I think Ali had way more momentum behind him over the past couple of months, and he's definitely been the better promo, performer, and character, but you almost had to pull the trigger on Cedric here since he's been bumped out of winning the title by circumstances beyond his control like 75 times and if he doesn't get it here, there's really no excuse for him this time and he'd kind of dead in the water.

I wonder if going forward one of them is going to turn heel are they just going to continue to be really competitive faces/ rivals
