Was that a count botch by the ref?
Nevermind, it was Ortiz who messed things up. Flow of the match got all messed up because of it and same for the crowd's hype. |

Santana & Ortiz vs. Private Party was pretty good overall despite the big botch killing the flow of the match.

Trying to find out what a "government mule" is and only getting results for some Australian band named "Gov't Mule" and references to Jim Ross saying it

Thought for a moment he was going to crash and burn with the Coffin Drop spot since that would have been brutal for his back but was relieved when Moxley caught him in the submission counter instead. |

Great show.
When the "worst" match was Shida/Baker and that was easily a 3 (I won't argue if you give it 3.5) star match on the SMEAT scale, you're doing a hell of a job. I like wrestling again. Thank you AEW. |

Gave Shida vs. Baker a 3.5 overall. Shida was very good and feel Baker is slowly getting better and more comfortable in the ring than she was early on. Also helped that the crowd wasn't burnt out from the great Fenix vs. Nick Jackson match that started the show. Luchasaurus vs The Librarian got the worst score of the night due to it just being a quick squash match. Guess in terms of squash standards, a 1 would be average so the match was at least good for its use. |

I loved the Nick/Fenix match and the Darby/Mox match... The Jericho segment with SCU was good at points but I feel like they missed some material, the joke didn't really work. Plus Daniels and Kazarian need to stay away from the mic.
The seeming botch from Santana or the ref in the tag match was total crap. He should've just counted to 3. Seems like a lot of folks are saying it's one of the best episodes I'd say it's the worst. But still good. |

This week everything felt separate and mostly isolated. Yeah, there was some connection like with Nick stealing the slapjack from PnP and Jurassic Express running in at the end of the Inner Circle segment, but it doesn't feel like there was one major plot pushing things along from segment to segment. All the individual parts were mostly good, so it was still a "good" show, but I think the major differentiator for AEW has been the fact that it feels like a living/breathing show and a "real" place where people interact. This week was a lot more like a standard WWE show where it felt to an extent like 8 different producers/writers produced 8 separate segments and no one really talked. |
