Chris Jericho goes full AEW Cringe
https://www.tpww.net/2019/01/chris-j...-up-his-pants/
So Jericho is in charge of AEW talent signing apparently and is burying talent. Also for him to call out Lesnars body is laughable. Jericho was never cut, looks like a bloated alcoholic, and is gonna say Brock Lesnar has a gut. He is gripping so hard right now, and it is embarrassing. Go have another drink Jericho. |

Who said I took it personally? I said it was cringey for Jericho to bury Ryder and Breeze, and for him of all people to call Lesnar fat.

No actual hatred for AEW. Just all the nutting in people's pants before a single show.
As for Jericho, I stand by it. He isn't an AEW exec, so he shouldn't be burying guys like Breeze and Ryder. Considering AEW's big selling point is treating wrestlers better and giving an alternative to WWE, I think it is distasteful for Jericho to say "we don't want them". The Lesnar thing is just annoying cause it's so hypocritical. Lesnar on his worst day is more jacked then Jericho has ever been. That would be like Sasha Banks calling out Charlotte Flair for having small tits. |

Good on you for going down with the boat, I guess, but you don't know what Jericho's role is or isn't with the promotion. He could be very involved in the recruiting process. Could it be that Jericho is setting up things for Ryder (who Cody has said he wants) and/or Breeze (who is a student of Lance Storm's)? Could he be simply stirring the pot? Maybe he was being genuine? Fuck, I wouldn't be building a promotion around Zack Ryder or Tyler Breeze. It's not an insane statement to make. Re: Lesnar, Jericho could just be taking an ironic shot. He could be sideways pandering to the audience that critiques him for staying the same. He could just be ribbing the guy because they've apparently almost come to blows a few times and have probably got residual tensions or have smoothed it out but whatever. You're way looking into this man. |

Even though I've stated before I like the idea of another company, and even corrected you in this thread that I do not have hatred for AEW, you still feel the need to to go defensive against anybody who hasn't fully embraced every aspect and performer and statement made by said performers. Just because I'm 90% in on AEW, instead of blindly ALL IN, suddenly I hate AEW and want it to fail? Come on man. Jericho is feeding into that portion of the crowd is what it is, but from the point of view of somebody not blindly loyal, Jericho burying talents and calling anybody fat is ridiculous. |

And read my posts about WWE, I talk about the dumb shit they do as well, all the time in fact. But I say something about AEW, and all of a sudden I'm not just wrong, I am just making the posts for the heck of it? Thinking that shows your AEW bias, not mine. |

You’ve been criticizing everything in the AEW thread. It’s not just Jericho. I didn’t say you didn’t criticize WWE too. You’re just overly critical of people’s reasonable enthusiasm about something new. And you sure went out of your way to make this post instead of just plopping it in the AEW thread, so I don’t really know if it’s my bias out of control here.

It's annoying when fanboys get overtly hysterical, but when a wrestler gets drunk and goes full cringe, it's worse. Jericho is such good friends with Impact execs, you would think somebody would have told him going out of your way to bury WWE doesn't actually make your company any better. It's like getting so upset that somebody isn't fawning completely over AEW that you would edit their post to a poopoo joke. Yeah, that isn't bias at all... |

No one is saying it's the best thing ever. People have said things like "competition would be the best thing for WWE, so I hope this gets off the ground," but you're just getting annoyed and taking gripes with straw-men and your own aspergions. |

Dude, we can do this all day. It’s cyclical. No one seems to think they are that stupid other than you, who obsessively made a thread looking way too into them. You were shut down in the other thread and had to invent boogey men to rally against. Just stop.

How was I "shut down"? You mean when you changed my post to a poo poo joke? God forbid me for not thinking WWE asking a few people acting like assholes to leave wasn't really because WWE is afraid of AEW. All I said then, that you changed cause it didn't fit the "Pro AEW" narrative is that the assholes took no responsibility for getting kicked based on their own actions, and blamed it on what they were wearing. FYI, there was VERY CLEARLY 2 or 3 guys wearing AEW stuff last night at Smackdown. They weren't kicked out. They weren't asked to change despite being in the hard camera side in like the 5th row. You know why? It's cause they weren't acting like assholes. I had to "invent boogeymen"? Yeah you are right, I created the booze that got Jericho all liquored up, and I invented Twitter, and I invented a 50 year old fat guy making fun of somebody for being fat. That was all me. You, like Jericho, are going full AEW cringe. Look at this objectively. If Randy Orton went on Twitter and brought back his "Dive" take and said "All Elite Dive Wrestling", then you would have no problem disliking it, because it's going after your "Bae" promotion. That is the difference. I see the stupid tweets for what they are, stupid tweets. Randy Orton says that again tomorrow, and I'll say it is a stupid take. You see the tweets Jericho made as "yes I love everything AEW and being on their nuts is the best, and anybody who thinks even slightly different is lying for their own cynical agenda!" Just because I want AEW to succeed doesn't mean I can't tell when a wrestler is drunk running his mouth like a hypocrite. |

WWE clearly doesn't want people wearing AEW merchandise into their shows. Didn't a video recently surface of them making a dude change? You just make stuff up all over the place. And you can say that they obviously don't want rival promotions' stuff at their shows, but it really is about what the people are wearing. You say very clearly, but you can't tell if it was 2 or 3 guys. Interesting. When I talk about you inventing boogeymen, I am talking about your irrational take-down of people's enthusiam. "Oh, people are talking about it like it's the best thing ever when it hasn't even done a show yet." That was explained to you. People are excited about the potential of a promotion with money. They are that desperate for something different that isn't a TNA or ROH. They're not claiming that it is going to kill Vince or anything like that. But you have to act like you are allergic to their "AEW cringe." Jericho may have been drunk, or he may have been doing a Jericho. Plenty of people addressed the points in here -- you're making a big fucking deal about nothing. Who really does want Zack Ryder or Tyler Breeze? Who doesn't think the WWE is boring as shit? People are sick of Brock Lesnar and Jericho was taking funny jabs at a dude he has worked with/clashed with personally. They're probably laughing about it or shrugging it off. It's not the big deal you're making it out to be. And no, I love it when Orton mocks shits like Bully Ray and the indy dudes who do dives. That is not my style. You're projecting again and making up boogeymen to knock down. And that's what I'm talking about -- we keep going back and forth. I'm going to say you're being completely unreasonable and not looking at what people's hopes and expectations for this actually are, and you're going to say "Look! Jericho's an asshole! Look at him tweet! Look at it!" |

To be fair, Jericho does love the sound of his own voice and he probably was drunk.
