Osiris goes live on the 5th but bungie also announced a bunch of changes and new content coming in a free update on the 12th.

lol Bungie themselves admitted the new exotic tracer rifle is completely broken

Looks cool as fuck though. Want it.

Finished the campaign yesterday. Pretty good. Cool end boss. Also adds 3 adventures after that, as well Heroic versions of adventures.

Gonna Czech out the strikes tonight.

New exotic hunter arms kinda lame. Got Orpheus Rig combined with Nightstalker which is BEAST, but I don't really like the look of Rig, and I'm very much about style when it comes to Destiny

Mercury faction armor looks neat. Might try and get the set.

Yeah that's a major issue for me in PvP. Strikes were always random tho.

You can preview the armor ornaments coming in the next faction rally and god damn, New Monarchy and Dead Orbits look really cool.

Future War Cult dull as ever. All their budget must have gone to that fancy room in the tower.

Sucks, as their stuff was so cool in the first game.

Yeah nobody did that, there was very little reason to do that. Aside from liking the set pieces that much.

Being able to choose individual Strikes at their rewarding Heroic difficulties would be the middle ground we need.

Ouch, looks like you're locked out of shit you used to be able to do and some weapons you used to be able to get unless you pay up for the DLC again? Fuck me, I was waiting to see if this bullshit would go on again.

That's actually how it's always kinda been. The new high end gear is often DLC and the an update tends to add new stuff to the endgame. You always had to spend money to keep up in power and activities.

This paid content thing is starting to hit hysteria levels. Not every DLC item is a cause worth rallying against, unless everybody actually wants to spend $90 on a game. I would, but most would not.

Yeah, it always has been, but locking people out of activities that were already doable (especially on PC which has only been out for a month and a half) should be unacceptable. They should make a compelling reason to buy the DLC rather than make people feel like they have to.

I wasn't mentioning new high level gear either. I was saying that certain previously obtainable gear is now not obtainable.

EDIT: Thought I had that part in my original post, but I didn't. Here it is:

You cannot hit 330 without the DLC as you are locked into 300/305 until you are level 21-25 which is only available in the DLC. Scaling makes this pretty close to impossible for the majority of the players to overcome basically paper armor armed with peashooters mode. I just want my shotty :<

(I thought my friends and I could just slowly hit 300 then grab the shotgun but apparently nope PC only gets 6 weeks then its off the the chopping block)

Patrolling this time around is a bit confusing at first. But I'm starting to get it........again. Apparently I need to move heaven and earth to get a Sparrow.

Also wish there was a legend for those new symbols dotted around the map. I know one is for area loot chest. Don't know what the other is.

0layed this for a few hours and am already level 11. Seems odd since the max level is 20 pre expac. Is this game super short?

The levels just regulate the gear you get. Lvl 20 is when the real game begins. From their you're basically trying to max out your light level, or at least getting to a place where you're good with your loadout for whatever you like to do in the end game, be it Trials or Raid or whatever.

I havnt fought any new enemies yet I don't think either. Feels odd. Figured there would be a whole new breed of enemies or a ton of new types for the current factions.

Yeah, I've gone into some tunnels and found a couple lost areas.

But, when I landed, I expected a big earthlike area to explore. Wasn't expecting endless ocean and hoping around on some oil platforms.

I think this is Destiny 2's version of The Moon. 3 areas and the Temple of Crota running underneath.

With every passing moment in this game as the woman and I play it, I remind myself how much I miss the first one.

Though there are something I still really enjoy about this one. Namely how good autos now are.

Damn it. When I posted this, I thought they meant they were putting an in game codex into the game. Not the case. They say players can discover the lore in game, but it's no where near as encompassing as the grimoire.

As much as I hated how they were implemented, the cards themselves were great for lore nerds like me. I loved reading the little snippets on every boss enemy, and the little mini stories about various topics.

Got an exotic ship and exotic ghost for in a couple yesterday. Ship got a lousy transmat effect, so gotta find a cooler one.
