People getting hyped for something with hype? Big surprise there. People are smart enough to see the potential of a wrestling company funded by a billionaire built off the platform of a 13,000 person arena show. It's not insanity.

Good on you for going down with the boat, I guess, but you don't know what Jericho's role is or isn't with the promotion. He could be very involved in the recruiting process. Could it be that Jericho is setting up things for Ryder (who Cody has said he wants) and/or Breeze (who is a student of Lance Storm's)? Could he be simply stirring the pot? Maybe he was being genuine? Fuck, I wouldn't be building a promotion around Zack Ryder or Tyler Breeze. It's not an insane statement to make.

Even though I've stated before I like the idea of another company, and even corrected you in this thread that I do not have hatred for AEW, you still feel the need to to go defensive against anybody who hasn't fully embraced every aspect and performer and statement made by said performers.

Just because I'm 90% in on AEW, instead of blindly ALL IN, suddenly I hate AEW and want it to fail? Come on man.

Jericho is feeding into that portion of the crowd is what it is, but from the point of view of somebody not blindly loyal, Jericho burying talents and calling anybody fat is ridiculous.

You can say you're 90% all you want, but your conduct is not being interpreted that way. I don't embrace every performer AEW wants to get into bed with. I don't like Joey Ryan and Joey Janella at all. I'm ambivalent about Britt Baker. I'm not that big on Cody or The Bucks, for that matter. You're talking shit about it being because you're raising healthy skepticism. You've been coming off like a contrarian who is trying to rally against the cool thing for the sake of it.

You’ve been criticizing everything in the AEW thread. It’s not just Jericho. I didn’t say you didn’t criticize WWE too. You’re just overly critical of people’s reasonable enthusiasm about something new. Correction, I've been critical of the geeking out on AEW. The same type of geeking out that Jericho himself was doing. WWE Sucks, AEW is the greatest thing ever, WWE wrestlers suck, WWE wrestlers are fat, we are so good we don't need WWE guys, yet we still go out of our way to talk about WWE all the time.

It's annoying when fanboys get overtly hysterical, but when a wrestler gets drunk and goes full cringe, it's worse.

Jericho is such good friends with Impact execs, you would think somebody would have told him going out of your way to bury WWE doesn't actually make your company any better.

It's like getting so upset that somebody isn't fawning completely over AEW that you would edit their post to a poopoo joke. Yeah, that isn't bias at all...

Depends on who ultimately ends up there. The actual AEW logo is great, so out of what is there now, that would be my pick.

No one is saying that shit though. People are just optimistic because they are smart enough to see a) how much money is going to be in this, and b) how much that is going to change the entire landscape, which we are seeing right now.

No one is saying it's the best thing ever. People have said things like "competition would be the best thing for WWE, so I hope this gets off the ground," but you're just getting annoyed and taking gripes with straw-men and your own aspergions.

You say that you are taking the exact same optimistic approach as everyone else, but you keep making threads like this one labelling it "AEW cringe."

WWE clearly doesn't want people wearing AEW merchandise into their shows. Didn't a video recently surface of them making a dude change? You just make stuff up all over the place. And you can say that they obviously don't want rival promotions' stuff at their shows, but it really is about what the people are wearing. You say very clearly, but you can't tell if it was 2 or 3 guys. Interesting.
