Also Netflix recently bought a multi-part documentary film based on Vince McMahon with Bill Simmons as the executive producer.

Only bummer is that WWE is also working on it meaning it very likely won't be as wild as it could be considering some of the stories involving Vince's life and career in wrestling.

I'd assume either WWE relaxed that rule or possibly some legal stuff wasn't finished yet for WWE's complete takeover of Twitch and Cameo accounts.

The whole situation was handled poorly to begin with in terms of the PR side and WWE being way too vague on what was actually going to happen. Didn't help that the middle man between talent and Vince was somewhat inept with the company's messaging.

Apparently the reason for Matt Riddle getting his first name chopped off is due to WWE didn't want people Googling his name and have the details of his sexual abuse accusations and lawsuit pop up easily.

Only way they change is via government action since the courts already sided with employers when it comes to independent contractor stuff.

UFC winning against a fighter who sued them over similar issues ended up being a big blow to the leverage WWE's talent used to have over the company. WWE used to fear the idea of being taken to court over their independent contractor shenanigans since the prevailing view for years was that they'd easily lose. Its why when they tried to stick a 1 year no compete clause on Del Rio when he left, it got quickly dropped since he threatened to take them to court.

As part of preparations for the campaign, HHS compiled a list of dozens of celebrities who might be good to include in the PSAs. The document, released by the House Oversight Committee, also includes “additional notes” about the celebs’ political leanings and personal history. It notes, for example, that Brad Pitt “slammed GOP and Trump’s impeachment during Oscars speech” and that Reese Witherspoon was arrested for drinking and driving in 2013.


There are a few sports figures on the list, like James Harden, Rob Gronkowski, Mariano Rivera and David Beckham. Ronda Rousey also made the cut, which is where this gets funny. The “additional notes” section next to Rousey’s name notes that she supported Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primary, that she expresses “anti-feminist views at times” and that she was “arrested during [a] WWE event in 2019.”


On the April 1, 2019 episode of Raw, the final show before WrestleMania 35, Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair brawled with each other in the ring after a match as tensions boiled over between the three women ahead of their main-event match at WrestleMania. When WWE security couldn’t break up the fracas, a bunch of “cops” dressed in extremely official-looking “Metropolitan Police” uniforms, entered the ring to handcuff Rousey, Lynch and Flair.

God, Vince is really such a huge, greedy cunt. Really haven't watched barely any WWE since the pandemic, and have yet to hear a single good thing about Vince. Making employees work under dangerous conditions, the whole third-party bollocks, and all the while he's raking in his millions. Absolute bellend. I've been a life-long WWE/wrestling fan since 1992 when I was five years-old, at this point I really wish something would come along and put WWE out of business, whether it's another company doing better business/ratings or some kinda legal battle. I really can't support WWE anymore. I despise Vince for what he's done to Wrestling and for what he does to his employees. He basically just let the wrestlers do whatever they wanted. He came up with the Hacksaw Jim Duggan finding the T.V belt in the trash. It was mostly defended on Saturday Night. Mini storylines were Saturday Night exclusive. Plus he had power plant guys like Mark Jindrak in his basketball player gimmick and Chuck Palumbo in his Tarzan gimmick mixing with vets brought in as enhancement talent like Tommy Rogers. It was a fun show.
