I'm expecting a Sheamus/Beaker interaction. And something with Miss Piggy/Kelly Kelly/Vickie G.

I know the term "Muppets" is loosely used, but come on. Anyone in their right mind knows that they're probably referring to characters exclusively from Jim Henson's shows and not Sesame Street, with the exception of Kermit, who has made quite a few cameos on SS.

She started saying that after watching her first indy show I was booked on taggin with her paran. She thought "the fakers killed me" when she witness the post-match beatdown from our next opponents for a future show. I think her grandmother put that in her head, because she would always tell me that when I was younger that wrestling was fake, haha.

The Sesame Street puppets are indeed Muppets, and were under Henson banner until Disney bought the Henson company out.

So they are, technically, Muppets, by any definition. You can argue the post-buyout puppets not being Muppets, but anything pre-buyout is a Muppet. So none of the Sesame Street characters will appear tonight because they're not owned by Disney.

For the record, I only know this because PWInsider's audio revolved heavily around Muppets this past week.

LOL, talk about your splitting hairs. But obviously you know more about the Muppets than I would ever care to...have a friend who's in his 30's and still likes them. Nothing wrong with that I guess, I just never got into it that much despite plenty of SS watching as a kid.

Are we off-air? CM Punk and Cena vs Miz and Truth, it all took about 5 seconds. Punk came out in a dracula mask. They both nailed their finishers to end it. Now Punk is taunting by doing the Hogan ear thing to the crowd. GTS. Now Justin Roberts said "Here is your winner. Dracula!". Punk is hyping up the crowd before leaving. Just walked past me and gave me a fist bump. Great Raw.

Punk ran back out to bow to the crowd and slap a few high-fives. Very cool. Cena just ran by me and said to everyone "I had six moves today, did you see?!?!"

Punks pop(s) were huge, don't get me wrong. Atlanta is definitely an anti-Cena pro Punk city, but Ryder's was bigger in the arena. Honestly, this crowd loved Drew, Jomo, Ryder, Rock, and Punk.

I can't believe that Raw was that enjoyable. Good matches and the muppets segments fit seamlessly with the show and it didn't come off corny at all. Hate the Cole and J.R. feud though. Leave Jim Ross on t.v. or keep him off. Stop with the announcer centered storylines.

Still trying to figure out why the hell they had a short, well-booked match with Mark Henry and CM Punk and a long, horribly booked match with Big Show and ADR.

Just seemed really stupid to have the big show beat the WWE champion clean on Raw. Took a lot of steam out of this ADR/Punk confrontation for me.

Blakeamus
11-02-2011, 12:20 AM
Maybe by Show taking the pin with the WMD in WWE's booking was so CM Punk can come and do that promo of slipping the anaconda vice to make Del Rio give him the title shot. They could of done another DQ, with CM Punk attacking Del Rio from there. But I don't see it causing Del Rio losing any steam at all. They got three weeks of build-up. If Del Rio continues to get booked poorly and somehow drop it to Punk at SS, then I can totally understand your opinion.

James Steele
11-02-2011, 09:23 AM
I hope they don't blow their wad with CM Punk this soon. They could make WrestleMania white-hot if they don't waste the WWE Championship in the Rock/Cena match and have Punk chase for the belt until WM. I know it's cliche, but having Johnny Ace just go all-out evil boss eventually and "stack the deck" against Punk for months and screw him over and over only for him to finally overcome it at the Elimination Chamber to get a clean one-on-one WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. 2 huge main events that the people would be foaming at the mouth to see. Add another epic Undertaker match, the aura of being in a massive outdoor stadium, and a solid undercard, and you would have an amazing WrestleMania that might be untouchable for years.

WWE champions shouldn't be jobbing clean on weekly TV all the time. They're doing it to virtually all of them right now.

Mr. Nerfect
11-03-2011, 06:10 AM
Come on, everything here made perfect sense on paper. Henry is a beast right now, and shouldn't be losing much. The DQ made perfect sense, because it shows that Del Rio is being a worm and trying to duck Punk, and it makes people want to see Punk get his hands on Del Rio more. It's called build. It payed off later in the evening when Punk helped SmackDown!'s World Title's #1 Contender get a victory over the WWE Champion, which makes him look like a star worth watching. Punk then got to look like a bad-ass and got his match confirmed.

People will bitch about anything.

Was an okay show. Some good matches, liked most of the Muppet stuff.

Only really big gripe I have is that Cena can clearly take on Truth and Miz single-handedly and at a disadvantage with a sneak attack. Why does he need The Rock? It's the equivalent of a guy with a nerf gun going against two guys in state-of-the-art tanks. They're not even pretending that Cena doesn't have a chance, let alone Cena AND Rock.

Shadrick
11-03-2011, 02:31 PM
After being in the arena, then watching a torrent of Raw, as if it wasn't obvious already, they are CLEARLY manipulating the audio to make some guys reactions sound smaller and amping other ones. If you listen to Punks pop on TV and Zack Ryders pop, they seem completely different. In the actual arena, Ryders pop was hugeeeee and was a close second behind Punks.

Besides a small lag in the middle, I thought Ryder-Ziggler was a very good match. The two have good chemistry together (though Ziggler seemingly does with everyone).

All the more reason for a United States Championship rematch at Survivor Series, preferably with some kind of twist where Ryder wins via roll-up or leg on the rope w/o the ref noticing. I still say he'd be an excellent choice (probably the best right now, IMHO) to take the gold off Ziggy. Ziggy's held it for something like 4 months, and has had a solid run (2010 I think) on SD! with the IC belt, as well as a 5-day stint between RR '10 and the end of SD! the following week, as WHC, so it's not like he really needs to hold onto it any longer. Have him pass the US title on and have him and Swagger eventually defeat Air Boom for the WWE Tag titles.

XL
11-04-2011, 10:27 AM
