Spitting Image was a big deal in the 80's when the media still held at least some respect for the political establishment.

Now because of shows like that, nobody does anymore. The cat was let out of the bag a long time ago.

Furthermore you cannot satirise Donald Trump.
He is too flagrantly ridiculous to be mocked on that level. If you want to take the piss out of Trump you have to beat him in an election and not be an insane old maniac for a whole week. If nothing burns down in that time you have successfully zinged the Prez.
