MJF should have won, since they're building up to MJF vs. Jericho

This Jacksonville farewell video would hit home more if they weren’t going straight back there in a month.

And after an emotional tribute video to send off Daily’s Place, Jim Ross ends the program by calling it “WWE Dynamite”

And Excalibur doesnt seem to say anything anymore but selling spots. Telling us about tshirt sales and tickets and how many gems are in the replica belts. Even Schiavone seems to have a rough time keeping it on track. |

Excalibur and Schiavone alone would be great, they’ve done it on the Buy In. Maybe sprinkle in the occasional Taz and Callis call when their clients are wrestling.
But JR has lost the plot |

I think the JR criticisms are fair and given that there are a lot of high quality play by play men available right now id love to see them give them a look. Whether it’s Mauro or Kevin Kelly or Tom Phillips or hell even Joey Styles. I think they’d all do great without the dreaded Vince headset.

Still a JR fan over here
And feel like he gives the show "credibility" to possible new/casual viewers who pass by and hear a familiar voice |

Twitter been fine for me but I had couldn't get TPWW to open properly in my browser earlier for some reason. Was missing elements and things were in the wrong place and no threads would show up. Had to switch browsers to get it to work.

JR just doesn’t have it anymore. He seems gassed and doesn’t have that same fire or energy he used to call matches with. Excalibur has come a long way and Tony is still good. Would much prefer them as the main announce team with JR getting to do those typically well produced one on one interviews they’ll run out every so often.

JR doesn’t care because the show isn’t very good. Shiavone is a shameless shill who will just love everything. It used to be transparent, but wrestling fans have gotten stupider. Excalibur doesn’t know what the hell he is doing. He’s basically every fan-wank indy commentator that thinks what is more important than why.
It’s a good reflection of AEW. |

The coffin match was postponed from next week's show in Miami in light of the recent tragedy that happened there.
Will be cool when it happens, love both Darby and Ethan Page. |

I think the best solution for JR would be to a permanent two-man team of Excalibur and Tony, then cycle a third person in and out through the show - Don Callis for Omega and Bucks matches, Taz for his guys, JR for the odd big match, Paul Wight and Mark Henry can fit in there, and other people could get tryouts as they go. Keeps the appeal of JR as a "big match announcer" but without expecting him to carry a whole show (and hopefully would mean he's got less to have to remember).

JR doesn’t have to “remember” shit. He calls what he sees. How about doing an actual wrestling program that doesn’t put his back up as a commentator?
Having Tony Shiavone and Excalibur call AEW is not too dissimilar to celebrating the commentary tandem of Michael Cole and Corey Graves, and having a product they can call but Gorilla and Jesse get lost on. |

Friendly reminder, JR used his wife's death to get a sympathy contract from WWE, and repaid that gesture by complaining they didn't use him enough, going to another company, running down WWE as often as he can, while also still making podcast money talking about WWE like 90% of the time.
That's Good Old JR for you. |

Should have ended with the tombstone. I have to believe now that all these veterans in the company are there to collect a paycheck, and don't actually assist the talent at all. Because if they were, they'd be screaming at mjf and sammy for ruining what would have been a great finish.

On one of his earlier “Grilling JR” podcasts, JR responded to criticism of him being an “AEW shill” by saying “No shit. They pay me.”

Oh, he goes off-topic on weird tangents constantly and is probably a bit tipsy much of the time. But he’s honest as can be without costing himself money. And you can tell he’s just ADDICTED to the wrestling business. He can talk about it with his mind on autopilot and still make it work.

I don’t like Bruce Prichard. It’s everything about him. He reminds me of this sort of person. He’s got this snotty little brother vibe for me. I can understand finding entertainment value in his spin though, but I’m just personally way too put-off by him.

I broke down and actually watched the Omega/Dark Order segment. A few thoughts.
1. Why are people so sure that the guy who can't even call out the Champion himself is gonna beat Omega? Omega runs him down and he isn't man enough to stand up for himself? This whole segment made him look weak. 2. How are 6 dudes so intimidated of a guy who is a complete god damned dork that they don't jump him for running them down? Faces and heels don't matter, right? This segment made them look weak... er. 3. Was it too much to ask to have them step up to Omega, get jumped by the cannon fodder (Cutler and Nakazawa) and the Dumb Fucks from behind. Have Page come out to make the save, and it culminate with him staring down Omega? I'm gonna call it right now. Omega pins this guy, clean as a sheet, after a single One Winged Angel. And the Bullet Cult will be impressed at how Tony Khan, Booker of the Year, "Swerved" them. |
