anyway to download/extract songs from this here
site named Selectracks (or to make it easier, a page with a random song on so you can see what the player is like), used for licensing music for film, ads etc. I signed up/was willing to pay for the song I want but was told to wait for my "account to be verified" and now I'm bored of waiting/fairly sure it's not gonna happen given it was like a week ago. So yeah, anybody know of a way to get the song out of the embedded player so I don't have to rip it from Youtube? (the song I want isn't anywhere else, iTunes, Amazon etc, the artist doesn't even have a website/a single mention of them outside of this Selectracks place and a vid somebody put on Youtube)

Probably need to use a program to record it via your PC's own sound card as it streams. Don't know of any specific ones myself, but they're bound to be out there. Unless anyone knows a particular program, might be worth just Googling around or something.

Have you tried one of those tube extractors that's supposed to work on pretty much everything?

You can download the files to pretty much anything using Safari...
Open the page, but don't click play yet. Go to the "Develop" menu and choose "Show Page Resources" (if the develop menu is not there, turn it on in the preferences) Then press play on the song and the file it's streaming will show up under "Other" in Page Resources and you can double click it and it will download. In this site's case it's a .flv file but there are a bunch of .flv to .mp3 converters u can get for free |
