at the crowd during the draft.
Booed Goodell when he's about to make the Broncos pick announcement, cheered when it was a Make A Wish kid instead, and then went right back to booing Goodell once the kid was done. |

Reading the takes from all of the Giants' beat guys. It just sounds like they were flat out unprepared for the possibility of Floyd and Conklin both being gone. I mean, I get it. The Tunsil thing completely threw their plans out of whack. Tunsil would have definitely gone to Baltimore had he not screwed up (they've come out and said Stanley was always ahead of Tunsil on their boards, but I'll bet that's bollocks. Every team says that) and the Titans were said to have Stanley on their board ahead of Conklin, so if they had traded up it'd have probably been for Stanley.
Weird set of circumstances but still no excuse to not have a real plan C. Even though I've shat on the pick I of course hope Apple plays well and makes me feel like an idiot but he still just seems like way too much of a developmental pick to take in the top 10. Here's hoping the Giants can actually get some value out of their mid round picks this year. |

Broncos get their guy in Paxton Lynch. I feel much better now.
Now he's gotta win the job from Sanchize. |

I don't know anything about Ronnie Stanley, but this means Eugene Monroe is gone so that's a plus!

Browns could take him first pick tonight and he'll be the 32nd pick.

If Jack is healthy, the Jags have already won the 2016 NFL Draft.

Sterling Shepard. Guess it's good to get another slot option as I have zero faith in Cruz staying healthy.

Pats have the next two picks. Wonder if they will have two special presenters or just one announcing both.

Probably would have went with a RB instead of a CB if the goal was to trade away the other 2nd Round pick for the Pats.
At least the guy they grabbed was one of their top targets for the draft according to ESPN's Pats reporter on Twitter. Also at ESPN for completely ignoring who the Pats drafted on Twitter. Announced the Bucs pick at 59, didn't bother with the Pats pick, then announced the Saints pick at 61. |

Pats probably decided to just have the pick be announced and not have a big deal with Gooddell being on stage.

ESPN did it again with the Pats pick in the 3rd.
Pats picking a guard was a bit odd considering their main needs although they do need some big fixes for the O-line |

Well, it was Kevin Faulk with a Brady jersey for the 2nd round. ESPN should be expelled from New England.

As long as he ends up somewhere and not as a free agent. Be a shame to see all his talent go to waste.
I've been wondering if maybe everybody's just turned off/slightly wary of him because of the thorough 38-0 drubbing MSU took at the hands of Alabama in the playoff semi. |

Hoping Denver picks up some good pieces on the final day today.
The Australian footballer they grabbed at 63 bothers me a bit. Don't know what Elway sees in him. |

Would like to see Dallas select WR Pharoh Cooper out of South Carolina with their next 4th round selection.

Wonder who the Pats would have drafted in the first round if they didn't lose it. Probably would have traded for more 2, 3 and 4s. Which they got alot back for trading the 2 they got from Arizona.

NFL Draft says Pats have gotten all of their needs met except for a RB. They don't have a pick until 6th and 7th rounds now.

Cowboys got Dak Prescott out of Mississippi State. Think he's a great pick to set and learn for a few years. Don't believe he's Romos replacement though as I could see them picking a QB in drafts to come. Don't have any picks until the 6th round where they have 4.

Probably Seattle's OT or one of the DTs picked by the Cards and Panthers taken in the 1st Round.

Giants just wrapped up their draft in the sixth round. Some quick thoughts:
Round 1: Eli Apple, CB, Ohio State: I thought it was a big reach to take him tenth and I stand by that. That being said, the Giants were met with the worst case scenario with teams jumping in front of them to take their top two targets, and apparently they asked too much to move back. You do need three quality CBs in today's NFL, and he'll slot in on the nickel position this year so hopefully his weaknesses can be masked there early on. Round 2: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma: Really like this pick. His best fit does seem to be the slot, which is good because you have to view anything they get out of Cruz this year as a bonus. If both guys compete for playing time, it's a good problem to have. Sprinkle in Dwayne Harris who contributed way more in the passing game than I ever would have expected last year and they might have themselves a nice crop of receivers not named OBJ for Eli to throw to. Round 3: Darian Thompson, S, Boise State: Said it last night but he could very well be their starting FS in Week 1. Landon Collins badly needs to be switched to the strong side, and drafting Thompson might give them the opportunity to do that. And he was getting mid-second round grades on a lot of boards. Round 4: B.J. Goodson, LB, Clemson: The word on him seems to be that he's sound against the run but poor against the pass. Sounds like every LB Reese has brought in the last few years. But he plays inside and anybody has to be better than Uani 'Unga. He could be another Week 1 starter. Round 5: Paul Perkins, RB, UCLA: Reading up on him it sounds like he might be a steal. Rashad Jennings looked good late last year but is 31 years old, so I understand bringing in some help. If he gets Andre Williams off the roster then I'm totally happy with this move. Round 6: Jerrell Adams, TE, South Carolina: This guy is built like a power forward. The only consistency the Giants have had at TE the past few years was Larry Donnell dropping 25 passes a game, so maybe Adams can change that and be a legitimate weapon. I'm shocked the Giants didn't get a lineman considering that the right side is still a big question mark with a human turnstile like Marshall Newhouse slated to start at RT, but clearly they just weren't all that sold on anybody except for Conklin this year. I think Apple may be the one I have the biggest issues with, actually. Everybody else seems like they could be at least good value. Aside from 2007 Reese has been flat out awful drafting outside of the first round so hopefully the class of 2016 can change that trend. |

No runningback for the Pats in the draft. Do they think Deon Lewis and Blount will be able to bounce back from the injuries? Strange.

Looks like a solid draft by the Broncos. Grabbed a quarterback and runningback, defense the rest of the way.

Ridiculous that it took until the 100th pick for Cook to finally be drafted, but I guess better late than never.

Judging from Mayor Goodman has been saying, unless some big snafu comes up, it's a given the Raiders are moving to Vegas.
