Rivera strikes out the last three. Pretty big win for the Yankees with Tim Redding and his 0-5 record and over 9.00 ERA pitching tomorrow.

Miz is right about Byrnes and his poor jumps and shitty routes to fly balls. Once he looses half a step, he'll be a huge liability in the field... unless of course he learns to read the flight of the ball better off the bat.

lol great example of how Manny Ramirez sucks in the field, he tried to make a sliding catch but did it like 5ft away from the ball but Cano was dum and tried to have a triple and Manny just flipped it to third and got the assist

That's not exactly an outlandish prediction. The Red Sox won the world series last year and we don't know how the White Sox will do in the second half

1 more hit for Palmeiro, now needs just one more for 3,000. I think he's going to get it tonight.

9 seasons in a row where he hit 38 or more HRs and over 100+ rbis. 10 seasons of +35 HRs. He's never been on the DL.

There were some statistics in a recent Sports Illustrated that showed last years stat leaders at the half and their final stats, and it works against many of the White Sox. Garland, Podsednik, Iguchi, Hermanson. Then you have Konerko, who usually slows down in the second half, Frank Thomas who has like a 2:1 HR:Hit ratio, which is obviously not going to continue. Then you have Garcia, who is bound to let his head get the best of him soon. I don't doubt that the White Sox will make the playoffs. They will really have to fuck up to let the Twins catch them. Once the playoffs come though, they will be worn down from inexperience and their timely hitting, which is pretty much the reason they are where they are, will likely be off. Like the Nationals, once they start to lose the momentum and lose the one run games, it will be a downhill road. Finally, look at how they played against the Oakland A's in the past two series'. I think they went 1-5, and the A's are nowhere near as good as a team like the Red Sox will be come playoff time. The Red Sox have a veteran lineup with proven great players, and as of right now they are still the favorites to win the AL pennant in my opinion. Anything can of course happen, but I don't like the White Sox chances and I do like the Red Sox's. |

Regular season records can be very decieving. There was something like the White Sox have only lost 5 division games this year, but they play like four or five series' with the Twins still.

Wow, ridiculous. Trot Nixon just got an inside the park home run because Melky Cabrera misplayed a ball.
Was pretty much expecting the Yankees to get crushed today because of who was pitching, but wasn't expecting it to be 8-0 in the second. |

considering we only have 2 real starters right now (Johnson and Moose), Wang is on the DL, Brown is on the DL and suck, Wright sucks, Pavano sucks, Henn sucked, this new guy sucks
Somebody get Peddite and Clemens back |

I dunno, Leiter seems like a better option than Redding and Darrell May. I doubt its going to be a long term thing.
Even when the starters we have on the DL come back we aren't going to know what we are going to have. Pavano has been bad all year, Brown was decent for a stretch but still really inconsistent, Wang would be nice to have back because he's been consistent. But I've heard talk of him being out all year. And ever since I heard of the Jaret Wright signing, I knew it was bad news. Really was an awful idea to get him. |

Yeah, hopefully they could get a trade before the deadline for a good young pitcher, but I think right now their only choice is Leiter.
