The BBC trailer is excellent. I just love the music. The BBC America trailer isn't as great, but it does give you a fairly good look at the rather horrible looking aliens from the opening two parter.
Only 3 weeks to wait. |

Also, some interesting stuff to spot in the BBC trailer.
Rory and Amy in the Ninth/Tenth Doctor era control room and River in the time ship from The Lodger to name but two. |

Aren't they splitting the season into two halfs, like the americans. They will show the first 7 episodes then have a break until september.
Quite annoying if they do, though it will shorten the break between season and xmas special. |

I heard that to a while ago but didn't hear anything confirmed. Don't see the point in it tbh.

Yeah. That's what they're going to do. 7 episodes in the Spring and then 6 in the fall... At least we'll have Tochwood to bridge the gap

If that's the case I hope they do the same on the Space channel here in Canada rather than pushing it back until all the episodes have already aired elsewhere instead of only being a week or two behind that would suck big time.

Space will be airing it a matter of hours behind the UK.

Oh in that case it would be OK. But everyone would've forgotten the cliffhanger by then.....

If it's a good cliffhanger, you won't forget it.

I'm not sure I like Rory tagging along. I guess he'd have to be in the picture since he and Amy are married and it seems they're going to push the Doctor and River angle a bit more, but I always hated the episodes where the male companions were along for the entire ride. Captain Jack was/is the only exception.
The monsters for the first two episodes are supposed to be the best since the Weeping Angels so if that's the case it should be some exciting stuff. 16 days left. |

Well it's come straight from Steven Moffat who claims it is. But I'm still pretty cynical about it. There'll be a cop out, somehow.

I've gotta assume (hope) Rory if it's legit. We've seen River die. The Doctors "died" 10 times and has regenerated or been revived in some way or another including at the end of last season... And killing off Amy... would suck because I have a thing for red headed women with Scottish accents.

Well, they could probably find an asspull for him to regenerate as Matt Smith again, like they did with Ten and the hand, but that'd be awful. Plus, I don't think Moffat's going to pull a RTD. Maybe River dies again, aborting the earlier death. |

So if any of the Doctor's companions had to die a horrible death during their season that they couldn't come back from and would be completely written out forever never to return, who would you guys choose and why?
For me it would have to be Donna. Her character grew on me quite a bit, but not in a "damn that sucks she got killed off way." I'd be more sad if her Grandpa died to be honest. Martha is still my favorite of all the companions and Amy is a hot redhead. I guess I could let Rose go too. In hindsight, her storyline wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as Martha or Donna's and she's not as hot as Amy. Also, who of all the companions would you give a spin off to ala the Sarah Jane Chronicles? Rose's life in the parallel universe could be interesting. Martha's too since she went rogue with Mickey Smith. |

Only 9 days or so until some hot Amy Pond action...erm, I mean the new series of Doctor Who. Quite looking forward to it, which is unusual for me when it concerns tv programs. They have been reshowing Series 5 lately, so I will be all up to date come 23rd.

Getting my hair cut at the same time though. Wonder if I can get the hair dryer to be quiet? |

I was so hyped for it I don't think it could ever meet my expectations.
I enjoyed it though. Didn't play out at all how I expected it to. |

First episode was great not gonna spoil it but there's a huge wtf moment near the start that I didn't expect which I could see as becoming a trend for this season.

I think the second episode will give people the payoff they were looking for. There was definitely an uneasy feeling throughout the episode.

Loved the episode, especially for the fact that the Doctor had no idea what was going on so the usual feeling of everything's going to be alright wasn't there. Definitely were some WTF moments too though.
