Started to fade a bit during the middle of Naito/White but now on a second wind for this main.
Might try to nap for an hour or two as soon as this show ends though, if only so I don't crash and burn in the afternoon and mess myself up even more. |

Okada is probably one of the very few guys who can make a very slow paced match not feel boring considering how well he kicks things into the next gear after a while.
Also he's been very effective at letting the crowd cool down from a hot match prior but not enough that it hurts his own match. |

Ibushi's facial expression or lack thereof on those forearms was great.

Ibushi is going to be a good 1-2 inches shorter in height by the time this match ends.

If Naito's Destino is to win tomorrow, I'm glad Kota didn't get a one day title reign.

Did pass out but woke up right before the main event. Going back now to watch the rest. Won't let me put it onto the TV through my tablet.

I was so tired during the main event I can't really comment on it. I'm gonna watch it again. Really good show. Not the most blow away show but a really good one. Ospreay/Takahashi was a match of a lifetime.

Only now fully setting in that Ibushi's final desperation offense was the V-Trigger, two months after Kenny Omega lost to Moxley in AEW because he went for a Phoenix Splash. That's really, really good.

IWGP Tag Team Championship FinJuice/G.O.D - *** ... There is something that keeps me from fully investing in G.O.D matches, a certain greeness that doesn't seem like it's going to leave. FinJuice was awesome. Dave Finlay's biggest match yet. He's gonna be something here.
IWGP United States Championship Mox/Archer - *** ... Archer didn't work as well with Mox as he did some of the guys at G1. It was good but I'm not about to get too excited for bridged chair spots. I would've preferred a standard singles match to the Texas Death gimmick. IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship Ospreay/Takahashi - ***** (maybe 6 IDK, I loved it) ... I think this was my favorite Junior match I've ever seen. I didn't want it to end and to to my delight it almost didn't! BOTH THESE GUYS! This was the evolution of the division and the sport itself. IWGP Intercontinental Championship - **** ... Per usual a slow plodding start and too much Memphis style manager interference but, we should know that going in. It became obvious as the match went on that Naito's story was going to be a focal point of the show. And now after we have an enraged Jay Lethal walking into night 2 to face off with a Kota that went to levels of intensity and darkness we've never seen before. The last 10 minutes were amazing. IWGP Heavyweight Championship Okada/Ibushi - **** 1/2 ... As usual Okada had to follow a hell of a show, and he delivered as only he can. Other than Okada's new white boots my favorite part of the match was when Ibushi wen't dark and battered Okada nearly getting a dq at one point. Very happy with the result of Okada/Naito to finish this story. |

Watched this morning. Threw a DiGiorno pizza in the oven, when it was ready, fired up NJPW World, only to see Okada & Ibushi killing each other. And there's no way to start from the beginning, I think, so I waited until it was over, which was around 8ish so maybe a 20 minute wait from end of the show to upload. Not bad.
Fantastic show. Pretty much everything that happened I/we pretty much knew the outcome with maybe the exception of Okada/Ibushi. Happy that Okada won. Because now unless Gedo wants a riot on his hands, Naito is pretty much a lock to win the belts. Also, Naito also gets to "Slay the Dragon" and make the moment much better. Good chance for L.I.J. to clean up tomorrow. Naito's half way there, Hiromu gets the job done, SANADA got a chance to win the RevPro belt. Tonight is going to be tough to squeeze in. Hopefully I can get into work early tomorrow and blast through night 2. |

According to Stardom, their dark match at Night 1's show won't be getting uploaded to Stardom World and instead really was just an exclusive match for the live audience.
Meltzer mentioned in a recent Observer Newsletter that this was going to be unlikely anyways due to the rival tv networks for Stardom and NJPW.

Liger's final match opens the main card at 1 AM. I will definitely watch that. After that Ill go match by match to decide if I have to tap out and head to bed/watch the rest in the morning.
