SBC still has the common sense to realize what a huge disappointment he'd be if he were really one.

I was thinking, and I think the film is a bit of a letdown because it changes the character of the show a lot. Borat was essentially the exact same person on TV as he was in the film, whereas Bruno is quite different. He's also pretty unlikable, so you don't really feel anything for him.
Having said that, if Bruno came before Borat it'd have a lot more praise I think, it's still a great film. The scene where Paula Abdul boasts about humanitarian work whilst sat on a Mexican is good |

The only way I will see any of this movie is by accident - the same way I saw a few minutes of Borat while waiting for Burn Notice to come on.

I went in with my expectations pretty low after hearing some of the negative reviews and really enjoyed myself. Obv not as good as Borat, it really couldn't be, but still funnier than 99% of comedies that come out.

Diesel Mac you are basically half of the people being made fun of this movie so you would definitely hate it

I dunno, not really stoked to see this at all. I thought Borat was funny, but not really my type of humour I guess. Might see it if a bunch of friends drag me to, type thing.

Just saw it last night. Nowhere near as funny as Borat, but still had his moments.
The part at the end of the MMA event where they show the one guy crying made me lol. Bruno also trying to make a sex tape with Ron Paul was also classic. "I couldn't even film a sex tape with Ru Paul." |

Everyone is comparing Bruno to Borat so I will do the same. I found Borat funnier, but I found the presentation of Bruno to be a little more crisp. Borat is just a funnier character. Everyone loves clueless foreigners. There's a reason why Balki Bartokomous is a household name.
Overall the movie was great. And yes, the best part of the movie was his pilot. It would be awesome if they had the "full" half an hour pilot on the dvd. |

Definately found Borat better. I thought this movie was funny and had great parts, but it really felt forced. I probably will never watch Bruno again but it was definately funnier than a lot of comedies out there.

Compared to Borat, it does not have the same novelty effect, but I still laughed a lot, and it is very good overall.

I just rewatched his movie the other day. This movie is hilarious but I had to fast forward through some parts. The peoples reactions at the TV show focus group was great, and him trying to seduce republican Ron Paul (and calling him Ru Paul) was priceless when Ron started FREAKING out
