforgiven against Shawn Michaels and Triple H (more on them later), but they give this match their all, putting on the match of the night. Cena wins clean with the F-U.

Undertaker is backstage. He talks some more smack about The Rock. This is such a good way to keep him on TV without making him wrestle. 2003 Undertaker was rough.

Our penultimate match of the evening pits the aforementioned Shawn Michaels and Triple H, former partners in DeGeneration X against the #1 contenders for the World Tag Team Championship, Edge & Christian. Another really good match ends with HBK and HHH getting into it a bit allowing Edge to hit the Edgecutioner on Michaels for the victory. After the match, Michaels and Helmsley continue to argue.

The main event tonight is the match that Kurt Angle alluded to in his promo earlier, a handicap match against Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, the World's Greatest Tag Team. It's another strong technical match (better than the tag match, but not quite on the level of Cena/Eddie), but it's marred when the World Champion Brock Lesnar hits the ring. While Benjamin has the referee distracted, Lesnar attempts to clothesline the fuck out of Angle, who dodges, and Lesnar turns Haas inside out. Angle knocks Benjamin off the apron and covers Haas for the victory. He celebrates by taunting an enraged Lesnar as Raw goes off the air.

WWF Raw 9/22/2003

It's the last Raw before Unforgiven, and it's the first Raw without competition from Nitro in eight years. The announcers talk about the two six-man tag matches coming up as well as a collision between two former best friends. The WWF kicks the show off right with the introduction of the People's Champ and his seventh stop on the Road To Redemption. He's a perfect 6-0 so far, can he maintain his momentum against Bradshaw? Ha. Of course he can. This guy's never going to be a singles star.

Raven is six days away from his match with Scotty 2 Hotty. On SmackDown, Raven beat the towering Canadian T-Money and tonight, he faces T-Money's T&A tag team partner, A-Train. Similar result as last time with Raven hitting the Raven Effect for the clean victory. He puts the boots to Train after the match to demonstrate his dominance.

Trish Stratus and Lita are shown backstage. They don't really do much, but does it matter?

On Thursday, Team BRECK-J's Chris Benoit was defeated cheaply by the Dirty Dozen's Kane. Tonight, he looks for revenge against Kane's stablemate Hardcore Holly (who, himself, lost to Benoit's stablemate Rhyno). Benoit gets his revenge. Holly attacks him after the bell, they brawl to the back. T his is definitely not over.

The aforementioned Kane hopes to keep his momentum alive as he faces off against the man who defeated his stablemate Big Show on Thursday, Chris Jericho. Kane doesn't need to cheat tonight as he plants Jericho with a chokeslam for the victory.

Eddie Guerrero is backstage. He talks about his match this Sunday against Triple H. Hopefully the match gets over, since EWR really doesn't like heel/heel matches. Maybe it's time to turn one of them.

Completing our weird BRECK-J/Dirty Dozen round robin for the evening is Rhyno vs. Big Show. Rhyno continues to look like a monster as he Gores Big Show in half (not literally, that would be gross) for the victory.

We've already seen B, R, and J in action tonight. The "ECK" in BRECK-J are out next for a big six-man tag team match as the #1 contender for the World Title teams with the #1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles. It's Kurt Angle, Edge, and Christian against Dirty Dozen members Undertaker, Road Dogg, and K-Kwik. The match is, as expected, kind of a clusterfuck. Eventually, The Rock takes advantage of a distraction to plant Undertaker with a Rock Bottom, allowing Angle to pick up the victory.

Matt Hardy is backstage, seething after what happened to his brother on SmackDown. He says that he will never forgive Randy Orton for what he did, so it's all that much more appropriate that they meet one-on-one at Unforgiven.

Last week, Shawn Michaels and Triple H, the founding fathers of DX lost to Edge & Christian. They each blame the other for the loss and now, one more time, they butt heads in the ring. It's a good technical match that eventually degenerates (ah? Ah? See what I did there?) into a brawl. The referee has no choice but to disqualify them both.

Our main event of the evening pits the Wrecking Crew (World Champion Brock Lesnar and the Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) against the unlikely trio of John Cena and 2 Cool. Cena in particular looks really strong, but eventually Grand Master Sexay takes an F-5 and the champions stand tall as Raw goes off the air.

The Rock having to face everybody on the roster is a pretty great storyline, should build a lot of early anticipation for the Rumble.

I'm laughing really hard trying to imagine the members of the Dirty Dozen all in biker gear. Just a really eclectic group. Would love to see where they go from here.

Yeah I wish I was talented with Photoshop. I'd love to have a picture of the Dozen.

Also, I'm hoping the Road To Redemption will help some midcard guys get a rub by going up against Rock.
