Near sure the first person to use that (that i can remember) was Chris Nowinski, he called it the "Honor Roll". Ony used it a few times before he started using others, a spinebuster was one, skull crushing finale was another, as well as a double underhook suplex.

It's pretty bad if they give that move to every new guy they bring in.

Not a finisher but I get annoyed at how many do the slingblade now, if I was doing it I'd insist they call it something else

Elix Skipper was the first I seen use it in WCW. It had something called Skip in it, since his first name was Skip Over, before he became Elix Skipper and calling the Play of the Day. I can't for the life of me, remember what it was called when he was Skip Over.

What about the pump handle slam? That is another generic finish they give big guys who are not big enough stars to get a powerbomb.

Road Dogg did the pumphandle slam, Test did a pumphandle powerslam.
I liked them both. Prefer the big boot from hell though. |

Sister Abigail/Knox Out is a terrible finisher, especially if it's being done to anyone with some size.

Is that a rib move given to wrestlers who can't come up with a finisher?

Any which are not the Figure 4. To claim otherwise wouldn't be fair to Flair.

The Styles Clash is pretty dumb. Just basically slamming a guy’s knees and feet to the canvas while the head is only inches off the ground.

I remember somebody in the original incarnation of NXT had a finisher where it started as a full nelson, and then he just spun him around and with no additional force, the other wrestler just casually drops to his stomach.

This looks like he's trying to kill his wife again. I liked the Mandible Claw when it was done with the leather finger strap. Mr Socko was terrible. |
