Attendance can also lie. Some people go to shows just because they are live. PPV is a similar thing, since it is a “digital ticket.” It does imply people are paying for the product, but it can also depend on frequency, competition and the focus you put on them. It’s a combination of things, and the growth over time that will probably best tell you how “hot” you actually are.

527k for Battle of the Belts II is pretty piss-poor. Unless it’s an entirely fresh 527k to add onto Dynamite and Rampage, but that isn’t likely the case.

This is a regular one from you. I think the point being that the 3rd hour drags the overall rating down, and without it they’d be doing even better. I actually think that might be true, however, they do have a third hour so you can’t just factor it out. They agreed to produce a 3 hour show. Maybe they should make a 3 hour show that’s interesting for 3 hours, then we don’t need to even consider adjusting for the third hour. Gotta judge the product as is.

I say that mostly facetiously for the folks who think Dynamite is in any way approaching Raw in any fairly comparable sense. And while I agree with you that a 3-hour Raw is a problem they realistically have to deal with, each hour is actually registered as its own thing. Combining them and averaging them out is a dirt sheet thing designed to make them look way more unimpressive. It’s as fair to take those first two prime time hours, and I’ve even jokingly compared the Rampage rating to the third hour rating. Because why not?

And I’m sure cumdorx is stating nonsense, Wednesday night Dynamite was announced in July of 2019. The earliest I can find the NXT to USA announcement was the same month but most articles I’m finding are in august of that year.

Regardless, it’s not a coincidence. Why would WWE move a show against a competitor marketing to the same audience and have to fight for viewers when Tuesdays was right there the whole time and they moved there anyways? There’s only one logical answer but dorx is too busy getting dragged by fan to admit that clearly obvious answer.

I’m sure counter-programming was a happy little byproduct of airing Wednesdays (which worked, by the way — AEW is cold), but WWE clearly operates for profits first. Getting NXT on television was a way to make up for the costs the Performance Center runs up.

TV deals don’t happen overnight. WWE has a lot of sway with USA, sure, but they’ve got to have a programming schedule too. It’s AEW-centric myth that this was all about them. If Rhodes to the Top was still on, people would claim that WWE was doing the Graves & Carmella show to spite AEW.

WWE Evil? I’m sure that’s there so that AEW can’t do something on some night too.

NXT debuted on USA 2 weeks before Dynamite doofus, so even that argument is dumb. Why did you ignote part 5, the one where AEW legally Trademarked a day NOT called Wednesday for Dynamite?

If Vince has that power that he can just tell a Network when to air his show and how much they have to pay him to do so, why does Vince not have 7 different shows worth a Billion dollars each?

You talk about logic, would that not be logical? WWE is doing record business for their content, but they just don't feel like making another $5 billion? Seems like if Vince can just tell a Network he wants a show and poof, it is on the air, it is only logical that he would just tell TV Networks to air more of his shows?

I only fiddled with the ignore feature years ago. Never actually used it. The idea of someone “flexing” that they have someone on ignore and then clicking “view post” to view the posts anyway is hilarious on many different levels though.

I used to do this, but I also have an impulsive nature. I won’t be able to ignore certain spouts of stupidity. So I do it to edify myself too.
