What WWE should do with Becky Lynch at Royal Rumble
After Survivor Series they strip her of the title. They make the womens Royal Rumble be for the Smackdown womens title. Whoever wins, is the champion. Becky enters the Rumble at #1 and wins the Rumble. Wins her belt back.
The Man. Boom. You're welcome WWE. It dont matter who did what to who at this point. The fact is, we went to war. And now there aint no going back. It's what war is you know? Once you're in it, you're in it. If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie, but we gotta fight! |

They should just have her give the belt to Charlotte and hug her again, because WWE is fucking stupid.

They shouldn't do a Women's Rumble.

Triple threat, Becky vs Ronda vs Charlotte is my preference
Most likely, bc WWE refuses to strike while the iron is hot repeatedly we will get Nia vs Becky and Ronda vs Charlotte |

What I'd do, so it's what they won't do:
Charlotte vs Ronda, and Becky vs Nia. We get Charlotte vs Ronda, Ronda breaks/fractures/indian rugburns Charlotte's arm and she's out of the SD ME scene until after Mania. The Raw after Mania, she comes in from the crowd and assaults Ronda as a crazed bitch, jumping shows for her Ronda program. Becky doesn't lose the SD Women's title throughout. Early in the show, she wins the Women's Rumble from around the 20 spot, & later she brutally beats Nia in a No DQ match riding the high of her win. Being the champ already, this just gets her pick of opponent. The Man wants the Dream Match she never got. Vs Ronda for Mania, Champ vs Champ. |

Like to see them at the Rumble (well, fuck Nia), but those are probably your Mania bouts.

They shouldn't do a woman's Rumble Match because I don't want another woman's career completely ruined like Asuka's was.
Plus winning it doesn't mean shit anyways since Charlotte and Fat Shit are the only ones Vince McMahon cares to push regardless. Vince doesn't even care about pushing Ronda other than for mainstream attention. |

The women aren't very good at that match. They shouldn't just give them gimmicks to emulate the men. They should come from their own styles and strengths. Give them something similar to a G1 or something. They all fight each other all the time anyway. Raw block winner faces SmackDown winner. Really, these two winners could be the #1 Contenders on their own show.
But having two Royal Rumbles also makes the Royal Rumble a bit muted. It should be the story of the show, where your anticipation builds through the whole night to get to it. You can't do that with two Rumbles. Look, if they really want to do one, and pad it out with legends and NXT girls, fine, I get it -- do it sometime later in the year to set up Evolution. Give them another PPV around SummerSlam time so that SummerSlam can focus on the main issues while the women can focus on having a Royal Rumble and maybe two title matches and one grudge match. |

Oh god not a G-1. Their talent pool isn’t deep enough to pull that off. The G-1 works because all the participants are capable of consistently pulling off good to great matches, and being able to tell different stories in the ring. I trust a few of the women on the main roster to be able to do that. A few more if they pulled from NXT. But still not enough where thinking about it doesn’t make me want to lie down.

Frankly, I don’t think the mainstream wwe audience has the patience for something like a G-1, even with talented participants.

I think the talent would be fine. They all have matches anyway. I don't trust them to be able to keep score and know where they are going with it, to be honest.

Womens rumble would be a lot better if half the participants weren’t green as grass or “legends” that have barely done anything wrestling related in 10 years.
That was the real problem. Pushing it as this revolutionary thing and then going “Hey check out all these bimbos from the piss break era!” |

Unless I’m mistaken they don’t have anywhere near the amount of singles matches for a full g-1. It’s mostly formulaic tag matches.

Keep in mind I like a lot of these women and think many of them have a lot of potential, but I have no desire to see them in singles matches in anything longer than a standard tournament.
I love Sonya Deville but watching 9 successive singles matches as she is now? Ugh. |

I can stand to watch some of these women in small doses, which is basically what we get now. A G-1 is not small daoses. It's 10-30 minute matches for every round.
I mean you could shorten it to 5-15 minute matches, but at that point it's like, who cares? It just doesn't seem feasible in the WWE enviornment. |

I just don’t think anyone will give a shit about a round robin tournament between people who cant wrestle. It’s important that the booking of it makes sense, but I believe that to keep people invested in the progress of the tourney the matches need to deliver. They can’t do that with the roster they have.

I mean none of this matters because the rumble isn’t going anywhere. A big part of the “revolution” is them trying to prove that the women can do anything the men can, and that’s not going to change.

Honestly, WWE should just fire all the women they have and hire all the top female Japanese workers.
I’ll go total weaboo on this I don’t even care. They’re better than everyone else and they always have been. |

One of the most impenetrable things about the G1, for me, is that everything is "so good" that it blends together. And I kind of get sick of seeing the forearm exchange spot. In a broader way, I actually think the more fruity gimmicks of WWE would help a concept like this stand out. This I agree with. It's unfortunate, because they don't really know what to do with the men either. |

A big problem I have with WWE's women's division is that there is such a talent gap between the women who an actually wrestle and the women who are learning. You have Divas mixing it up with joshi. This would be like Shawn Michaels working Don Harris.

Ruthless Aggression era would have been perfect for that concept. You had a great mix of tremendous wrestlers, great characters, and guys who were both.

Neither do I, I just think it would be an ideal thing for the women given the talent pool. You can tell stories year-to-year with it. It'd be a very easy way to show improvement in someone.

I think a single elimination tournament would be better for that. Essentially a MYC for the main roster. You can stretch it out over the course of a month or so which gives you plenty of time to tell stories. I think they would be able to handle booking that well enough.

I think this is just Becky going into business for herself. But the only way Becky sees a Mania main went (like they apparently want to shoe-horn the women into) is with Conor in her corner. More likely they give him to Charlotte though, with Becky’s blessing.

They should reward that type of behavior. She's going out of her way to be relevant and push her character and of course branching out to stars in other sports is a positive
