FTR/Sheepherders was the only one I really struggled with.

I went with The Usos. I’ve never been a huge Dudleyz fan. They were over, sure. The Usos don’t really do it against classic teams I like, but they’re a great modern team, so they get the pass here from here.

My unpopular ones were FTR over Sheepherders and Steamboat & Youngblood over WGTT.
FTR are probably the best in-ring team of the past decade. I know The Sheepherders we’re great for a while there, but I just had to go with FTR. Steamboat & Youngblood got the nod just because I think of their Mid-Atlantic work as holy. I love WGTT, but they just weren’t…significant enough? I dunno. They were the first really true tag team to really feel like they took the reigns from the TLC group though. I won’t be disgusted if they win. |

I went with the Freebirds for significance. Also, fuck The Hardys. I can’t think of any wrestler I’ve soured on as much as Matt Hardy.

My thing with that match-up is that the hardys aren't very good. You take the stunt man bull shit out their career and what do you really have?

Someone really needs to give the R&Rs a pity vote.

It’s hard to think of a straight forward tag that actually sticks out as good.

The Hardys vs Freebirds: Going with The Hardys. Feel like legacy and impact-wise, Hardys were bigger and more people will remember them. The only reason people ever remember/think about the Freebirds is The Freebird Rule.
Midnight Express vs The R & Rs: Gonna give R & Rs a pity vote as requested by Seph. Even though I have never seen them. FTR vs Sheepherders: Why wouldn't you call them The Bushwhackers? Had to go look them up to see who they were.... Giving it to FTR cause they are so good together. New Day vs Road Warriors: Been thinking about Dudleyz/Usos for awhile that I neglected this one... both are great, but gotta give the edge to Road Warriors for just looking so damn cool. New Day, while great, look like a bunch of goofs and can't compete with that. Dudleyz vs The Usos: The match I've been thinking about the most... Usos one of the best of all time. HOWEVER... I don't see them having the "importance" and "significance" of the Dudleyz. I remember in TNA when Team 3D showed up and it was a "big deal", and they won the titles and it was a "big deal" cause of them winning titles in every major company (technically winning the WCW ones in WWF as part of the Invasion).... I remember them facing a reunited Steiner Brothers and even as late in their careers as it was it was like "this feels like an epic encounter". Usos, while great, I can't imagine going to another company and being treated as "legends" who could have "epic dream matches". Not yet anyways. Jerry Lawler and Bill Dundee vs Rock n Roll Express: Dunno. Never seen one team, and haven't seen much of the other. World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood: WGTT weren't really together long enough to really make an impact I think... They were good for sure, but overall think their legacy is lacking. Never seen the other team, though. Megapowers vs. Powers of Pain: On the flip side of not being together long enough.... Megapowers weren't together very long but managed to make a huge impact. Mainly cause of Explosion.... but everyone remembers the team. So giving it to them. |

Normally I’m totally with your posts, Lock Jaw, but the Freebirds have way more about them than the Freebird Rule.
And the Sheepherders are the Sheepherders in this because that is when they had all their best matches and bloody brawls. The Bushwhackers were their dialed down, more cartoony WWF personas. You also had Rip Morgan and Jonathan Boyd in there at times. |

On the next draw post, I am going to have a poll on it. It's going to be about having an undercard for the Quarters, Semis, and Finals.
The undercard would theoretically have tag team matches for some Glaring Omissions that I can personally curate (for example Blackjacks vs the Funks, Masters of the Powerbomb vs Megabucks, and Foreign Legion vs the Koloffs), a Bronze Medal Match between the losers of the Semi final matches, and Mulkeymania (I am thinking against the Galaxians, the State Patrol, and the Jive Tones.) |

Round 2 concludes with the following winners:
Hardys Midnight Express FTR Dudleyz Road Warriors Rock n Roll Express World's Greatest Tag Team Megapowers I am gonna set up the new draw in a moment with a poll. I will be doing all the draws at one time, after work. I'd like to draw it out, but shit happens. |
