Great main event segment. Again, so glad the Hardys didn’t get in the way.

Good show tonight. I’m not a fan of Ortiz losing the hair match and the way it perpetuates the idea that a white man’s hair is of more value than a Mexican’s, or whatever the hell he is, but other than that good show, Tanahashi and so on.

Holy fucking idiots at Ospreay vs. Cassidy. And none of the matches actually grab my attention or make me want to see them. |

If you didn't know the two guys who Lambert sent in for Wardlow were former UFC Welterweight Champions Tyron Woodley and UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes. The guys struggling to walk was Hughes who several years ago was hit by a train in his car and should have died. His recovery is a miracle.
Not that he had anyplace on the show but it was good to see him happy, he was loving it. |

Im sure Ospreay vs Cassidy will be fine as a match, but jesus what a waste. With all the talent you have that could have serious bangers with Ospreay, you pick him?
Rosa vs Storm is odd too. Would have been cool to see someone from Stardom come in, since its owned by the same parent company as NJPW. They could have at least gotten someone from TJP, since they have the new deal with DDT. Miyu Yamashita vs Rosa could have been good. |

I wasn't disappointed with OC against Ospreay. That will be a great match. I'd much rather have seen Ospreay challenge Kenny Omega but that wasn't in the cards.

The 6-man they alluded to with Jericho and Kingston didn't make any sense to me.

Jericho said he thought he was going to get the spot that Mox got but he's good with it. He said Blood and Guts is three days after the PPV so whatever happens at the PPV with him has to lead to blood and guts so the multiman makes sense.
But my thing is that its AEW, it doesn't have to make sense. We should be getting something better for Jericho and Kingston who is obsessed with Japanese wrestling. |

You could have chosen anybody. But hey, New Japan is in on this too. With the women, I can see New Japan wanting AEW to handle that side of things almost exclusively. |

Kingston should be in a stiff fest with Ishii.
I’m glad Toni Storm got a big win. I’m bummed she’ll be eating a big loss a few weeks later. Dax v Ospreay was the match of the night. But then we’re getting Ospreay v Cassidy and that feels like a waste. We should be bring Ospreay v Darby instead. Ospreay needs a bigger match than a comedy act and him and Darby would be fun. Get Adam Cole off my screen. And wtf at Okada possibility not showing up? That’s one of the reasons I’m buying the show. Not gonna lie, was hoping we’d hear “ARE YOU READY FOR THIS!?” blare through the arena for the save against Ospreay and co, but alas. Main event ruled. Crazy pace. Bucks winning leads me to believe they’ll be dropping the belts back to FTR to complete their series. Heel Christian is going to be fun and it’s going to elevate jungle Jack. Right on time for a match at All Out justt over a year after jungle boy beat Christian and started the run he’s been on since last year. Way better booking this week. |

So I guess Okada's wife is seven months pregnant. With Japan still taking Covid very seriously, and the U.S. being very lax about it, I can definitely see him being afraid to travel at this moment.

Sabre called out Danielson after dominion. Heres hoping theres something to that and not just Zack talking about it like KENTA talked about Punk. Would be match of the night, easy.

That main event is everything that's wrong with the worst of AEW's "top tier talent" like the Young Bucks. There was a broken table spot every 60 seconds, but nobody sold a damn thing, everybody popping back up like it was a scoop slam or a snap suplex, no selling the shit out of the entire gimmick.
It just leads to the entire business getting buried and makes everything mean nothing. Diving elbow drop from the top rope through a table? Both guys back up and fighting in a manner of minutes like nothing happened. Stupid. Hooray Young Bucks are champions. Who cares? Elevate an entertaining team like the Acclaimed. Give us something worthwhile to care about. |

I can’t find myself caring about Ladder Matches anymore. Can’t someone try and climb the ladder to win? I’m trying to put myself back in 2005-2010 when I couldn’t get enough to empathise with people in that spot now. But I just don’t understand how you can’t be desensitized to this stuff now. What about it can be considered “shocking?”
Shelton Benjamin at least changed the game in 2005 when he ran up that ladder in the original Money in the Bank. And the next year when he ran up one to flip outside. And at Mania 24 when he went through the ladder bridge. But now those things have become cliches. And it extends back to the wrestling in general. It’s governed by these super-obvious tropes that I just can’t believe fans will to work on them. |
