If the ending to this series doesn't have multiple possibilities, I am sure people will be outraged.

There is probably going to be at least 3 different endings with Shep either dying in a blaze of glory like the ending of Halo Reach, saves everyone and goes out as a hero, or if you were bad/mean to everyone in the series you get the horrible/worst ending.

Nah, there will be some badass Renegade ending. Why would they punish you for being the most badass savior of the universe ever? He was never a bad guy if you went Renegade. He was just a prick.

Based on a few leaks, it appears multiplayer will be the "killer new feature" Bioware had boasted last week about the game and just like every other EA published game, it will also have the mandatory EA Online Pass setup.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Multiplayer means less focus on polishing up the single player. The balancing could be a nightmare as well, with all the powers. It'd be better to do as a spinoff title. |

I would never play ME for multiplayer. I play for the experience of it all. The story.

Properly confirmed
Although they do say co-op "missions" and that it's "not what you fear" so sounds like it will be totally separate to the main game. |

The multiplayer affects the campaign somehow, but you don't miss any content by not playing it. They also used their Montreal studio to beef up resource so nothing was compromised. |

Beta got accidentally uploaded to Xbox Live Marketplace before getting quickly taken down but enough time passed for screen shots to be taken.
It appears some people noticed the conversation trees can be skipped or automated for responses instead of having to manually make a choice in the previous games. Bioware confirmed there are now 3 modes for gameplay. They also confirmed the leak occurred on Microsoft's side of the servers. Quote:

Apparently Bioware is having a lot of problems preventing parts of the story and other aspects of the game from being leaked and have gone as far as sending a cease and desist order to the Neogaf forums. Bioware's own Mass Effect 3 forums are having a similar problem with Bioware trying to delete or shut down topics involving the leaks.
Based on what some hackers found out, the story which was meant to finish the trilogy is in a huge mess. SPOILER: show It also appears the previously leaked 3 gameplay style modes are the main reason for the potential storyline mess. Quote:

The Citadel plot which was cut or reduced in Mass Effect 2 will return in Mass Effect 3. There was some potential plans for a DLC pack to improve the Citadel's role in the game but eventually got nixed by Bioware or EA.
In terms of storyline importance, it will be similar to Mass Effect 1 where it played a huge role in the game. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...del-plot-line/ |

Bioware states Mass Effect 3 will be a lot harder than the first 2 games and sort of requires the co-op missions to be played in order to help the solo campaign.

Sooooooo? What? Is that like code for leveling up is not enough or they're "turning the difficulty up to 11", or busting your ass ain't gonna be enough?
I'm kinda lost on this. |

I assume it means the carry over from ME1 or ME2 won't be of any real benefit (ex. ME2 starts at Level 5 if you had a ME1 save) and to make the game "longer" with the new difficulty spike. Might be related to how Halo's Legendary got tougher for each new game in the series (Reach gives an achievement for surviving Legendary by yourself).
They basically hinted in order to actually beat ME3's Veteran difficulty, you need to play the co-op missions to unlock some special benefits for solo. Its also their way of pushing the multiplayer aspect in a series that used to be solo-only. It won't because the "Horde" mode doesn't support split screen nor any local co-op from what was either revealed before or from the beta. |

3 guns and 1 type of armor has been set aside as the pre-order bonuses for the game although they come in packs of either the armor with Valkrine rifle or the shotgun with Argus rifle.

So did you guys blow up the Reaper/Collectors at the end or did you let Cerberus have the base?
Felt like it was a bad fucking idea, frankly. |

When I first beat Mass Effect 2, I was of the opinion that we need any advantage we can get against the reapers, so I kept it.
Now that it's turned out that Cerberus are full on bad guys, I'm just gonna destroy it. |

I didn't play ME1, but I noticed a lot of missions where I discovered fucked up shit that they had done as well as shit I found during the conversations I had with the crew.
I got the feeling that taking the Reaper tech was going to fuck us up in a variety of ways: 1. It'd allow Cerberus to take over the Galaxy and subjugate all aliens 2. It'd be an intentional trap just like the Collector IFF 3. It'd be the beginning of the end for humanity as the Reaper tech would transform us as a species I wasn't even really pissed when Miranda died during my end mission. I sided with Jack during their argument because...fuck...how do you let that kind of shit slide? I lost Miranda, Legion (even though he was loyal and straight-up perfect for the job in the ducts) and Zaeed or whatever his name was, I hated him anyways so it wasn't a big deal. I just hope I get to have Grunt on my team next game. Though I've heard that he won't be in it. |

I'm actually replaying the game now so that I can have a game save where everyone survives and is loyal to me. I think that Miranda may back-stab me in ME3, but I think there's potential for her being a good ally.
Plus, I heard Grunt isn't going to be a squad member in ME3 and Legion died inexplicably (he was LOYAL!) during the suicide mission. |

People like Grunt and Zaeed have more points than say Mordin or Legion. So basically, if you take Grunt and Zaeed in your squad with you, and have Garrus escorting all of your shipmates back to the Normandy, it leaves your line weak, opening up the possibility to have your team die. Hopefully that makes sense. |

My Hard Drive crashed and I lost my save files.
Any word on how this might load me into 3? Will they see I got the achievement for all living crew and import that into the newest game? I hope so, I dont want some generic shit. They should just have a template that you can answer questions for to set it up. 1) Kaiden or Ashley 2) Love Interest 3) Crew living. Just Big things like that. Sucks that My punching of the reporter in 2 games wont be imported. |

Pretty sure it's going to need your save file, just like ME2 needed your ME1 save.

It's weird the first time I played the game Miranda was like "I quit" to the Elusive Man. She didn't do that the second time I played. Was it just because she wasn't there in the final crew in the mission?

Wrong. If you didn't have a save from ME1 when starting a new ME2 game, it just asked you to create a new Cmdr. Shepard, although I don't remember if they showed a cinematic bringing you up to speed on the story after that or not. Pretty sure they'll do the same for ME3.

You can buy thing on Mass Effect 2 which goes through all the major decision points that you had to do in Mass Effect 1. Sort of runs like a movie.
Sure they will have the same thing for finale. |

I think the Genophage is going to be extremely important in the ME3. I just got back to that mission and played it differently, convinced Mordin to keep the work towards a cure. Krogan are going to be invaluable when facing the Reapers!

I redid the game and somehow lost Jack (couldn't get my paragon points up high enough to get her to be loyal. Thought having her with me would have saved her life.)
Here are the things I believe will effect our chances at defeating the reapers: 1. keeping the work towards curing the Krogan genophage 2. infecting the geth with the virus Legion re-wrote 3. Keeping the collector base for Cerberus The more Krogan and Geth we have to fight the Reapers the better. The collector base seems to be more of an unknown. Will keeping it come back to bite us in the ass? Would you work with the devil if it meant saving the galaxy? |

I think weather or not you let the Rachni queen go in the first one is going to play a part in it as well.
