I wonder how they’ll make the Firefly Funhouse Match come off as well but still come off different enough from the boneyard Match.

Like a mix of the campy feel of the Boneyard match and the 80s/90s horror feel of the House of Horrors match. |

WWE and the talent involved should get credit for putting together a good short film. It was entertaining. It wasn't a wrestling match though. It wasn't even a wrestling segment. It was a short film, or at best, the final fight scene in a B action movie.
My wife said it best, for what it was, it was a good, as good as the final fight scene in Walking Tall. All of this could have been done as well or better (and is often) by a college film major working on their final projects. Yet it took a multi-million dollar company that's creative is run by a 74 year old man, to do the same... and now its being praised as some brilliant game changer by some idiots. Again, it was different, and actually entertaining, unlike the rest of the show. They should get credit for that. However, it wasn't perfect, and had its flaws and goofy/ridiculous moments, and, if it wasn't for the talent/characters involved, and the storyline, it certainly wouldn't have worked. It's not some magical formula WWE can suddenly start using again and again. Sadly, I can easily see Vince being stupid and arrogant enough to keep trying to repeatedly do something similar with inferior talent, characters, storylines, etc. |

As bad as some of early 90s WCW was, as a kid I loved the goofy mini movies they had. Sting and Bulldog on a beach with Sid and Vader, freaking awesome. |

Overall for night one if Becky/Shayna had more time (I'm surprised at the ending but it wasn't bad just unexpexted) I think you would have had 3 decent matches (KO and Ladder match). The ladder match probably went off better as 1 v 1 v 1 than 3 tag teams, and the ending was at least unique and it didn't suffer too much from the usual "climb up the ladder real slow like an idiot" trope most ladder matches get. Everything else would have been forgettable no matter what, with an aside that Goldberg benefited from Roman backing out since that match would have had to go longer and been more varied.
Night 2has 4 key matches (Charlotte, Edge, McIntyre and Cena) I feel like Edge and Orton probably has a shot of being the best match of both nights. |

Really wish that they had kept the belt on Goldberg. Not big on Braun.

You'd think he'd be under some sort of contract so he can't go work for the other guys though.

Skimmed through the results on the main page.
All I got to say is that it's about time Braun Strowman became champion. I know it wasn't the best circumstances. But he should have held the belt once or twice by now. |

Won't know until after tonight. But it ain't looking good. Outside of a couple things this was one of the hardest to watch PPVs I've ever seen. The lack of audience and spectacle really hurts it. A lot.
It's also hurt by the lack of build and all the last minute changes with hardly any explanation. |

Nowhere near as bad as I expected.
I skipped the stuff I wasn’t interested in (Womens Tag Team, Elias/Corbin), the rest was satisfactory. I called the finish of Baszler/Lynch. I thought the Tag Title Ladder Match could have had a more interesting finish (Jimmy & Kofi taking a belt each and having to team, Jimmy/Jey swapping places, or just Miz/Morrison losing the belts as it gives them a legitimate gripe to run with) but the match itself was good. I was fearful that Zayn/Bryan was going to go long and come off badly with no crowd but they kept it short, Rollins/Owens was good (could have done without the DQ though), pretty impressed with AJ/Taker (could have done without the pyro show at the end though). I’ve got more hope for Night 2 now. |

So Goldberg is 52 and since his wwe return a few years back has pretty much exclusively only done 2 moves. Is he just doing a "Brock" and phoning it in or what? It's not as if he's over the hill, he's still in great shape and capable of a lot more. Just don't get why every match he's in now turns into spamming a spear over and over.
Even on his streak run in wcw his matches had more to them than this, sure you got the odd one where he won with 2 moves but doing the same move several times and a jackhammer is just a bit shit to say the least. |

Thats just it...he looks in great shape but he isn't. He's gassed after a minute or 2 and botches anything that isn't a spear.

If he was going to get in actual ring shape at his age, he would probably be around 240lbs instead of 280, but that's not the look of the "Goldberg Character". I'm fine with him doing what he does, but as an attraction, not the champion. |

Do people even want more out of Goldberg? He’s not there to go a long time or do lots of moves.

Put Black v. Lashley on the Kickoff. It doesn't belong on the main card with no build.

Goldberg shouldn't be there anymore and he shouldn't have been brought back for this run at all. He doesn't have it anymore. Every match hes had in recent years has been brutal and are at the top of the list of worst matches over that time period.

The only moves he can flesh out his moveset with are kicks and punches because he drops people awkwardly any time he tries to pick them up.

Did not watch yesterday "Live" but just watched the tag match, Becky/Shayna, Bryan/Zayn, Braun/Berg, and Boneyard Match.
Kind of skipped and passed through the other matches.... Becky/Shayna was good but with weird ending.... Bryan/Zayn I was hoping for more of a "back and forth match".... probably a crowd would have loved it as it was (except the ending) but doing the coward delay heel tactics thing does not play good in an empty arena..... Braun/Berg.... Crazy how Braun had all this momentum and steam behind him.... then they just did nothing with him... eventually gave him the IC Title, which no one really cares about anymore, and now randomly the Universal Title..... long after everyone has stopped caring about him really..... Boneyard Match reminded me a lot of Matt Hardy stuff..... but I guess I watched the whole thing and was more invested in it than thinking of watching something like Rollins/Owens? |
