Battle of the Themes #18 - Batista
Chris Jericho's WCW theme, "One Crazed Anarchist" (AKA the Evenflow ripoff) came out on top for Y2J.
Next up we have Mr. Konami Code himself, The Animal, Dancin' Dave Batista. #1 - Monster #2 - I Walk Alone Last edited by Xero; 01-08-2010 at 01:46 PM. |

I dont usually vote on these things, but whenever I go to Canada's Wonderland and go on a ride called "Behemoth" it reminds me and my friends of Batista, and I can't help but think of his theme and little dance everytime I go on that ride.
Since I didn't really watch wrestling that much as of late, it's the first theme that comes into my head. I rarely like when they ruin old good themes by making a rock song out of them anyway. |

Find that Monster is a more badass sounding theme and suits his heel character more but I must admit that I Walk Alone is a better tune to get pumped up to so I voted for it.

"Monster" was great for when he was a heel. Just sounded so menacing and threatening.
"I Walk Alone" was great for when he was a bland face that no one cared about. (well obviously SOMEONE did) Therefore "Monster" easily wins. Wish he went back to it when he turned heel. |

I didn't even have to play the vids. I chose "Monster" right off the bat because "I Walk Alone" just seems like a really hugely pussified version of "Monster" with lyrics added.
And @parkmania, you are correct. He did use Eyes of Righteousness when he was with "Reverend" D-Von. |

For the courtesy of those who choose to go with "Other"...
...here are a couple that might strike your fancy.
Batista OVW Theme - "Voodoo" by Godsmack and the one parkmania mentioned Deacon Batista debut theme - "Eyes of Righteousness" by Jim Johnston "OH (MY BRUTHA,) TESTIFY!" and LONG LIVE THE ALMIGHTY SAVING GRACE! Last edited by DAMN iNATOR; 01-08-2010 at 04:29 PM. |

Definitely 'Monster', which sounded really sinister and evil. 'I Walk Alone' sounds like every other typical generic WWE rock song entrance music.

Yeah, the trouble really starts when guys with badass first/debut themes have horrible lyrics tacked on to them...yecch!

I voted I Walk Alone, but much like Orton Line In The Sand is my favorite theme of his as well.

Think maybe I'll gauge the response (with Xero's blessing of course) to a Battle of the Tag Team Themes style series of polls, with you, the posters deciding not only the winners of each match-up, but also who should go first, or next. Not making any guarantees yet though. It's just a vision that I'd like to make a reality. |

I've done stables and tag teams in the past (DX, Dudleys). They will come in time.
I only exclude tag and stable themes in singles because I intend to put them against one another, and if I include them in singles then it brings up whether they should only get one chance or keep going UNTIL it gets in. I don't want that. |

Totally unrelated to anything but Bats' OVW time, but Voodoo is such a cerebral song. I just keep going back to hear it "1 more time! 1 more time! 1 more time!" I'd seriously never heard it before I researched it on Wiki and then YT'd it up. Needless to say I think Godsmack just earned themselves one huge fan.

is it scary to say when you say the Konami Code out loud to the chorus of "I Walk Alone" it fits perfectly?
