Jordan's a good bet. I thought they were going to give him a run around SummerSlam. My money is on Finn Balor at the moment.

He's been incredible for longer than a year.
He's serving his purpose to be honest. He's right where he should be and gets ton of camera time and work. |

Heres the thing tho...it wont. No matter how much people agree that he is hotnright now and on a good run there's still one issue: he has no credibility. Everyone has beaten him for a decade. Itll just be another title change.
Which isnt a knock at him in anyway. |

I think it's just "head canon," but I think it will mean a little bit more than it normally would. Not "a lot," but it will be odd to see someone else with the belt, since The Miz has established a nice little association with it. I mean, yeah, he's dropped it so many times at this point, but I think this is his heaviest run.

I hope that however he loses it, that he snaps.
No, not the requisite "become a badass submission machine", but just completely loses his shit. He's wrapped up so much of his identity in being IC champion, especially on this run, that he could use it as a catalyst to freshen up again. Gets told he has to get to the "back of the line". He becomes inconsolable by the Miztourage. Stops giving a fuck how he looks. He starts kicking much ass and gets DQ's and ref reversed decisions for a hot minute. Becomes serious-pants obsessed with regaining the title... or ANY title. Hell, it could even be a gateway where he steps back up to main event, but not really neccessary. |

Miz would be hilarious playing tough though. It would be so unbelievable.

I love Miz love everything about huis current run he's not lying about the relevance he has given the IC belt. That said since I can't have my Nakamura's V Miz's face I want Joe to be the guy to take it from him. I think having Joe hold it as damn near unbeatable(the Brock of IC title scene basically) would make it mean more if Jordan or Balor takes it off of him instead of Miz but first having Miz live in mortal fear of Joe and pretty much running for the hills or just barely getting away with the belt for a while would be fun.

You have to admit that The Miz is easily one of the best workers WWE has had in quite a while. He is one of the few reasons to keep watching.
He will be a Awesome manager at the end of his ring career. |

I don't really like The Miz but it's pretty much because I find his character annoying af. But then I suppose that means he is doing a great job. It's confusing.

Would you pay money to see him lose? Or would you rather watch something else when he is on?

On one hand, no, I wouldn't want to pay money to see Miz beat up because, quite frankly, I'm sick of seeing him chew up so much screen time. It's getting to Hunter's "Reign of Terror" levels of exposure, and he gets trounced on the regular (except when it counts, of course) so it isn't quite so reserved a pleasure to see him get his ass kicked. However, he is the one doing the most work to actually get people to want to see him get his. In the realm of "being a heel is a lost art", he is quite masterful in an era of heels getting over as faces ironically, generic heel heat being dished out like candy, heel turns for no reason, and heels who are somehow supposed to be heels by osmosis. He's carrying the heel side of the show mostly alone. A close second is really Paul Heyman, but Heyman is an advocate for an amoral loner tweener prizefighter, and is generally only truly a situational heel. Then there's Roman, but that's more the super transparent bid to make him the be-all end-all than him actually being a heel. Braun was supposed to be one just because "big and menacing". But because he kicked much ass on the regular and won more than he lost, he got over as a face in Steve Austin fashion. Funny how that works. Enzo was more out this petty punishment whatever, but he's the cruiserweight division heel, so who really gives a shit since nobody watches 205 Live? Bray? Weeks of cryptic promos just to lose ALL THE TIME does not a menace make. Miz doesn't quite have "X-Pac heat" with me, but it is getting there mainly because of how much I'm seeing the guy as opposed to what he's doing being the shits, because it truly isn't. Miz just needs help in the form of properly booked heels being elsewhere. |

I'm going to be honest.
Although I haven't watched WWE programming in years, I still watch segments on YouTube on regular occasion. Many of those segments involve The Miz. I'm not a huge fan of his wrestling, but his promos are excellent. |
