I think Owens could lose the NXT Title. It's sort of the right thing to do to leave NXT in safe hands, you know? Finn Balor is the #1 Contender, and it would actually make sense for him to bring out The Daemon to challenge Owens this time and succeed, in a triumphant face moment. Owens is never seen in NXT again. It's just a little nugget for those who follow NXT that their guy beat the guy that is now beating Cena.

Both he and JR shared that WWE has not yet interviewed either of them for the documentary, however Bret suggested that other family members were about to be interviewed.

It was reiterated again that Martha Hart are her children are in no way attached to the project and are not happy about it, while most others in the family are supportive. Bret believes Martha to be on the “wrong track” with her approach to the situation and has the opinion that she wishes to “erase everything he did in wrestling” in a “childish” and “selfish” manner.

Responding to Martha’s recent public statement to WrestlingDVDNews.com, in which she implored WWE to “just let [Owen] rest in peace”, Bret said that there’s a lot of people that miss him and would love to remember him fondly with a DVD and the stories it could tell.

“I think it’s important to remember what Owen accomplished in wrestling and I disagree with her position about Owen. There are so many happy memories tied in with Owen and I wish his kids could hear the stories”, he stated on the podcast.

According to a TNA source, Tyrus could not make the dates as TNA contracts prevent their talents from working for companies with TV deals. The mindset within TNA is that since GFW announced they would be taping TV, that put the promotion out of bounds when it came to using TNA talent. Ring of Honor is in a similar situation with Moose but is allowing him to work the GFW house shows, but not the TV tapings. Tyrus, who was being billed by GFW under his real name George T. Murdoch, was not scheduled for the GFW TV tapings.

"It started out as just a little character, then it kind of evolved from that. Then I'm like 'If I'm not going to be this Dare Wolf character, let me make this Bunny really f-cking cool. Me and Adam Rose sat down and wrote out stories to make this bunny and evil bunny, because he wanted to be a heel so bad. We wanted to do like the Donnie Darko thing. We had an awesome mask made by the people who do The Walking Dead makeup, the same people who make Kane's masks. We had things filmed, and all of these ideas to turn this bunny into an evil, sadistic character. Adam Rose was going to be like a Marilyn Manson character. Everything got shot down. Each time I'd come up with something or Adam would come up with something, it'd get shot down. An idea that I thought was great and everyone thought as It's more frustration, it gets disheartening. It makes you lose passion for what you're doing."

"They were just doing it week-to-week. I think they wanted it to end up being someone who was returning. Someone like Kurt Angle or Jeff Hardy, somebody cool like that. Anyone else on the roster, it wouldn't have been cool. It wouldn't have been a shock. I came up with an idea for the bunny to become really hardcore, he has dried blood all over him, sitting backstage grumpy smoking cigars. It's like when people hit their all-time low. The bunny should be going through ladders, tables, and coming close to winning championships, but doesn't because he's too f-cked up. Then maybe the bunny gets knocked out backstage, and a ref shows up and it's Vince. That's the only shock factor it could be, if it's someone on the roster. Then Vince wakes up and just goes 'I don't know what happened. I put the suit on and I just blacked out.' Everyone loved the idea, it just never came to fruition."

If WWE really is going to air the 4th of July show from Japan live on the network then I'm going with my half joking idea of Kofi winning MITB only to lose it to Brock in Japan. There's like no other reason for them to wrestle in Japan.

Mask sort of resembles a certain TPWW Smackdown star's mask. Maybe Ryder got the wrong package or he's about to become Owen Ryder.

It'd be pretty cool if Balor won it in Japan, especially now it's airing.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE watching me some of THE BIG GUY, but I don't understand why people still are impressed by wrestlers 275-300+ pounds hitting their finishers. Fucks sake, Brock F-5'd Show at Survivor Series in a losing effort to keep the WWE Championship, and that was impressive because (IIRC), it was the first time anyone near his size had pulled off something like that, but now it's just sorta like, "oh yay, that's nice, zzzzz..." when that happens.

A correction from last week: While it was the case that WWE wouldn't touch anyone from TNA, we're told that WWE is looking to find out what dates a few of the good workers in TNA's contracts expire because they are interested in TNA guys, but right now only for NXT. I think it's pretty clear that NXT is lacking good wrestler depth and they are selling it on both a few personalities like Enzo & Cass, and the women, but the key is the great workers and right now there are only a few of them.

One person noted how scary it is when you look at how long so many have been around and how limited they still are. The fans themselves at the Florida house shows are very different than the Northeast, as they fully accept weak matches and have a good time no matter what, so it's a far better environment to work and build confidence, but it's also the difference between performing in front of 200 to 500 people and 2,000 people. They are doing far more with the television show in post-production.

Add Johnny Gargano, Northeast Wrestling's Jimmy Preston and former TNA woman wrestler Taelor Hendrix to the list of people being brought in at the next camp which is next week. WWE is looking at adding more workers because they realize the NXT brand doesn't have the depth needed, particularly with the decision to pull Owens at the same time Itami and Zayn are injured. The negative is the guys NXT is supposed to be for, the guys actually trained from scratch, are falling farther and farther behind and are not progressing anywhere near as fast as they should.

In addition to Matthew Riddle and Biff Busick, indy wrestlers Drew Gulak and Chuck Taylor are also going to take part in the WWE tryout camp at the Performance Center in Orlando next month.

PWInsider notes that TNA Knockout Havok is at the WWE tryouts in Orlando this week, indicating she may be done with TNA this time.

As seen on this week's WWE NXT, Eva Marie spoke and said she wants in on the NXT Divas competition. She and Bayley have been teasing a match on Twitter so it appears that may be her first opponent since returning to the ring after training with Brian Kendrick.

ShowBuzzDaily.com reported in their Top 100 cable shows listing for Wednesday night that the initial 9:00 p.m. ET broadcast of Impact Wrestling was seen by 297,000 viewers. That's down 28% from 413,000 viewers for the final Friday night broadcast last week.

Ring of Honor on Destination America was not on the list, which is sorted by rating (percentage of homes with the channel watching the show when it comes to cable ratings). The rating used was for the adults 18-49 demographic, and which means ROH did less than a 0.07 (lowest rating on the top 100 list) in the demo to TNA's 0.09.
In terms of numbers overall, numbers are a decent start for ROH considering they only providing past episodes will be shown for now while TNA didn't benefit at all with ROH as the lead in. In terms of live episodes, ROH does around 500,000 viewers on average while NESN hasn't been factored in yet. TNA's numbers get better if the replay done for the West Coast gets added in but still down compared to last week.

Ryback's first opponent out of the gate should have been Mark Henry. They can play off the Chamber, their WrestleMania history, and Ryback could beat Henry and claim to have defeated the strongest. Then he could move on to Big Show at the Japan show or Battleground. He can beat the biggest. Then he has to beat the best Intercontinental Champion of all-time...BABY!

It's a shame J.R. Evans isn't in the list. He was awesome in that one segment he had with Ryback.
