Raw. But I became a fan when WCW was already basically dead and buried. I caught one Nitro of Scott Steiner yelling and would get a few WCW PPVs on VHS.

I watched the shit out of both, but was more WCW oriented until around Wrestlemania 15 then I watched both about equally I think. By 2000 I was much more into the WWF, but in 1999 I was still really into WCW, I know the narrative now is that that was a disaster year for them, but at the time I didn't really notice.

I was a RAW guy from the start. Remember when they used to get pre-empted for the Wesminster Dog Show?
I didn't watch much Nitro, mainly because I wasn't too into breaking habit. I remember seeing the premere in the mall with the Lex return. I would occasionally switch channels when RAW got super long-winded (it wasn't as often back then), but most of the time, I was greeted with a jobber vs jobber match and changed back (though one of those times paid off, as I saw the debut of Goldberg - I thought Hugh Morrus was *obviously* going to win over this no-name, generic looking guy...) It wasn't until later I became aware of the re-run later in the night, and after I learned that, watching Nitro became both attainable and dismissed as any priority. I could watch RAW front to back, then stay up (or tape) Nitro after. |

I was always Raw, WCW was just kind of there for me but they never had anything that hooked me long term.
Even when something cool would happen, they would have no follow up or anything long term plan wise. Goldberg was a cool segment, but it was like 5 minutes of a 3 hour show. Nitro ran for 6 years, and I think I would have a hard time picking 10 great moments over that entire run. As bad as Raw gets, I wouldn't have a hard time picking 10 great moments per year. WWE does just enough, and has for 25 years of Raw, to keep me coming back every week. |

I was a WWF fan before Nitro and Raw were about. Stopped watching in 1993. Then was flicking through the channels and saw Hogan dressed in black and was like WTF is this. Then saw more ex WWF stars on WCW. From then on I was Nitro until 2000. Although I still watched some Raw in 1998/99 but WCW was my first choice.

From when Nitro started until early 98 I watched both each week. Gave up on WCW. Kept watching Raw,but at the time AAA and Cmll were much better. By late 99 I would skip Raw lots of weeks but never missed the Lucha block on Galavision.
