Should Tampa get another shot at hosting WrestleMania?
Should get Tampa get another shot at hosting WrestleMania? Or should WWE just move on?
What do you think? If they do get the chance to host say WM38, I'd maybe go with a shipwreck theme since they did pirates this year -- that way they could still incorporate the pirate ship at Raymond James Stadium. |

Yes considering the circumstances regarding this year's Mania were beyond anyone's control nor was it the city's fault Mania got moved to the Performance Center.
Vince and WWE would reach a new level of pettiness if Tampa were to get blacklisted over this. |

Jeff Jarrett could return w/ a beach-bum gimmick and challenge HHH for control of the WWE in the main-event of 38.

I can see WWE holding a senseless grudge and not going there again.

One way or another they will.
It's in Florida. Warm weather. Good for Vince's arthritis. |

I'm gonna say no, not because of anything they did, but because it would just be a shitty reminder. Plus they can just go to Orlando or Miami if they want Florida. Those are far bigger attraction sites anyways.

No but not because of this coronavirus stuff. It's too likely to rain in Florida to do open air stadium shows imo. If WM had gone on as planned this year in Tampa there would have been rain during the show.

Dave Meltzer reported that Vince asked Tampa to set up a circus tent in the stadium so he could still say the show was at Raymond James Stadium and they said NO because of how many people would be needed to set-up the tent and run production. Meltzer said it 'left a bad taste' in Vince's mouth because when people say NO it shows him 'they don't really want it'.

They didn't want it before the pandemic, either. Blew a very good chance for pirate shit and other than the graphics, there was zero pirates going on

It's just a place. It's basically the same fans each year. It doesn't matter where WrestleMania is, really.
WWE could have postponed the show or honored tickets for a new one. They might just prefer to take the hit and offer refunds. |
