If you think being eaten alive is 6 months in upper card matches at the most popular time in wrestling... I dunno what to say.

Bring a guy up. Get him some steam. Put over your guy. Career is over.

Maybe he could have beat crash holly for the european title or snuck in a 23 second hardcore title reign or two

Destor's probably right there. He's got to be billed as, what? 5'11 and 210lbs? He can talk his ass off, but as a wrestler? He's significantly smaller than "Above Average" Mike Sanders.

Luchasaurus is billed as being 233lbs. That's basically Chris Jericho in WCW. Taller, but lankier.

So nobody would encourage them to "get bigger" then?

I like his work ftr. But guys his size STRUGGLED until very recently. 5ish years ago or so the landscape changed and the dam broke on size. (And thats probably a bad thing that it did objectively)

In WWE? Yes. Absolutely. Nothing matters or will matter in any WWE programming until Vince is dead.

Really don't care anymore about main WWE. Enjoy NXT and AEW. And with NXT and NXT UK now being on BT Sport in the UK, I'll be cancelling my Network subscription. Not that I watch NXT UK, but still.
I don't think anything could happen to get me interested again, to be honest. |

The attitude era was weird, a dinosaur gimmick might have gotten incredibly over, then again it might have completely flopped. He is big enough and has a unique enough skill set though that he would have at least have had a chance. MJF on the other hand is far too small. As far as his Mic skills, in the attitude era everybody cursed and said outlandish stuff, so he likely would have been just another guy lost in the shuffle. As far as the 80's, he would have been a manager who bumped like Bobby Heenan. He would have thrived there. |

Luchasaurus would have been part of The Oddities
MJF would have been involved in storylines with PMS |

I think a guy like Moxley would have been lost in the Attitude era too.

Prob'ly would have depended on how well his inevitable matchup against Undertaker was received.

Maybe, but I'm pretty sure Mox would have been an ECW guy: being able to mix it up and hang with the likes of New Jack or Terry Funk with all the ridiculous accessories, but then turn around and have a classic match with Lance Storm or Shane Douglas.

I definitely see Mox in ECW. He'd be a guy who was eventually plucked, but I think people would be underwhelmed by how did elsewhere. |

I'm finding now after reading the show results I have no interest. I'll read the results and hope for a segment or match that is of interest to me, and literally nothing right now is calling to me. Sad sad times.

I think some of you are ignoring how different today’s competitors would look if they had access to the regimen of steroids and painkillers that made the wrestlers of the past the entertaining monsters we know and love.

Finally got to cancelling the Network.
Will dip in and out from now on. Well, I'll pay £40 a year instead of £120 and watch the 'Big 4' PPVs. |

I would be far more invested in guys like Chad Gable or Humberto if they were juiced up like *redacted* and Eddie Guerrero.

I quit WWE in mid-2016 because my work hours changed and I had to start getting up in the morning and never looked back. I'd still subscribe to the network and watch the PPVs if they gave me a reason to.
My peak was probably 2015-2017 when Revolution Pro Wrestling had Marty Scurll, Zack Sabre Jr and Will Ospreay every show, as well as a host of great ROH and NJPW talent. I went to at least 11 shows (between RevPro, WCPW, Progress and ROH) in 2017 alone. I was heavily invested in pretty much every New Japan show that year. If I was any good at sticking to a TV viewing schedule I probably would have watched other shows too. NXT/NXT UK and other guys moving on to New Japan, ROH and beyond have pretty much killed a lot of my interest in the local scene right now, ROH is in the toilet, and despite owning half of wrestling, WWE is still way too bad to invest my time in, so I've scaled back to watching the most essential NJPW shows and Dynamite when I remember. I love wrestling, but any fandom has peaks and troughs. Last edited by Mike the Metal Ed; 01-06-2020 at 08:28 PM. |

You're not missing much by not watching WWE. Watched Wrestlemania and the Rumble, will probably continue to do that I guess. The rest is just filler anyways. Re: AEW, well Jericho is still there... and now Christian is too, but not even that is enough to get you to watch. Not feeling like I am missing much. Wrestling is just "done". |

Me.
Too many good wrestlers, and women I cant have sex with wrestling. Not enough horrible gimmicks, bad in the ring hosses, and extremely ridiculous storylines. Distinct lack of Albert Vs Mideon Doggie Treats on a pole match, and storylines where Rick Steiner has decided to wear a dress and no one is allowed to say anything and must pretend he is not wearing a dress until there is a SWERVE and Billy Kidman brings out a mirror which ends in A SWERVE as the mirror is actually a photograph of Scott Steiner and ends up with Rick Steiner saying, "I didn't know you Scott and me were twins!". Basically not enough stuff to make me laugh and too much actual, good wrestling, which bores me. |
