Have you been following the Anita Sarkeesian/Kotaku/SJW/Thunderf00t/MundaneMatt/Jordan Owen stuff? It's a lot of content and back and forth over the last two years that would be tricky to condense into a TLDR version for you. I will try, though.

She has been speaking out about how females are portrayed in video games, yadda yadda. She had some pretty harsh things said to her and that is where I stopped.

Who gives a flying fuck. We will still play games and if there is something that turns us away from a title, we will most likely not pick it up and play. Hatred from either side on this is silly and a waste of time.

It isn't my wallet that I choose with, I go with what game entices me most or seems to be the most entertaining. If someone wants to get all righteous about the industry, then no one should even purchase consoles due to their being produced mainly from precious minerals mined under slave-like conditions and their manufacturing plants behaving the same way and also using OIL to make said plants run and exploit the workers.

But we will still play.

I mean, you are choosing with your money. You either buy it or you don't, right? Or do you get games free?

You also seem to have some issue with people being passionate about the industry, which in turn smells like the old 'it's just games' mindset. This is fine, but if you're not interested in the discussion, I think you can better spend time somewhere else. Not excluding you, just never understood the need to say how uninterested you are in something.

Gaming still has a lot of growing up to do. It's rife with every negative aspect of society. Sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, stereotypes. Not just the fans but the industry as a whole.

Just a general comment. I have actually been wondering for a while how you feel about the portrayal of black guys in fighting games. Doesn't it bug you that every black guy in a fighting game is either a thug, a boxer or some kind of music/dance man?

1) Ascend: Hand Of Kul was recently pulled off of Xbox Live with the developer Signal Studios stating Microsoft did not inform them ahead of time about the delisting. While the Steam version remains unaffected, the XBLA version will lose all remaining support after November 18th.

2) In a recent interview with Eurogamer, the President of Sony's Worldwide Studios stated the company is very hopeful for a PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, the reason for declining EA Access on PS4 was a business decision, and the lack of Vita talk in recent press conferences is because the PS4 is their main priority.

No. They're cartoon characters made primarily by white nerds and Asians. Seriously, it's whatever. I'm all about the gameplay, unless the designer is earnestly trying to make some kind of point. Most of the time, they aren't.

I wasn't offended by it, personally. I just noticed that so many black guys in fighting games fit into the same mould and wondered how someone from the same racial background felt about it. Pure curiosity.

I'm not a fan of 1337 5p34|<.

I've tried 6 different gamertags, all taken. I looked a few up and they aren't even active. Likely ones people set up and never used. They should deactivate after X amount of years of continued inactivity. Say, 5 years.

Take it with a grain of salt since the main source is from reddit but a recent big rumor regarding Assassin's Creed Unity involves the possibility of playing "levels" or side missions with assassins from past games.

The person who's been leaking the stuff is also claiming the combat system is mostly broken at the moment. Same for the online netcode so far.

I imagine they would def be side missions ala playing as Altair for 5 missions in Revelations. Hope this is true; it would be a great feature imo.

Unity has supposedly been worked on since before AC Revelations. Apparently a bunch of people split off from the studio to make it, while the others put in the usual by the numbers, annual stuff.

For that reason, I'm gonna give Unity a chance when it comes out. Rogue is no doubt same old same old though.

Along with Blizzard's battle.net, Grinding Gear Games' Path of Exile, and Riot Games' League of Legends servers. Sony got the double whammy of PSN and SOE (PC side) so nothing from them was running.

President of SOE even had a bomb threat done against him by the same group responsible.
