its the first time those IPs have trickled upward and i think with where the film ends there is a lot of room for spider-man to be a street level hero like he is in the comics. daredevil could be used to explore that very easily

him being more street level possibly would open up the opportunity for Kraven as well. I thought MCU Spidey was honestly too powerful to go up against Kraven as he was. A given we'll being the lil piece of the symbiote sooner than later too.

i definitely want to see street level marvel back in the spot light. there's too many great stories and a deep rogues gallery to just not go there

So got around to seeing this today. Another movie that was too long. I don't watch a lot of superhero movies because they are boring so I didn't know both of the Spider man cameos. I knew the original one that I think was in the macho man movie. The theatre were clapping like nerds and really turned off the moment though.

I will give this movie 2 stars. Another boring superhero movie.

I’m not some huge marvel movie stan as I feel they’re mostly cookie cutter and forgettable sans a few standouts, but I’ve never been bored watching any marvel film. They’re more than enjoyable if nothing else.

But I think "in theory" using vague "multiversal logic", the two other Spider-Men would go back to their original universes where the villains never left and died as they should have.... while the villains would go back to create another possible branch in the timeline where maybe they survive and things go different....

I read the wiki and doesn’t seem confusing at all. Endgame wasn’t confusing either it was just really fucking long, justifiably so.

Now I have to hope that Keaton gets the same love and respect when the flash starts jumping into different timelines and universes next year as Spider-Man has seemingly set the bar very high.

Loved it so much.

Only complaint is that I had hoped there would be better reasoning for strange risking all of reality than just "we're buds and you're in a pinch" but there wasn't. Just seemed out character considering how careful strange has been in the past. Far cry from the guy who refused to destroy the time stone to stop Thanos from erasing half the universe.

Didn't ruin my enjoyment though.

I was only expecting the other spider-men to show up in the climax, so it was a great unexpected surprise that we got so much more from them. And the chemistry between them was so good.

WHAT THE FUCK at sending Tom Hardy back. I was so hyped to see him in the mcu. For as shitty as the venom movies can be at times, the titular character is not the problem, and is in fact very entertaining. Now they're going to try their own venom which will probably be super dark and serious to differentiate it from the good venom, who will go back and what? Fight Morbius? Fucking kill me now.

I was not sure about revealing Spider-Man's identity at the end of the last movie, and I still am, but I do like that we're seeing the consequences of that. It doesn't look like that'll be undone, since living with a public identity will be one of the lessons this movie is setting up. I much prefer Spidey with a secret identity, but they can still win me over on this.
