I wouldn't mind a guy like Ziggler or Sheamus over Big Show. You really have nothing to lose if you're one of those guys. If you even put up a remotely decent fight against Lesnar, you come out looking stronger than you did before and Lesnar gets another victim. Everyone wins. Though I think Ziggler needs a little more of a push to make people believe a little that WWE MIGHT actually believe in him enough to be a main eventer and thus the match actually means something.

they're gonna have to find some guys to do the job for him until WM, so i'd say those would be legitimate options after big show. what else are they going to do? not have him defend the title? throw heath slater at him?

Ziggler is too damn low on the totem pole, and he's small to boot. For him to even be taken remotely seriously he needs to become a legit threat again. The rumored Bray Wyatt feud could do that for him. Sheamus on the other hand could pop right up there IF he beats Cesaro in this current feud. Problem with both these is that they'll both have to keep their current titles which with WWE means they can't challenge for another for some odd reason. I honestly don't know why WWE has a problem with champions fighting for other titles. |

There aren't any REALLY good options. It just speaks to how bad of a job they've done at pushing guys for a decade plus now. Show was a good choice for a transitional squash match for Lesnar before WrestleMania. Following that up by pretending he can beat Lesnar for the title 9 months later is just odd though.
I actually thought that the Rumble match was booked perfectly. No one in their right mind thought Show was a threat to Lesnar so it's not like they were gonna be able to build much drama during the match. So they accomplished what needed to be accomplished in two minutes and got it over with. A title match kinda requires something more though. Unless they've got an opponent planned for Cena that's so good that it can headline without a title and you can let Brock squash Show in a midcard title match I guess. Not sure who would fit THAT role though. |

Oh I agree with you completely that Show is a terrible idea. You said it yourself though, there is no ideal person for Lesnar to face right now. Honestly I'm not so sure that Lesnar winning was a good thing now that I think about it. I mean it'll put whoever beats him over the freaking moon, but what happens in the meantime now? Honestly it's hard to believe that WWE didn't think about this before they put the strap on him... Actually, no, it's not hard to believe at all. WWE is completely incompetent anymore.

There's a limit to where they'll accept it as a main event though. That's why I said, they might have to find a way to make whatever the Cena match is a legit main event even without the title involved and let Lesnar squash Show in a title match in the midcard.

lesnar isn't the concern, though. it's what happens to guys that he destroys. it's not like they're going to ruin anyone's momentum since nobody has any, but it'd be nice to use brock to help elevate the guys he faces as he destroys them.

Jericho could work. He's established and could put on a good match. If only he hadn't lost that last match to the Wyatts, he could actually have been considered a threat. I mean don't get me wrong, I wish the Wyatts weren't getting buried, but if they were going to be then it should have been to make Jericho look good so he could feud with Lesnar for a short stint. It'd even be a great way to write Jericho off since he wants to leave again. Just have Lesnar beat him to a pulp to the point that he's "unable to compete indefinitely". Makes Lesnar even more dangerous looking and doesn't kill anyone's momentum.
