I strongly dislike The Seahawks. I need Aaron Rodgers to do me a favor.

Wow people don't waste time jumping on the 'blame Manning' bandwagon, while totally ignoring that the Colts defense played some spectacular football today.

In fact he still has 1 fewer playoff win in 7 years (10) than Manning in his 15 years and the same number of rings. |

Fuck it, O-line was spectacular too. Protected Luck for the first time all season.

Hoping now for a Green Bay/Indy Super Bowl now just for something different but I'm sure seeds will hold form next week and we get Seattle/Pats

Would be crazy if Manning's last game is a loss to Luck and the Colts.

Offensive line as well since they did a great job protecting Luck. No sacks allowed and gave him plenty of time for several big plays.

When was the last time Peyton didn't make the playoffs or even needed someone to lose to get in? Even with some of those teams not being terribly talented especially on the defensive side of the ball? |

He's also won a few AFC Championship games, which are pretty big too. It's basically what people do when they've decided they wanna hate a QB and they'll stop at nothing to convince themselves he's garbage. The fact that Peyton HAS won big games though, makes it even more silly.

Just dropped a "hefty sum" on a teaser bet for next week... Packers +16.5 and Colts +14
Hope I don't punch myself in the ballsaq` for that |

I always thought that Peyton would finish the last 2 years of his contract. But something clearly happened to him late in the year. And now Gase and possibly Fox leaving. I don't see him going through a new coach and coordinator just to play one more year.
Really shit way to go out if that was it. |

He isn't garbage. He's the best regular season quarterback ever. He is somewhat inconsistent in high stakes games, is all.

Peyton's problem is having way too many "one and done's" and having the bulk being at home. He has a couple of big game wins but too few for someone of his status in the GOAT talk.
9 "one and done" losses (next closest is 4) and 6 playoff home losses (next closet is 3). That and he's like a Bizzaro Flacco when it comes to playoff records. Flacco has a lot of road playoff wins while Peyton has a lot of home playoff losses. |

It just seems funny to me that it's such a knock on him by his haters. If he doesn't make the playoffs at all those 9 years, or even half of them, I don't think he gets the same flack. Despite it being a much worse thing to do. It doesn't make sense.
Like I said, I'll take the guy who HAS shown he can win big games but also loses a lot because he's so fucking good in the regular season that he has a shitload of opportunities over the guy who has won a higher percentage of playoff games but struggles to make the playoffs in order to play the big games to begin with. And also struggles to get a bye when he does get there while the other usually gets to skip the wild card round. And again, that's not even factoring in that the second guy who struggles in the regular season has had much better teams surrounding him than the other one did for most of those one and dones. |

If Flacco wasn't such a choke artist last night, this would be a home game.

I agree. To an extent at least. You still have to factor in the teams surrounding him. Dan Marino belongs in that conversation regardless of his lack of rings. But when someone tries to argue someone who isn't remotely in the ballpark of a Peyton Manning as far as just playing the QB position like a fucking beast simply because they have as many or more rings or playoff wins, it's a joke. There are guys who make teams a contender on a yearly basis and there are guys who piggyback, and even then, fail at times.
The 2011 Colts season alone and how it compares to the previous 10 years should be enough to tell you Peyton Manning is a fucking God who belongs in a discussion only with the greatest QBs of all time. |

Went Full Heel Heisenberg hosting a bunch of Cowboys fans at my house yesterday, even though the Remorseful Heisenberg inside thought that Dez caught the ball. Even in my darkest moments I had some regret about crotch chopping my friends

I love the move. Just wish he got Trestman as his OC like he wanted. Ryan is my favourite coach in the NFL, I think. May have to check out a Bills game next season.

Why not hire Peyton has your OC if your Elway. I think that makes sense. I don't see Peyton being an analyst on TV. |

Maybe Peyton will take a cushy TV job if he retires for a year just to rest his weary bones (lol 39 being "old") and then return to the sidelines at some point. I can't see him not coaching in some capacity ever, but no idea if that's what he wants right away
