I always get "WrestleMania is almost over" withdrawals halfway through the show whenever there's downtime. Gonna be sad waking up tomorrow with no WrestleMania for 365-ish days.

Is this the first time the WWE is doing a Wrestlemania post-show event?
If its just interview and recaps, probably won't bother watching it considering Raw would just recap anything big tomorrow. |

Yeah, probably just some interviews and stuff. Nothing major I'm sure.

How is it at all mark-ish? He's just stating a fact. He wouldn't be able to do the make-a-wish stuff and all that jazz if he were a heel. Don't be blind just because your personal enjoyment hinges on whether he's a good guy or a bad guy.

CM Punk and others still do all that shit. The only difference is he wouldn't be the face of WWE's PR campaigns and get himself over as Mr. Wonderful. Cena is a mark for himself.

Bret Hart thought losing the belt in Canada would shatter a country, and John Cena thinks all of WWE's PR initiatives would fail without him.

According to Punk (and others), when he turned heel he was still doing those requests. Even Hogan and Austin have mentioned before in the past they were still doing requests even in their heel phases.
Either Cena really enjoys the spotlight for those events to the point he doesn't want to let someone else be seen as the main "good guy" or has the Bret Hart mentality of he's been a good guy for soo long, he can't envision himself being a bad guy for the kids. Bret basically had to be forced a bit to finally turn heel which lead to the great Canada/Hart vs USA/DX feud of the early Attitude Era. |

Curd is correct.
Punk does not nor did he ever do what Cena did as far as the younger demo. Hart losing a match is a terrible analogy to Cena turning heel. |

I still think you can have heels doing PR and that sort of stuff. Photos of fans posing with The Shield, for example. The Miz was on talk shows as a heel. I think Triple H used to do them as a heel, too. It would just be mad awks for the crippled kid to turn on WWE and see his hero being a total douche.

"fans posing with..." and "being on a talk show" do not = appealing to children and visiting dying kids as their last wish.

It's all PR stuff, #1-wwf-fan. If dying kids wanted to see The Shield, they would do that too.

Dying kids want to see Cena... because he's a their hero... he's portrayed as the good guy. It's not complicated.

Fan you may be surprised what these kids like. My 7 year old Godson loves Dean Ambrose, no bullshit. Before Ambrose, he loved Cody and Matt Hardy and he's 7, so I know he doesn't remember those classic tag table matches.
Kids' taste may surprise you sometimes. I know it shocks the fuck outta me. |

The fact that Cena is literally the top guy in the company simply because he appeals to kids should pretty much wrap any random argument one would try to start up about The Shield up. Unless dying makes kids say "fuck it, bring me a heel!"
In which case I'm sure WWE would send some. And Cena wouldn't set records for wishes granted and whatnot. |

CM Punk does a ton of make a wish stuff apparently but he doesn't want it publicized
so clearly some kids want to see heels |

If he doesn't want it publicized, he's doing a terrible job of keeping it secret obviously.

I'm pretty sure he said it on the Nerdist podcast where there isn't that much wrestling fan crossover, and I'm also pretty sure he said he doesn't like WWE to publicize it since he's trying to be the bad guy.
Also I'm not one hundred percent sure I didn't hallucinate or dream this |

It would be very facepalm-worthy if he did make a point to say in any public forum that he does something he doesn't want publicity for. Obscure podcast or not.
As someone who likes CM Punk I hope you dreamed or hallucinated this because I don't want to think of him as someone who would do something that lame. |

Alright, got some stats right here.
John Cena was recently honored by Make-a-wish for being the only celebrity to grant 300 wishes. No information on the number of wishes any members of The Shield have granted. Tough to find. Surely it's a cover-up. |
