I haven't dived through this thread but I highly recommend Tacoma FD. Easy watch comedy. Great for when you just want to turn your brain off and chill. From two of the guys in Super ztroopers.

Finished the first season of Reacher. I watched it across a couple of days.

I've never read the books, but it seemed more convincing than the Tom Cruise films.

Yeah I finished it today too.

The violence was pretty note-perfect. He actually fights just like he does in the books which really caught me off guard and impressed me. The dialogue is pretty basic, hokey stuff but admittedly Alan Ritchson was just a perfect choice for the role with his ability to look so sincere no matter how ludicrous the scenario.
Hopefully they do a few more because this will have an audience after the Tom Cruise version. It’s far more in line with the writing and there’s no metaphor in his size, he really is an unstoppable force.

It’s good for what it is, but it isn’t doing anything new by any means.

It's so great. Looking at the league of legends character page, it looks like this is just one small corner of this universe, so if they can keep up this level of quality with other stories in the franchise, it's going to be incredible.

Watching "Murderville" on Netflix.... Will Arnett is always great....

Partners with a different "celebrity" every episode to "solve a murder"... the celebrities don't have a script and it is all improv...

Just watched episode where his partner was Kumail Nanjiani and gotta say that Kumail was super terrible at it.... like "refused" to go along with the improv a lot of the time, and continually just broke and cracked up...... episode before had "Marshawn Lynch" who is apparently some sort of football player I guess, and he was better at it than the professional actor....

Will Arnett still makes it enjoyable though....

Finished watching Sharp Objects; a limited HBO drama starring Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson. The story revolves around Adams' character returning to her home town to report on the murder of two young girls. A secondary theme examines her troubled relationship with her mother, and unresolved issues surrounding the death of one of her younger sisters, which plays into the main story arc.

There is an unsettling feel throughout the series, and the story develops very slowly, but I also found myself rather drawn into it as well. If you are patient, I think you will dig it.

The UK version is far, far better.

Murderville is an embarrassment to the franchise. It’s not even real improv and they’re using the wrong sort of celebrity. You want reality TV stars and TV presenters, not film stars and comedians, they try to take over. The UK version is almost entirely unscripted, they just run with a plot outline and improvise the entire show. It’s classic. That they fucked up the US version is pretty incredible given how ludicrously cheap the original must have been to make.

Read the Wiki of the original UK version and it said that it is half about actors playing versions of celebrities and that sounds hellish.....

Murder In Successville wasn’t just about improv, it was about improv in a ridiculous environment wherein a town is run by celebrities in positions of power and people keep dying in nutty ways.

Peacemaker ended as brilliantly as it began, and must be the most outright enjoyable DC production ever made. That was pure entertainment from top to bottom and it blended genres beautifully.
The Nolan Batman films are the best action DC has ever produced, Joker was the best drama, The Suicide Squad has to be the best comedy and Shazam! is the best offering for kids but this is the best overall. I really do love James Gunn.

Watched Ozark. Man they need to hurry up and drop the second half of the final season. These hos left me hanging.

Exceptional show (Miss Maisel). Hard to imagine that it's the same writer/creator/showrunner as Gilmore Girls (though it's easy to believe when you notice the rhythmic, pitter-patter nature of the dialogue.)

Found it hit and miss... some eps I really liked and others were meh....

Only seen like two episodes of the animated one... just wasn't the same...

Covered an graduation ceremony where Eric Peterson got an honourary degree and said words to the graduates... kept waiting for him to call them jackasses but he did not...

Yeah the animated show isn't very good. I watched the movie and it was sad seeing Emma (Janet Wright) on a scooter. She passed away shortly after.

Finished the first season of Mayor of Kingstown.

I enjoy Taylor Sheridan's ability to create shows that are full of arsehole characters that are also very watchable.

Once the final episode is out (tomorrow), I will watch another Sheridan show: 1883.
