Shawn Michaels is the easy first one.
But then it comes down to a variety of different people. Taker HHH Austin Rock Bret Hart Eddie Angle Orton But I think at the end of the day, for me it has to be Taker. Guy gave his life for the WWF/WWE and was involved in so many high profile matches/feuds. Austin was popular but his career was tragically cut short. Angle could have been an all time great but injuries and his pill addiction hurt that. HHH was great but I always felt like he was better in a stable. Bret was great but Montreal will always be a downfall in his career. Eddie passed too soon. Orton is good but I really feel like he is starting to come into his own right now. Loved the Legend Killer gimmick and I am glad that they are bringing that back, especially with him being more sinister than before. Rock had great wrestling skills and amazing charisma. Outside of the Ministry of Darkness, the Corporate Ministry, and teaming with Kane, Taker did all that shit on his own. Sure Bearer was his mouth piece but that was only done to enhance the character. |

Just read the dude got paralyzed from the neck down doing a sunset flip. But his retirement is listed as "last match to date," like the dude is regarded as being so tough that puroresu fans aren't sure he isn't going to get up and start beating the shit out of people again one day.
One of two men to have won the IWGP, Triple Crown and GHC Titles too. Good for him. |

Hulk Hogan
Bret Hart The characters that is. Definitely not the people who performed under those gimmicks. They’re both literal whores. |
