Speaking of the Stroke, I feel like the Miz, a wrestler with limited upper body strength and no athletic ability, has gone through a series of soft looking low impact finishers as well. I remember him having a really dumb neck breaker at some point.

I stand corrected. He had TWO dumb neck breakers at some point.

Lol I remember when the Miz debuted the Mizard of Oz on Smackdown. JBL and Cole were on commentary, and JBL just completely shit all over the Miz

Its such a pathetic looking move but oddly enough the risk of it killing you is ridiculously high if you take it wrong |

Remember from like 2007-till when NXT really became a thing when everyone either had a neck breaker as a finisher or an STO as a finish. I don't miss those days.
I remember it being a huge thing when Evan Bourne was allowed to use a Shooting Star Press as a finish |

Never knew why Kidman ever used that as a finisher, 9/10 he ended up at some weird angle when he done it, and we all know how that turned out with some opponents getting his knee buried into their head. Even in wcw he fucked it up quite a few times.

Kidamn always had the exact same angle on his press. Problem is guys would feed caddycorner and hes trajectory was a few degrees off from that. Guys who worked him often would feed their feet inward toward the post and hed land perfect evertime

Every veraion of that move is trash.
Also kidmans powerbomb counter into a DDT. Even guys who dont powerbomb would suddenly want to bomb the guy who always counters the move. Infuriating. Counters cannot be in your routine its absurd. |

I like stuff like that far too much.
I think more wrestlers should do theatrical nonsense finishers in the centre of the ring. It's the false finishes that enrage and exhaust me now. I can't handle it. |

Lots of people used off the ropes finishers to grounded opponents back in the day. Adrian Street used to do a very wet splash off the ropes from standing and I still like that shit.
Mr Fuji did a diving headbutt from standing. The more theatrical the better. Finishers should be something the crowd can get involved in, something you know can't be interrupted unless the opponent is top class. Well, logic aside we all know that only top tier opposition ever interrupts the theatrics of a standing finish off the ropes to a downed opponent. I can't remember anyone kicking out of the Worm. |

I love neckbreakers too, just not the silly ones. Rick Rude's Rude Awakening was so good that modern neckbreakers look too smooth. I blame Honky for this.
