How to use .idx and .sub files?
Yeah downloaded a movie, and it came with a .idx and a .sub file (for the subtitles for the film), any idea how to get them to work?

Not 100% sure, but I think you need to download DivX

Install VobSub http://www.afterdawn.com/software/au...ols/vobsub.cfm
Then just make sure all 3 files have the same name (e.g. called "HOT Lesbian rimjob.avi", "HOT Lesbian rimjob.sub" and "HOT Lesbian rimjob.idx") then just open the file in Windows Media Player and they should show automatically. Last edited by #BROKEN Hasney; 06-14-2010 at 05:12 AM. |

All you really need is that they have the same filename. For example Sluts.XXX.2003.idx should match Sluts.XXX.2003.avi
Then MPC or VLC should recognize this and show the subs. If not then there's subtitle options to turn it on/off, english, chinese etc if available. |

Would have also worked, that codec pack has VobSub in it I'd probably say download VLC as the more advanced option: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It is a much more powerful media player. |
