LOL that rules, about that one game with the SS.
In avatar on, it's quite easy to hit 800-1000 with Grub's SS. Of course, that's if you're decked out with attack gear. Not sure what the max is on av off |

Yeah I used to go to gunbound-hq, but their site is being redone and they don't have the tank database back up yet.
Which is silly, since like 3 days ago the owner was bitching and crying that he was going to quit the site since Gunbound hasn't been updated well in months. |

You get the same bonus for straight killing someone as bungeing them so it's not a huge deal.

Wow. I joined a game that was...
Silver battleaxe+ Red Hole (for whatever reason the wand things are called "Hole"s in the ranking screen ) Blue Hole Double silver axe My allies were: Double metal axe Silver axe Double stone hammer Battleaxe (me) So basically, it was a squash match. Sadly, they won it, 1-0. At one point we were actually winning 4-2, as well. Would've been piss funny if we won that. Should've gotten a screenshot. |

Oh well on the subject of beating pros:
I actually DID win that game too. Looking through my screenshots, I found one of me getting 1770 gold in one game. And here I was thinking 1619 was my personal high.. |

Oh yeah, I'm all about the Mage. I probably have at least 300 wins with that bot.
I'm leaning more and more towards Trico lately though. His shot 2 is just so damn awesome. |

What's Trico's SS?
Is it as good as Grubs? |

I don't use Trico's SS much, to be honest. I mean, for the delay (around 1300), it's much better off to just dual shot 2. Trico's SS at most I've seen, does 400 max. If you land all 3 cabbages of shot 2, you can easily do over 300. Dual that and you got nearly 700.
I'd say yes and no as to how good it is compared to Grub's. "Good" because it's a lot easier to aim with (they don't have to be in a hole or anything), and it does a lot of ground damage. That helps for bunging, but again, shot 2 is still more effective imo. It's also "bad" because of the lack of damage it does. Overall I'd say Grub's was more useful. |

I never got this whole "delay" thing.
Please explain? |

Well, every turn you take, you add a certain amount of delay. It's a number, that determines what the turn order will be.
At the beginning of the game, every player has a delay of 0. So the menu at the bottom left will look like, for instance, if I was in a game: debilio +0 TheMackem +0 tonavin 0 MikeMetalEd +0 The +/- indicates whether the other players have MORE or LESS delay than you. Since you all have 0 at the start, it just says +0 for everyone. Now say in that scnario, Ant is using Mage and fires off his shot 1. Assuming he takes 2 seconds to aim and properly adjust (every second of your turn adds 10 delay to your total), he will shoot and have a delay of 770. Mage's base delay for shot 1 is 750, plus the 20 from his actual waiting (10 per second), and thus the 770. So now the bottom left thing will read: TheMackem +0 tonavin 0 MikeMetalEd +0 debilio +770 Then say Mackem is using Boomer and fires off a shot 2 (890 delay), with a 1 second adjustment time, for a delay of 900. The screen, from MY point of view, would then look like: tonavin 0 MikeMetalEd +0 debilio +770 TheMackem +900 On Ant's screen though, since he already went and has more than a 0 delay, his list will show this: tonavin -770 MikeMetalEd -770 debilio 770 TheMackem +130 And so on and so forth. The most important thing to remember when reading the delay list is that the numbers there are RELATIVE to your delay. So if somebody has a delay listed as "-1000" to you (if you just used a SS or something), then they use a dual shot 2 (which would give them a delay of around 1500), their delay would now be "+500", relative to whatever your delay was at the time. It's confusing to get the hang of, but once you see how it works it isn't too bad. The delay is the reason why some people can get two shots in on your one. Naturally, every bot's shot 1 has a shorter delay than its shot 2, which in turn has a shorter delay than its SS. Most bots have a delay of around 740-760 for their shot 1, and about 900 for their shot 2. SS's are around 1300 or so. Usually it's a good idea to not dual directly after somebody (unless Thor is out and you know you can finish them off). If someone duals you, you can almost ALWAYS get 2 turns before their next turn. For instance, consider this scenario: MikeMetalEd -230 tonavin 750 debilio +475 TheMackem +630 Okay so say Mike uses a dual shot 2 on his turn, and for example's sake it adds exactly 1500 to his current delay. So, after his shot, my list would look like so: tonavin 750 debilio +475 TheMackem +630 MikeMetalEd +1270 So now on my turn I have a couple options. Since his delay is so huge relative to mine, I can easily get 2 turns before he goes again. However, if I were to dual him immediately, I wouldn't get that advantage. Now say for instance I used my shot 2 (delay 900) on him, I would get to go again. He has 1270 delay more than me, so after my shot, his delay relative to mine would still be (1279 - 900 = 370) +370, so I would get a second turn before him. On that second turn, THAT would be a good time to use the dual. That way you effectively get 3 unanswered hits in on him, which when coupled with Thor or other teammates, will surely put them out of comission, or at least into the red. *hopes that helped rather than confused even more* |
