Yeah, if it's one of their performance center trainees, then it makes sense to have them do that stuff. But a veteran like KUSHIDA, or even Lio Rush?

It's just kind of silly to me.

I had to get initiated onto a rugby team that was mostly a giant bunch of pussies when I'd played longer or just at a higher level than the vast majority of them. It's because, despite my veteran status as a player, I was a rookie on the team. There's also a way to get through the situation where you don't seem like a punk. You just have to own it and act like a leader even though you're kissing the proverbial ring.

There's a reason why guys like Finn and Owens, who took that shit in stride, are (never minding some rough creative patches) highly featured acts and locker room stalwarts. Whereas, a guy like Rush, who has a lot of experience, is landing in hot water.

I doubt KUSHIDA minds doing any of that stuff. Anyone who came up in the New Japan Dojo knows that you have to earn your stripes anywhere you go.

Daft as these locker room "rules" may be, it's not like any harm is being done.

I mean shit, there was a video going around in 2006 of Cena helping to partake in hazing the Spirit Squad guys, which basically entailed them getting the shit chopped out of them by Umaga.
