Should I buy a $97 dollar iPhone?
Wal-Mart is offering the 3GS for $97 dollars. I have no idea what that means. Is this a good deal? If so, is it still easy to unlock the iPhone? I am concerned that I will fuck it up and turn the thing into an expensive desk weight. How does this work? Do I continue to use my existing plan on my network on the iPhone? Give me all the details.

It's $97 with a two-year contract, isn't it?

I don't know. I thought you just showed up and bought it and then "unlocked" it for use on another carrier. I have no idea what anything means.
Edit: Yes, you must buy a two-year contract. Next question: how do I get out of the two-year contract while avoiding the fees after purchasing the iPhone? Somebody told me it could be done if you told them you were moving to a place where they didn't offer service. I have no idea if that is legit. Last edited by thedamndest; 05-25-2010 at 07:24 PM. |
