He tries too hard to outsmart the audience in this one. I like his unique approach to his movies but this one seemed like he wanted to be TOO clever.
SPOILER: show The music/action sequences were great as always with him though. Last edited by Destor; 09-06-2020 at 07:12 PM. |

I'm going to see this on Friday. I think this might be the first time I've been to the cinema since October last year.

Same, El Vaq. So far, no seats other than my lone purchase have been reserved. I may very well get to watch this by myself.

I checked my showing and I'm currently the only person booked for it at the moment. I've loved it on the rare occasion when I've had an auditorium to myself.

Checked my showing and I'm still the only one booked in for it. Glorious.

There were only 4 other people in the theater. They were in groups of 2. The closest people to me were 8 seats away in the same aisle.

It was interesting, beautifully shot and choreographed. But it was hard to follow because the dialogue is drowned out by the music and sound effects.

It sounds like a film I will hate.
I don't like audio fuckery. |

I guess I had similar qualms in "Interstellar" and "Dunkirk". But it did make for some epic scenes.

Dunkirk may be the most forgettable film I have ever seen, which is quite a feat for a film based upon history that is rather well known.

I think I refused to see Dunkirk because it has Harry Stiles in it, which for some reason irked my sensibilities. Does he have a big part in the film? If not, I may consider watching it after all, unless the audio mixing is as atrocious as it is in Tenet.

Opinions don't need backing, they are free. That you feel owed an explanation without providing any opposition beyond your own opinion is truly a delicious little morsel of hypocrisy. But you're drunk so whatever. |

I'm talking about Tenet. You're talking about my sobriety. Take it to another thread you moron.

For the record, harbour no ill-will against RP, just couldn't resist the pun.
The movie Dunkirk.... it looked beautiful, but the actual story was "meh" |

I mean, the story is based on a true story. It really happened. It was a fantastic movie. I'm not ready to put it above Saving Private Ryan, and i've yet to see 1917 which I hear is amazing, but it was fantastic.

Yeah, I know it is a true story (and an interesting one). Just the way that it was presented in the movie didn't grip me.
I'd still put Dunkirk above Tenet in my Nolan rankings, though, just for the visuals. |
