Meltzer Match Ratings
There is no fucking way in batshit hell you will ever convince me that Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay this year's NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17 was 1.50 stars better than The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25.
These ratings are now fucking stupid and although at one time they held some merit, they are now irreparably tarnished by going beyond its own metric of 5 stars. |

All subjective, always has been. I didn't think Taker vs. HBK at WM 25 was very good. I have minimal emotional attachment to either and kinda didn't care tbh.
I havent seen Omega vs. Ospreay yet and probably wont but on a wow factor scale I imagine it was pretty good. |

They’re subjective, but Dave believes his own shit way too much these days. He weaponizes them as evidence in his Hall of Fame cases for people and the like. You can tell he wants people to see him as the Roger Ebert of wrestling criticism, but his opinion carries less and less weight as he has hitched himself to this PWG/AEW religion.
He’s ridiculous, and he’s actually done a disservice to things he rated highly in the past. |

Luchasaurus has the same amount of 5 star matches as Dynamite Kid.
