well that 3 record is as good as Ray's. Lakers arent defending him for squat considering dude has scored HALF the Celtics points.

Lakers traditionally have very solid 3rd quarters, and the Celts tend to be hit or miss during the 4th, so i still feel comfortable

Celtics really improved a lot in rebounding and 3pt shooting compared to the 1st game. A bit worried for a while when Lakers got hot to start the 3rd Quarter but Celtics stopped them unlike the 1st game.

good to see KG still gets away with illegal screens and holding. Cant count how many times he's held Pau during his 'screens'

1) every Celtic's fan should suck Ray Allen's weenie tonight. 2) If the Lakers allow people to break records every game they will have trouble. That being said, Allen single handedly won this game for the Celts, but i dont expect him to break records against the Lakers all that often.

Yea the Celtics aren't going to win another game unless players are breaking records. Rondo sucks because of Game 1 too

So what? Are you convinced they're going to be a one man show every night?
If Kobe got half the Lakers points you would be talking about mama there goes that man, but when Ray Allen does it it's a cause for concern for the Celtics. There's still plenty of basketball left. That stuff comes across more as a way to difuse the loss rather than actual analysis. |

There was very shitty calls in this game, both on the Lakers and Celts, but some key breakdowns and bad calls kept pulled the Celts ahead. Even now, Bynum killed it, Kobe did his, and Pau played solid, but IM really wondering when Odom is gonna step up and another one of our guards. |

im not mad at Allen. Ive stated time and time again i am a huge Ray fan, and love to watch the guy go to work. Im more pissed at the Lakers not defending him at all costs in the first half and the horrible calls.
Like, seriously, did that ball really go off Pau Gasol's black hand? It was clearly off KG. As usual KG got away with holding on his screens, but im not gonna complain too much because Bynum got away with alot of pushing on his screens. |

how so? I give Allen credit, say the Lakers played shitty defense on him, and mentioned that the ref's were calling shitty fouls on both sides of the ball. The only thing i have really stated was that there were some key calls during the final minutes that went against the Lakers that were a crock.

nobody, Celt or Laker fan, can say that that ball went off Pau Gasol's hand, when it was so clearly in the palm of KG. At that point Lakers were down by 3 and could have had possession...instead Rondo hits a shot and everything slides down hill from there.

No matter how you slice it, there is still a strong potential that there are 5 games left to play
Thursday and tonight were two completely different games, and I'm sure nothing is written in stone. KG does look bad, but I highly doubt Pierce is going to come out at home and have another game like that. Rondo's Game 1 performance is less likely to be the trend than tonight's is. We'll see. |

i know people like to say Rondo is the Celts key to a championship, but really its Ray Allen and Pierce. If they can have nights like Allen had tonight, its going to spread the Lakers defense. If not, its gonna look alot like game 1.
On the other side, the Lakers need to play the passing lanes better, and pound the ball inside for scoring at potential fouls. |

I think the Celtics have proved that no one player is the key to their success. It's 4 players, if anything. That's why they are in the finals, against teams that have more of a "key to success" like Wade, Lebron and Howard.

i know there is more ball to be played...but the Laker fan in me wants to see the Lakers beat the Celts the way the Celts beat the Lakers. Even if the Lakers take it in 7 on the final possession at the buzzer, it will be classic...but it will still leave me with that bitter taste from Game 6 of 08

lol Kendrick Perkins. Although he does need to stay in the series if they are going to win. I just like to joke about him as the odd man out.
