WWE should have saved the "Horror Show" tag line for a different event since Extreme Rules: Horror Show doesn't sound that good the more they repeat it.
Also because WWE picked a really bad time to use that tag line considering the real life stuff that's happened there recently. |

Did Charly suddenly shrink or she's just not wearing any shoes since no way she's shorter than Zelina.

Not sure what's worse, WWE having a Best 2 out of 3 for matches because Vince had a stupid "no wrestling during commercials" rule at the time or their new idea to abruptly kill a match's flow or pace for commercials now.

WWE trying to have actual matches with the 24/7 title just doesn't work since they almost always end up being just big wastes of time. Either you get a match that's terrible and/or just filled with shenanigans anyways.

That might have been the first time WWE has interrupted a promo segment for a commercial.

Rollins & Murphy vs. Black & Carrillo was pretty good.
That might have been one of the best Curb Stomps by Rollins. |

Wait ... WWE is holding another tribute to Taker tonight?
At least no Corbin around on RAW to tease a potential feud between the two. Nevermind its just a repeat of the stuff from SD last week. |

RAW started ok imo but it's gone downhill
I think I'm sort of over WWE...Not the talent, just WWE...if that makes sense...why am I watching this r/n, I'm not invested in it...it's just a habit... |

Haven't been that much of a fan of Prichard's handling since he took over and RAW feeling more like just a longer version of Smackdown now. Even NXT has started to feel more like RAW and SD with its sudden shift to more heavy story and talk stuff for shows and match quality going downhill. |

Ouch at Ruby's head from that spinning brainbuster.
Also Peyton busting out a brainbuster OUTTA NOWHERE was pretty cool. |

I think NXT will top AEW this week, they've really promoted The Great American Bash
But who knows, there is no rhyme or reason to Wednesday ratings |

That commercial for NXT's Great American Bash made me realize that WWE went way overboard with the stips and gimmick matches for Night 1.
All that's missing is Thatcher vs. Lorcan getting a random stip or gimmick added to complete the sweep for that night's card. Io vs Sasha being non-title deflated some of my interest in that match though. |

Unless they bust out Orton vs Drew for SummerSlam
or Taker wrestles at Survivor Series I think EXTREME RULES: THE HORROR SHOW might be my last WWE stuff until The Royal Rumble. |

I really don't understand how ratings are a thing these days. I think Twitter has taken over for that front.

If that doesn't happen, Orton vs. Ciampa or Adam Cole might be a possibility since Orton mentioned in a recent interview about wanting to do a high profile feud with someone from NXT at some point in the near future. |

Like Big E was trending before RAW started and that turned out to be mostly due to a festival with a similar name being cancelled this year and people confusing it with WWE's Big E thinking something bad happened involving him. |

On one hand, nice of Ricochet to get some tv time on RAW.
On the other hand, it was mostly just him getting destroyed by Lashley. |

True, Nielsen has it own share of issues but the system they use is still more reliable in figuring out an estimate of tv viewers for shows than others.
These days I'd be surprised if illegal streams contributed enough in numbers to make any real difference. |

Think WWE piped in some "enhanced audio" for this mixed tag match since some of the chants and reactions haven't matched what the actual crowd was doing.
Match itself was decent despite the flat ending. RAW itself was mostly boring though. |

I only watched the highlights, but this shit makes way more sense than AEW.
* Drew is a much better booked champion than Jon Moxley. Putting him with Asuka in the champions vs. challengers thing is logical. Dolph is far from the most compelling challenger, but at least there is the history of Dolph bringing him into the company, and Dolph gets to choose the stipulation. * Dolph calling it "Extreme Rules: Horror Show" is fucking brutal though. Can't this just be a regular PPV? What's wrong with calling this bullshit anything else? * Promos are fucking awful in WWE. The veterans who know how to talk are heads and shoulders above everyone else (Big Show, Christian, etc.). * Angel Garza & Andrade's split is being built up in a way that makes sense. Honestly, I hope they stick together for the meantime. Give them a run with the Raw Tag Team Titles. It won't hurt the belts any. But you can tell they are grooming Angel to be the babyface. * The beat the former #1 Contenders and then lost to Big Show in a Handicap Match after Garza walked out. At least it wasn't Big Show squashing them from scratch. * The Iconics don't need to wrestle ever again. They're clearly a Bruce Prichard thing. Just let them do bumpers in bikinis or something. That's their strong point. * Tozawa is getting airtime. Good for him. * The MVP/Apollo Crews stuff seems surprisingly good. MVP's "OG" gimmick is kind of cool. Lashley works way better as a mid-card bully than a legit main eventer. Apollo Crews is someone that seems to be getting more and more comfortable. Lashley vs. Crews might actually be a match that I go out of my way to watch. Not that it will be a classic or anything, but I think it will be what it is supposed to be. * Ricochet and Cedric Alexander did what they were supposed to do. They're both very white meat. There might be ways around that with Ricochet, but they're bodies for Lashley to toss around and that is fine. * Seth Rollins' gimmick is so fucking bad. * Rey Mysterio is still one of the best performers in the company. I'm not sure if this is because Rey suddenly became all-round great or if it's an indictment on the lack of personality in wrestling. Seth vs. Rey could be an in-ring classic. * This was an excellent use of Humberto Carrillo and Aleister Black. I like the two as a potential tag team. You've got MVP & Lashley, Carrillo & Black, Andrade & Garza and potentially Tozawa & Giant Ninja in there. Rollins & Murphy from time-to-time too. It's far from the best the division has ever looked, but Prichard is slowly stacking it up. It's from the world's most excellent wrestling, and there are still a lot of acts I wouldn't be able to give two flying fucks about, but on paper Garza vs. Andrade, Lashley vs. Crews, Humberto & Black as a tag team and even Tozawa are all mildly interesting things. |
