http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/graphics/blackpixel.gif</TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2> </TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=2>This past weekend we relayed the news (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=2375) that the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series would see a new DVD release in the Spring of 2005. One of our regular news contributors, Pavan Badal, has followed up with Lions Gate on this and reports that they have penciled in a release date of April 26th for what he describes as a "Season 2 DVD" release. Of course the date could move, since it hasn't been officially announced yet, but right now that's what we're looking at. Our thanks to Pavan for letting us know! Stay tuned for more info about this as we get closer to that timeframe.

Shut up. You can't be old enough to have appreciated the original series.

Yessssss

I was so disappointed with the Season 1 DVD, because there were only a few episodes.. And those bonus episodes sucked ass.

It'll be nice to see a bigger bulk of the old episodes though.

How many episodes are there in the first season and how many are on the DVD?

Of course those Bonus Episodes sucked. That was when the turtles were going downhill.

I cant wait for season 2. I picked up season 1 the first day because I saw it by accident. Cant wait for season 2. ...I just wished season 1 had a few more episodes on it but it was well worth the $10

How many episodes are there in the first season and how many are on the DVD?There are 5 "Season 1" eps and 4 "Never Before Seen!" eps. The NBS eps are from the tail end of the Turtles' run.

What is up with all that shitty HTML in the post, when I scrolled over the thread all I could see was the tables adn shit. Awful.

Anyways, season 1 was pwn. It was only a few episodes, but they were sexcellent. The season 10 bonus eps were kinda awful, but then, after season 8 the series sucked so that's fine. Season 2 will be much

Season 3 & 4 will = ad;kghad;kgha   though

They've listed April 26th as the release date for the next 13 episodes in the series. Episodes include:
Return of the Shredder
The Incredible Shrinking Turtles
It Came from Beneath the Sewers
The Mean Machines
Curse of the Evil Eye
Case of the Killer Pizzas
Enter: the Fly
Invasion of the Punk Frogs
The Catwoman from Channel Six
Return of the Technodrome
New York's Shiniest
Splinter No More
Teenagers from Dimension X
The 289 min DVD will include English stereo sound, and a 1.33:1 picture. DVDEmpire has cover art on their site, but we'll try and get some unmodified artwork from Lions Gate directly. We were unable to get ahold of anyone at the studio to ask about special features; DVDEmpire doesn't list any. The SRP for the disc is $14.98, though Empire is preselling it for just $9.89.
