Independent Contractor will Make it or Break it for WWE
With the recent Twitch debacle, and now that AeW is a legitimate player in the game, I think that the independent contractor issue will be the straw that breaks WWEs back.
There is much noise about this term, and I believe that eventually this will be investigated, especially if Trump loses. I wonder if they will have compensate retroactively. Come down to my dungeon..eh...I'll stretch the feck out you Only legends know..ehhh.. |

saying talent cant stream is well within their rights. the contracts absolutely cover this type of thing telling talent they can stream if they share profits however is a massive over reach. this wont go well in court.

AEW still classifies the majority of their roster as independent contractors, with no kind of insurance or benefits. That is not an exclusive WWE thing, that's a pro wrestling thing.
It's always going to come down to how many people want that chance enough that they will sign their rights away. It's why they have never been able to unionize, because there is always 20 other guys who would be happy to take their spot and make another $500,000 a year. |
