I always said growing up when HBK and Taker both retired then I would retire as a fan but wrestling has managed to keep me so far...

I hate the whole HOF in the ring thing. Feels like all the inductees are talking solely to a camera with their backs to everyone.

I liked his approach to his induction....telling his fans to keep the fire lit within themselves is a cool message to pass on to us.
And for his whole segment, I didn't sit down....I stood in the same spot for the whole thing. It's kind of how, when the late Don Rickles made an appearance on 'The Howard Stern Show', Howard stood when he spoke to Don. That's called respect, and I chose to watch Taker's HOF acceptance speech that way. And what he said at the end to 'never say never'.....that's probably him just saying that he may show up again when it's least expected. He didn't make an ass of himself at WWE's expense in his whole career, and that respect for his job was MORE than repaid to him tonight. A lengthy standing ovation to start, probably the longest such reaction in a Hall of Fame ceremony ever, was EPIC. Whatever Taker does from here, I dunno....but I really hope he finally hits the public appearance circuit. It's time for him to start making that BIG $$$$$ out there, and get one fat fucking wallet! XD Mark 'The UnderTaker' Calaway....how can we forget him? Not soon, that's for sure. =) |

Wish Steiners had at least double the time. Also wish they came out to Steinerized.

We need a picture of RaginRonic watching Taker's speech standing up next to Damninator's picture of Paul Bearer

I liked Taker's speech but it took a while to get going. There were many great tributes and it was touching to see the curtain pulled back so that we can see what was important to Mark all these years. I wonder if he forgot to mention Foley or if that was purposeful. I feel it was an accident, but if not that's an interesting story. The show was dreadful though. |
