Talked to HR Braud at work today about Westworld..... she agreed with me about it being "good", but having the feeling that she would be "fine with it" if it didn't have a second season..... Good to know someone shares my opinions.....

My wife said the same thing, however she is also very excited for the next season and where they will head with the various story lines. I love everything about it!

Read something (from someone involved with the show, don't remember whom/where) saying that the first season is almost like a "prequel" to what the "actual show" will be going forward... interesting
They apparently have like at least 5 seasons already planned out, which seems good, so it won't be like written "on the fly" like a lot of people say seemed to be happening with Lost (idk never seen Lost) |

Also the paper that Maeve gets with the location of her daughter says "Park 1" on it. "Park 1" is not necessarily the "Westworld" park, so Maeve could end up in a different park next season.

Also Ed Harris (Man in Black) has signed up for next season already.
Anthony Hopkins has not (yet at least). The show creator said in some interview that he "actually died" so I guess it wasn't a host version of himself or w/e (sry for no links, read a bunch of stuff yesterday and finally felt like posting). But that doesn't rule out the possibility obv that he could come back in some other way. Jimmi Simpson (William) will not be in season 2 (obviously I guess since his part is p much wrapped up) |

They wrote Season 1 in a way so it could stand alone as a story had HBO not picked up more seasons while leaving a little on the table in order to go into future seasons. |

In the movies, other world's are a medieval world, future world and I believe a Samurai world but I'm not positive about the last one.

Hopkins made me believe his character knew that he couldn't escape the Board so he wanted to go out on his terms. Didn't really think he'd host himself, but we'll see,,, |

Imagine if a used ketchup packet was at the center of the Maze. I would have known slik had designed it. Who else would do such a thing?

Can't wait for 18 months of speculatory articles, fake script leaks, random still shots from the set of Rachel Evan Woods eating a bagel during a break, and over analyzed quotes from cast and crew during comic con panels.

The thing about Arby's is they never put enough roast beef on there sandwiches. I swear its like 25% bread and that shit aint cheap either. There salads dont even fill the salad bowl. They are the real Jew's of the industry.

I just watched the entire thing across two nights.
Westworld is the best first season of a sci fi show since Rod Serling brought out The Twilight Zone in 1959. It may be the best introduction to a series I've seen this millennium. I mean I'd have to say the writing, acting and production in Westworld are more immediately attractive to me than the opening seasons of Breaking Bad, Narcos, True Detective, Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, The Wire, The Sopranos, Banshee and Sons Of Anarchy. I think only Justified, Deadwood and Vikings gave me anywhere near as much instant gratification. This is pretty much a perfect season for a person like me. It's also one of the most sensibly feminist shows I have ever seen. Virtually every human male is in some way obviously pathetic, lacking or just plain detestable. I think a place like that would be filled with the worst kind of dirty bastard. Alongside that they have done a fantastic job writing the dialogue for Thandie Newton's Maeve and Evan Rachel Wood's Dolores, even the human character Theresa was written so that you could enjoy the dramatic u-turn her situation takes and suddenly sympathise in horror as the realisation dawns on you. I loved this show. |

Yo, SyFy had a 48 hour marathon of Twilight Zone, the improved picture quality makes them even more revisitable

Word, XL. Trying to do the same. Maybe I'll get extra hyped for it and be able to convince my wife when some season 2 trailers drop.

I thought maybe a teaser. Remember it just being shots of main characters but nothing that gave anything away plot wise. Maybe that counts, but they haven't even set a premier date I don't think. Would like to re watch right before the new season starts to have a seamless transition into 2 with everything fresh in mind. Really want that for this show. Lots of things to forget about.
